Sometimes, candidates have to face facts.
Such as Antwon Womack, a candidate for the School Board in Birmingham, Ala., who misrepresented his age and education and now faces a career crisis.
The young candidate claimed on his campaign Website and Facebook that he is 23 and a graduate of West End High School with a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Alabama A&M. But the Birmingham News found that Womack is 21, dropped out of Wenonah High School in 2004 as a freshman and never attended A&M.
"My campaign is not based on a foundation of lies," Womack said, by way of explanation. "My values are not lies. It's just the information I provided to the people is false...
'"This here is not the end of the world,'' he said, maintaining that he was only looking for a little more respect from the voters with his embellishments. He also ran for mayor of Tarrant a while back, and lost. And, while he hopes to stay in this race, he'll probably have to drop out, he allowed, "because when people read this, there's no way I can win...
"This is really going to hurt my political career.''

Hurt his political career? Are you kidding me? This should virtually ensure his bright future in the US Congress. Congratulations, son. You are now ready for the big leagues.

All he needs is to cheat on his taxes and he would fit right in the Obama cabinet.

If he is a Democrat and came to Illinois, he'd win no problem here. Illinois voters, especially Democrats, think the dirtier the politican, the better.

He has a bright future in the GOP. All he has to do is cheat on his wife, then tearfully apologize, and he'll be ready to run for President.

Don Fitz, former Republican, bill r., gibster, where did you get the idea that Antwon Womack is a Republican? His Facebook page says he's a Democrat.
A little research is good before you go off half-cocked (just as it would have been good for Obama before he acted stupidly). Google "Antwon Womack;" his Facebook page is part way down the first page of hits.
