It's not often that we get to post a photograph of Yogi Berra here in the Swamp, but the baseball legend brought a couple of noteworthy guests with him to the field of the 2009 World Series opener with the Phillies and Yankees -- first win, Philadelphia.
"A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore,'' Berra has said.
That and: "Baseball is ninety percent mental. The other half is physical."
And, as he has asked: "If people don't want to come out to the ballpark, how are you going to stop them?"
All without a TelePrompTer.

Maybe the Republican-Libertarians should see if Yogi Berra could be their spokesman !! He would make a whole more sense than the Republican-Libertarians are making these days, with all of their lying and fear-mongering !!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

To Don Fitzgerald: For once you are partially right even though you still do not know the difference between a Republican and a Libertarian. It is unfortunate that Yogi Berra does not live in Illinois. Yogi would be a marked improvement over the current group of corrupt and incompetent Chicago Democrats that are running the State into the ground toward bankruptcy. I bet Yogi would not get himself impeached and convicted on the charges.

When told by a queen visiting New York on a particularly humid day that he appeared "quite cool," Yogi innocently responded "Thanks; you don't look so hot yourself."
The above yogi-ism made me smile; he sounds like a sweetheart, with all that fame and yet he is simple, down to earth human being.

And they give you cash, which is just as good as money (unless its the devalued dollar).
