The Swamp

by Mark Silva

John Ellis Bush was on his way to Washington, where he senses a lot of Bush-blaming going on lately. The younger brother of the 43rd president and son of the 41st told FOX and Friends this morning that it's time for people to move on.

Asked about House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer blaming the former President Bush for the nation's fiscal outlook, Jeb Bush said:

"I was on the plane yesterday coming up to Washington and I heard someone complain that their child's acne was because of George Bush. Of course last week the Olympics didn't come to Chicago, that was my brother's fault.

"And at some point people are going to have to put on their big-boy pants and assume responsibility for the great challenges and opportunities our country has...

"I don't know how much longer leaders, responsible leaders in Congress, can continue to say these things,'' said Bush, the former governor of Florida who is in town for a two-day conference on education reform (more on that later in the Swamp.)

"It seems to me that the Obama administration and Congress is moving under the philosophy of Joe Biden, which is, when you have a fiscal crisis and you're moving towards bankruptcy to spend more money,'' Bush told his friends at FOX. "The budget deficit, if sustained over the long haul, is perhaps our greatest challenge as a nation...there are deficits as far as the eye can see, not just this year, but for the next 10."

Here to talk about education, which he made the centerpiece of his time in Tallahassee, Bush said: "The strategies to make sure that we have student learning ought to be centered at the school level, I do admire President Obama's commitment to take on the education establishment, the unions and the folks that are really adult-centered, This is a place where I think we need to find common ground and both the secretary of education and the president deserve credit....

""I think we need a total transformation in the system...in some cases it may be longer school days, in some cases it may be longer school years, in some cases it may be embracing the internet and online learning... there's lots of things that may be done but we need to move away from the adults in the system...

"This is, outside of the current economic challenges we face, this is the No. 1 priority for our country."

Doesn't Jeb Bush know that if things go wrong during Obama's administration (as they have), it can't be the Anointed One's fault?

It has to be the fault of President Bush, or Millard Fillmore, or those EEEEvil Republicans, or that favorite standby of the Left--"racism".

Keith BLOlbermann Drinking Game Scheduled for tonight

by Derek Hunter
Let’s be honest, the only way to watch Keith Olbermann is drunk–blind drunk. That would explain his anemic ratings and his small but loyal following. Real drunks always frequent the same bars.

Since Olbermann is dedicating his show tonight to White House talking points on health care, I figured I might as well make it interesting by creating a drinking game for it.

Note: I don’t recommend watching Countdown, there is always something more entertaining and informative on the Watching Paint Dry network, but if your morbid curiosity gets the better of you make sure you have booze handy.

Take a drink every time Keith does one of the following:

•Says “sir” in anger. (Three if it’s a “How dare you, sir!)
•Mentions Sarah Palin (Two if he throws in a pejorative like “failed” or “quitter” first, three if he talks about Trig and the health care he got.)
•Each time he mentions the bogus 44,000 people who die each year for lack of health insurance number.
•Each time he mentions 46, 47 or 50 million uninsured. (Do a shot if he uses the new 30 million number.)
•Praises Canada, France or the UK. (Second sip when he says long lines are a lie.)
•Each time he says “death panel” and Palin.
•Each time he claims Republicans have no plan or solutions. Do a shot when he says Republicans want people to die.
•With every mention of Rush, Hannity, Beck or Levin (aka people with an audience).
•Finish your drink each time he exploits someone’s personal health care horror story and presents it as the norm.
•Chug from the bottle if he mentions the fact that Medicare rejects more claims than any other insurance plan in the country.
•Finish the bottle if he tells the truth about anything, accidentally or on purpose. (I was going to say that you take a drink each time he lies but I don’t want to cause a nationwide wave of alcohol poisoning.)

Feel free to add your own rules in the comments.

Follow these guidelines and you’ll be more drunk than Teddy Kennedy on, well, an average Tuesday in the 70’s. And that might just be enough to tolerate spending an hour watching Keith Olbermann…maybe.

Enjoy!

Hasn't that gang of fiscal-marauders, from Silverado to the Weasels on Wall Street, learned yet, the best comment is "no comment". Obviously, they wanted to make some news! Maybe, that Jeb Stuart, oops, I mean, Jeb Bush will be running on the Republican-Libertarian ticket, for " Dog-catcher of Fayetteville ". I think he may have a chance in that race, as long as those mutts don't have any bank accounts, or insurance policies, that can be rifled !!
I would like him to tell all of our men and women, in our Armed Forces, who gave the ultimate sacrifice, to move on, to get over it. What callousness, what phony patriotism, these Bushes&Cheneys, champion !! Listen, kid, your are better off, keeping your ignorant comments to yourself !!

The Nine Voting Lives of ACORN's
by Darnell Nash

Is it ACORN vote fraud if he voted once as a man and once as a woman?

http://spectator.org/archives/2009/10/08/the-nine-voting-lives-of-darne

Of course it's not Bush's fault, nothing is. Every right thinking American knows that every bad thing is the fault of Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barney Frank, and of course, ACORN!

Ronald Reagan blamed Jimmy Carter for the condition of the country in both his elections. If Reagan could get re-elected in 1984 using this strategy when Unemployment was as high as it is now back in 1983, Obama will have no troubles considering his re-election year is over 2 years away.

DonF is at it again.. Bush did what he thought was right-he did not have an agenda to save the world - only the USA. Many things he did were wrong, but many things were right - Obama makes mistakes also - he is human also not a god..lets us give Bush his due and Obama time to work the problems..

I agree it's time to move on. Unfortunately, the mess Bush left behind isn't moving on as well, and the adults have to clean it up. Big boy pants indeed.

Of course they'll deny the scorched Earth left behind by the worst President in history. That doesn't alter the fact that W's crowd has left the country broken beyond repair.
Ever wonder what it's like to live in an empire in decline? Now you know.

Oh Please.......this coming from the party who still blame Carter and Clinton? Give me a break. The GOP would blame Ceasar if it deflected the blame from them. I' ll wear my big boy pants when you wear your big boy panties.

Roland Burris commented last week that it was George W. Bush's fault that Chicago lost in the first round of voting for the Olympics.

I guess it is George W. Bush's fault that Roland Burris was named to the United States Senate by "Blago"!

I always thought it was Burris' massive ego that led to his appointment, but it appears I am wrong.

Of course it's not Bush's fault, nothing is. Every right thinking American knows that every bad thing is the fault of Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barney Frank, and of course, ACORN!

Bill Ayers; Rev. Wright; Justice Sotomayor; Prof. Gates; Michelle's biceps...

Obama has been caught with his hand in cookie jar but the dems still blame bush. Congress doesnot understand what B.O. stands for. BODY ODOR.

Typical Republican, I DO agree with u. However, never capitalize the name of the ignominious jimmy carter. There is just no need to do that.

a blinkin, I DO agree with u, but unlike the Left, I would never attack, or have a bad word to say about Michelle, the kids, or Bo. I got some Bo in me and I still posess some sense of civility, unlike the Left. Have to take Michelle off the list.

Gates, as touchy as he is, will probably become just a year one foot-note. No need to linger on Mr. S-E-N-S-I-T-I-V-E. Justice Sotomayor just got there. No real reason to want to beat up on her. Mustapha won the election and elections have consequences. I have to allow the president to appoint whomever he pleases to the Supreme Court. That is, anyone, within reason. Also, just like democrats got their special people, I got my special people ~ Latinas, of course. We are far apart, but maybe there can occasionally be a little common ground. Well, on a day and a nite when the moon is blue.

Jeb Bush wants people to "move on". Individuals don't move on from losing a loved one in a "war" based on lies. There are over 4000 families impacted by that lie--not to mention tens of thousands of families who will have a loved one physically or mentally incapacitated for the next 50 years or so--from that "war" based on lies. What about the families having to "move on" from the loss of their business or homes due to husbands or fathers having to do third and fourth rotations to hell for the "war" based on lies? How does a nation move on from 9/11 when it was preventable as per the intelligence Bush received before 9/11? How does a nation "move on" when the Bush administration used a law from the 1800s to circumvent national mortgage lending safety rules where millions lost homes? How does a nation "move on" when the greatest shift in national wealth went to the top few percent of citizens after the Bush and Republican led House and Senate voted for huge tax reductions fot that top few percent of income earners? How does a nation "move on" when Bush and his shady sidekick Paulson said the sky will fall if trillions of dollars of TARP funds are not given freely to banks and other nations--trillions of scarce American dollars were taken with no oversight or strings? How does a nation, its resources and wildlife recover when national parks are allowed to be looted? Bush raped this nation. The Bush family made our nation lose billions--even before W--in the S & L other con job loss. Millions of people will continue to live with great loss due to Bush for many decades. There will be no "moving on". Jeb Bush is a cold b@stard for flippantly saying people should just "move on" from the life-altering hits they took as a result of his brother's hubris, his brother's disdain for the average American, his brother's nonchalance toward the troops he so often hid behind, and much more of his brother's basic hatred of anything essentially good for America. Most of our life styles declined under Bush 43. Most of our children will not do better than us as a result of Bush 43. They will have a tougher time. The new normal is all about having less while working harder--if there is work to be had. The new normal--the post-Bush normal--is sh*t. Please media--no more pictures of smiling or laughing Bush faces.

Go, Senator Burris, go !! You have my vote, if you decide to run for Senator from Illinois. You and Senator Durbin are doing a great job representing Illinois in our Senate. Keep up, the good work and don't worry about all the lies the Republican-Libertarians are telling !! That's all they have to offer our country, especially after the Bush&Cheney disaster !!

Jebbie, if the big boy pants fit, wear them.

Vivian @ 5:02 p.m.

If u left a 5 day old peanut butter and jelly sandwich outside your door step, I believe Jeb Bush would have to come by and steal it. It’s all good though, we got it, u don’t need to clarify anything. I feel the same way about jimmy carter, and if Mustapha Mond doesn’t straighten up, he will be remembered in a similar manner, at least by me.

Ya MORON, these people arent elected officails such as Nixon, Ford, Bush 1 & 2, Palin, Craig, etc etc etc. Dumb ass

Jeb, your brother IS responsible for everything. By the way, even Prescott Bush's love affair with the Nazis and his attempted coup against Franklin Roosevelt is your brothers fault.

Scot S. Blakeley, we know that u enjoy calling commenters who have a viewpoint that differs from your own luminous analysis, as a MORON, IDIOT, and the like, but a blinkin is being cynical here, and would normally be on your side. Do u not get that? Think that u owe a blinkin an apology.

George Bush Junior was the worst President in US history. Our nation may not survive his "leadership". Those that wish to absolve him of his failure are a danger to all America and should be called out for it. Bush's brother is clearly a Dammned idiot if he thinks he can somehow explain away his brothers failure. I blame Bush for the war, the economy the security failures and most of the worst our country is now facing.

The one good thing Bush did was get Obama elected.

For the 8 years of DubYa's "presidency" all we heard was "It's Clinton's fault" .. Pay back is a bitch!

I don't blame GW Bush for all the problems. I mostly blame the voters that elected him twice.
Afterall, if you give a chimp a loaded gun and the chimp shoots someone, you don't blame the chimp.

Bush = Mad Magazine Cartoon

Cheney = Darth Vader

Together = 8 years of dark comedy that will take a century to fix.

VIVIAN,

Did YOU lose a loved one in the Iraq
war?

If not; your entitled to your opinion and have a right to speak it. But,
If you have not felt the loss from a loved one in the Iraq war then
best to not speak ON THAT YOU HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE ON and let the people who have experienced the loss speak on that which they have lots of experience in.

BTW- I DID LOSE A MOST CHERISHED LOVED ON IN IRAQ.

VIVIAN,

Its also amusing that you contend that because Iraq was a lie that we will NEVER get over the loss of our loved ones and that its all the fault of Bush?
Are you saying that those that lost loved one is lets say WWII had less of a loss or recovered better or quicker because that war was based on facts or the truth?

You lack of logic and the fact that your using the Iraq war as blame in fact for the crisis that our country is in today is silly in my opinion.
Especially when our current President has us in a war that we can not win without reinforcements and has yet to send any. This is the same war that he has NO exit strategy for; which if I remember correctly was one of his big criticisms during his campaign....
How about the families in Afghanistan who are NOW losing loved ones and at an alarming rate and will continue to do so without either a pull out or reinforcements????????

How about some logic in your postings?

VIVIAN,

And how about when Clinton deregulated the banks?
