Sarah Palin is a speed-writer, it appears, or perhaps the hired evangelical collaborator on her forthcoming memoirs is a task-master.
But without question, her publisher is a markerting whiz:
Going Roque is the announced title of the book that the former governor of Alaska and 2008 GOP candidate for vice president is delivering to a ready public.
And it will be hitting the bookstores much sooner than expected: By Thanksgiving, in time for the holiday book-buying season. It had been targeted for a spring release.
The way NBC News' Norah O'Donnell tells the tale, as she did this morning, Palin was holed up in San Diego with her collaborator, an evangelical publisher, all of August - her whole family was there.
"Going rogue" was the complaint that a faction of the McCain campaign had for a running mate who wasn't too interested in the professional advice of the paid campaign staff. Going rogue also is what Palin did in resigning from the governor's office in July.
"Going rogue'' is what Saturday Night Live's Tina Fey said she was doing when she made a famous aside in a pre-election SNL skit with the real McCain displaying a set of McCain pork knives and other wares for a faux QVC ad -- "Palin in 2012,'' read the T-shirt that Fey held up.
"I'm certainly not going back to Alaska,'' Fey-Palin said then, with prophetic words from the comic.
HarperCollins plans a press run of 1.5 million copies of Going Rogue: An American Life, ready for release on Nov. 17, says the publisher, a unit of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. That's the size of the printing of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy's memoir, True Compass.
With more than 900,000 followers signed up for a growing Facebook audience that Palin has amassed since leaving office, she is certain to have a ready audience for a lot of stocking stuffers.
Quitting public office midway through her term has given a focused Palin a lot of time to pen a personal memoir, and she has used that time well, it seems - though the full read on that question remains for the expedited release of Going Rogue.

Palin will get destroyed in the Repub primary. No way will she come out of that. If you think what you read from the left is bad, wait till the Mitt Romney politics of destruction comes down. She doesn't have a chance.

Sounds like Palin is acting like "going rogue" is a badge of honor. Not very presidential, though, is it?

"Going off the deep end" is more like it.

What a joke this woman is. Do you really, really believe she wrote her book? How long will it take before it's in the bargain bin?

I hope she runs in 2012 because if there's one thing America loves, it's a quitter!

Palin is much smarter than most are giving her credit. She knows that Americans attention span is short. She is using her popularity to get rich. The speeches at $100 grand each and quickie book deals are going to make her very rich. She has to do this quickly because her popularity will diminish over time as the 24 hour media will switch their focus to someone else. Typical politician, more about getting rich than for the good of the country.

I love seeing all the liberal heads explode at the mere mention of Sarah Palin.
If she decides to run in 2012, she will cruise to an easy victory - especially after the diseaster that currently occupies the White House.

I will read this book. When it comes to the library.

Going Vague.
That would be mavericky.

She's probably the best we've got. Too bad she's a woman. I prefer men with smarts and balls like Michael Savage and Glenn Beck. Course a man who know the whole truth would be better. But I only know of one.

Who really wrote the book??

Savage is incredibly smart. He asked his dim witted listeners for money to fund a civil law suit. He claimed he was saving America. The suit was for undetermined monetary reimbursement for use of clips of his radio show. When Savage determined that he could not win, he withdrew the lawsuit. He then kept his listeners money. You may consider that balls but most consider it theft.

As a women, I would be interested to read it as she is a strong part of our country and is a strong women with strong morals and integrity and a Christian as I am. She is a mother of many children and has been able to be successful at that and other things…this is commendable, if you ask me…

What the Hey! Hey Sarah, Rupert Murdoch is sticking money into this enterprise? What a crew, Murdoch, Glenn, Limbaugh, Palin, Enzi, Ensign, Joe Wilson. Just a bunch of right wing nuts! Remember the Republicans never do anything for this country, they only do things to this country, ask Newt! whiteagle38

Sarah Palin is the strongest woman we have, maybe stronger than most men. But I prefer a man like Savage or Beck who is right (not as right as me but I could be their Joseph) and has the biggest pair in these United States.

Alaska was a pretty corrupt system until Palin stepped in. Her reforms took on entrenched politicians (inc. Republicans), a mafioso-style union boss, and Big Oil.
Wouldn’t it have been nice if Obama had been principled and brave enough to confront the corrupt Chicago Democratic Machine? Or shady political operators like Tony Rezko? Racist preachers? Instead of doing business with every last one of them?
IMO people could end up voting for the Gipper-in-Heels in droves- they’ll surely being looking for some such antidote to the Bolshevik con-artist who’s taking a wrecking-ball to this society now.
Small wonder then that the far-left moonbats -along with Team Obama’s David Plouffe’s internet squad- are out to destroy her. And the fact that she's been highly successful in life while rejecting liberal feminism explains the extra dose of venom in the attacks-
Go get em ‘Cuda- you’re one tough lady… and there’s a lot of us behind you.

Definition of 'rogue' from Merriam-Webster: dishonest or mischievous person. Need more be said? I only question the 'Going' part. More likely, 'Been Rogue'.

Sarah Palin is #1 in 100 with Amazon.com and made the bestseller's list with Brarnes & Noble in ONE day. ONE day. WOO-HOO. Balls or not, she got what it takes. And the media can't destroy her now because she has outwitted all of them. Suckers!
Remember to change your adult pampers throughout the day or else you may find yourself standing alone.

Some guy by the name of Anderson wrote Obama's book. Do the research.

Merriam-Webster's additional definitions used as an adjective or a verb with an object:
Main Entry: rogue elephant
Function: noun - 1: a vicious elephant that separates from the herd and roams alone, 2: one whose behavior resembles that of a rogue elephant in being aberrant or independent, 3: to weed out inferior, diseased, or nontypical individuals from a crop plant or a field. Ironically M/W used the elephant as a metaphor and not the donkey. Says volumes.
Palin's taken a path not a man even with balls would dare to take. She is treading a beat to a different drummer. Good luck ya'll.

The corrupted media created "Talking Machine" Barack Obama, and the People elected "Yes We Can". And we see the result: yes, Obama can bail out banks and insurance companies, destroy our economy and create a huge deficit.
What is difference with Sarah Palin? Nothing, same, next "Talking Machine", but from Republican Party now.
I can't understand why people will waste money and time on her book? I don't want her book even for free: waste time.
