The Swamp

The Obama factor.

That will be one question on everyone's minds when the votes are counted Nov. 3 in Virginia and New Jersey, where Democrats are battling Republicans for governor's offices in the two big off-season test elections of the year.

The president is campaigning in New Jersey today for Gov. Jon Corzine, and plans to campaign Tuesday in Virginia for Creigh Deeds, the Democratic candidate there.

And Deeds, trailing Republican former state Att'y Gen. Bob McDonnell in opinion polls, apparently has made the calculation that Obama, the first Demorat to carry the state in a presidential election since former President Lyndon Johnson did in the 1960s, still carries some juice in the Commonwealth.

The Deeds campaign has released a TV ad calling on Virginians to get "fired up'' again and vote Democratic. It's part of a get-out-the-vote effort by a Democrat fighting to hold his party's hold on the governor's office during the past two turns -- outgoing Gov. Tim Kaine has taken over as chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Deeds also has featured a popular former Gov. Mark Warner in his TV advertising.

"Last year, Virginia, you helped lead a movement of Americans who believed that their voices could make a difference," Obama says in the ad that Deeds is airing. "I need every one of you to get fired up once again so that we can go towards the future, with Creigh Deeds leading the great Commonwealth of Virginia."

See the ad above, and the script below:

"We are Americans,'' Obama says in the TV ad that the Deeds campaign is airing.

"We are a forward-looking people.

Last year, Virginia, you helped lead a movement of Americans who believed that their voices could make a difference.

That's what we need to do in this race.

That's what Creigh Deeds is committed to.

I need every one of you to get fired up once again so that we can go towards the future, with Creigh Deeds leading the great Commonwealth of Virginia.''

With the Obama approval ratings tanking daily, this could be the wrong tact to take but then, the sheeple effect has taken hold on too many already.

Besides, didn't then candidate Obama claim the "hicks" clinging to their religion and guns were'nt a part of the program? Or was that West Virginia?

In any case, they aren't talking San Francisco and the democrat party is starting to chew each other up.

These people think Ocommie is an asset ?!? Okay, whatever.

Ummm....No! I believe you are the one who just used the word "hicks".

The Swamp, for the zillionth time, runs a free ad for a Democrat. And no, I'm not holding my breath waiting for the Swamp to run any ads by the Republican.

TO BE A “REAL NEWS ORGANIZATION,” YOU HAVE TO CRAWL INTO BED WITH THE WHITE HOUSE.

You know the guy is desperate if all he has left in the cabinet is a spolied can of Obama to serve Virginians. By all meand, cook it up, Deeds. Please.
