Seems to me that Dunn should lose her job for (a) moral turpitude -- only someone who is herself utterly evil could possibly admire Mao (or Che or Castro or Stalin or Lenin or Hitler, &c., &c.) and, worse, (b) stupidity -- this is not the kind of thing one can say in public if one is connected in any way to an American president.

I have watched Fox news for years for the NEWS, not the absurd commentators. Now even the news itself is skewed. What happened to the truth?

Interesting to see the media taking the White House side in its campaign against another news medium. Maybe when the White House decides that its next target is the Tribune or the Washington Post, members of the media will be looking around for support from their departed journalistic comrades. don't know why Faux News still has its license. They routinely give wrong or misleading information and get away with it. When Mark Foley (R-FL) got in trouble in '06 for coming-on to male interns, Fox had a D after his name. You can say it was a mistake, however, later in the evening when the show was replayed, the D after his name was removed, but did they add the R as they were supposed to? No. Just left it blank. Couldn't let you know their guy did something like that. Better to leave you guessing and let you think maybe he's a Democrat - NOT!

When Scooter Libby was convicted, every single channel broke in with the story with a banner at the bottom saying, Scooter Libby Convicted or Guilty. He was charged with five felonies, and convicted on four. What did Fox have on their banner? Unbelievably, their banner was, "Scooter Libby Innocent!" What? That's right, their banner focused on the one charge on which he was not convicted. Really people, the story was the conviction, not the one not-guilty charge! And, the only reason he wasn't convicted on that charge was he stonewalled the federal prosecutor who referred to it as his having, "kicked sand in the face of the prosecutor." He should have been convicted on all five.

These are just two examples, they give wrong information all the time, and if that's the only news you watch, you think it's true. That's the danger, spreading false/propaganda information based on their right-wing, big business old white guy agenda. The only reason so many people watch Fox is it's carried by absolutely every cable service as part of basic cable. That isn't the case with MSNBC, it's not on everyone's basic cable. They're getting viewers by default. Too bad. Wake up, people, check out some other news sources.

Claiming Mao as one of your two favorite political philosophers is as harmless as being some know-nothing college revolutionary chic idiot with a pic of Che on the wall is stretching it.

Good for the White House for calling out FOX "News" for its complete disregard for the truth. It's one thing to have a conservative or liberal slant, but the likes of Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, and Greta Van Susteren just make things up on a daily basis...and people actually believe them! With the exception of a few individuals (i.e., Shepard Smith), FOX has "reporters" that just ignore facts. How can one take that channel seriously? It's a joke! Faux's ratings may be up, but what that means is that all of the right wing crackpots are circling the wagons. For most of these nuts, clusterFOX is their only "news" option, other than the ones who've learned how to use the internets to wallow in the various wingnut hate sites like Drudge, Freeper Republic and Malkin.

The more enlightened of us (not wingnuts) split up our time among the other, more legitimate news outlets.

FAUX's audience may be larger in numbers, but their audience is aging, pasty white and... well, dying off, to be blunt. MSNBC does as well or better in the money demographics.

I watched this segment on Glenn Beck's show yesterday and Anita Dunn is clearly saying that she admires Mao. It is her own words. No editing.

So let's summarize: Van Jones says "I'm a self-described communist revolutionary." Glenn Beck calls attention to that fact. Glenn Beck is ridiculed for calling attention to Van Jones' own statements about himself.

Anita Dunn says (reading between the lines): "One of my greatest inspirations was a murderous communist revolutionary responsible for the deaths of millions of his own fellow citizens, who established one of the most repressive, despotic, human-rights-abusing regimes on the planet." Glenn Beck calls attention to that fact. Glenn Beck is ridiculed for calling attention to Anita Dunn's own statements about herself.

Maybe I'm naive, but somehow I'm not so sure Glenn Beck is the problem here. Maybe, just maybe, these self-avowed communists in the Obama administration are the problem. No need for a witch-hunt here. These folks are coming out of the closet on their own.

The Obama White House should give it a rest on their attacks on Fox News. All they are doing is increasing the ratings of such people as Glenn Beck. I have watched a Fox news for years but i don't know that why the quality of news is become a worst day by day. I don't know what happened to this channel industry?
