We already know about mortgage foreclosures, the recession and the wars. But that big game at the White House this afternoon is on everyone's minds.
At the start of a media conference call this morning about the Obama administration's foreclosure prevention efforts, a couple of Cabinet members were checking their sneakers.
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner asked Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan if he had been practicing for tonight's basketball game at the White House -- where the hoops-loving president will play host to several Cabinet members and members of Congress.
"I should have been,'' Donovan said, "but I haven't.''

Playing basketball while President? Doesn['t he care aboiut the American people? If he did, he would spend his time cutting brush on his ranch like a real President!

This is pretty much the reason why Arne the Clown got his position. To play hoops with the boys while the country is falling apart.
It wasn't based on any merit.
Change you can believe in!

Joe.....That's what I like ....facts. Arne graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a bachelors degree in sociology in 1987. But of course...no where the qualifications of your idol Glenn Beck. After all he just barely graduated high school.

Meanwhile, in news the Swamp usually reports, the latest Pew Poll results on ObamaCare show widespread opposition:
"As of right now, do you generally favor or generally oppose the health care proposals being discussed in Congress?
34% Favor, 47% Oppose"
And this even though Pew interviewed 11% more Democrats than Republicans!
I guess, for the Swamp, all this breaking basketball news pushes other news aside.....

Typical Democrat blather - Bush Bush Bush while Washington falls apart, wars continue, the economy has tanked, nations are turning their backs on us, our Dollar is shrinking, but then you have to be an ex-president to take any blame for these things, right?
I blame this typical Democrats mother for being so dumb to birth this one. Maybe the grandparents need a little reminding of their mistakes that brought forth this messenger? I'm sure the neighbor's can share some blame as well for this poor upbringing.
It's always someone elses fault, blame it on the last guy, no ownership here, heck I didn't do it, I'm just trying to get by to the next election.

We've seen what a great education can produce there little bill. Heck you could be the ONLY person ever to be given the position of Editor at the Harvard Law review and NEVER write a thing? Give us the tutorial on Mr. Duncan's successes at the Chicago Public School system. That is an impressive yet total failure but then you gradiated from the CPS right?

bill r...That's what I like...avoiding the facts that hurt your cause. This guy took over the worst school system in America. When he left it was even worse AND more dangerous than ever. No. You're right. He earned it.
And yes, you are so right. Anybody who dissaprroves of incompetent cronies or tax cheats getting handed cush positions just HAS to have Glenn Beck as an idol. Because calling the incompetent and tax cheats what they are is so extreme.
Keep drinking the kool-aid and shooting up the hopium.

That would be a hard issue to discuss with you. It is a multi faceted discussion that would involve more than bumper sticker retort. You have a knee jerk reaction to problems when in fact, depth and reason are needed. Something you continually lack, evident by your "little" retort to whomever may not agree with your dribble. You see failing schools and your small brain can only reach deep enough to blame teachers. While I could go on at length about the folly of "no child left behind", you will argue till the cow's come home because this program has such a great sounding name. Your a skin deep person who can't get to the bone of an issue. While the name "sounds great" first, it was never funded correctly. Insuring no results from the start. But I know...it has a great name......but it also has served to dumb down the children. The gifted, don't have the teachers time because they spend it on the ungifted. They are taught to take test...not think. Are you still awake springfield? I know this is hard to sit through with your chain dog mentality.......hang in there. Our education problems are not a money problem, it is a lack of commitment from parents. I can tell you when I went to school...I didn't care what the teachers thought if I did poorly on a test...but I sure as hell worried about going home. That just doesn't happen nowadays. Then there is another aspect to the problem in Chicago....still awake?......it is an economic problem. I could go into that, but I know your attention span is much shorter than your fangs. So by all means go back to regurgitating your vitriol and rabid thoughts but at least wear a bib.

I wasn't surprised by the Nobel Committee's choice of this years Laureate.
After all, he was Hyde Park's choice for state senator.

Keep deflecting Billy, keep deflecting...the issue is Arne Duncan's term as head of CPS, not NCLB...Also, if money or funding is the issue, how can Chicago with its astronomical tax rate, not be successful?
Keep drinking the koolaid and defending failure.

Now this is really impressive little billy. You actually took the time to cut and paste a very long response.

In any case, you failed the simple test of providing Mr. Duncan's accomplishments at the Chicago Public School system. You must then be a gradiate of that very system little guy. Name calling Chicago thugs prevail no matter who fills your head with cut and paste comments.
