The more miserable that existence can become,the better for your cause.

The party of owe strikes again:

- knee jerk reaction based on refuted, controversial, political, unproven science

- Never let a crisis go to waste

- kill jobs and increase reliance upon the government

- no evidence that the proposed legislation will have any bearing on purported man made global climate change, formerly known as global warming. (one study shows Waxman Markey impacting global temps by 9/100 of 1 degree F by 2050.)

-full support of Swamp lemmings, granola eaters, celebrities, the Nobel Academy, and Algore

- Exempting China and India, further ensuring no environmental impact and vast wealth redistribution

- Naively believing that fossil fuels can be instantly replaced with the ample gifts from mother Gia's bosoms: wind, sun, geothermal, wave action, bovine flatulence, and acacia berries.

- Exempting Algore's mansion.

Meanwhile, in Tuesday's election the VOTERS gave the Dems two more GAINED votes from CA-10 & NY-23 towards passing health reform.

Amazing stuff isn't it? A massive piece of legislation that the majority of Congress hasn't even read yet and they plan on having a "Vote" on a Saturday - this Saturday when......

Language on abortion and illegal immigrants was still being negotiated, Hoyer said of the bill, estimated to cost more than $1 trilion over 10 years. it still has to be reconciled with a Senate version, with no clear timeline for a Senate vote apparent yet.

Still negotiating some of the language but hey, run it up for a vote before people read it, if they're interested that is. In the meantime, keep the lights down low, the white-out handy and look up some more words that can have at least four or five meanings to confuse the heck out of everyone who tries to get an understanding of the thing.

China and India can afford to produce more CO2 and therefore feed and grow more vegetation and trees for their ever increasing population, our telephone companies and their liabilities cut trees down like match sticks and we supplement our farmers not to grow vegetation for our ever increasing waist line in front of the TV.

If Republicans wonder why most Americans view them as part of the fringe extreme, they need not look beyond this event. While Democrats were touting the endorsement of AARP, Michele Bachmann and the House leadership were rallying amidst signs like this, shoulder to shoulder with 2,000 teabaggers.

How dare these fracking teabagger types misuse these horrifying photos from a genuine mass genocide more than 60 years ago to misrepresent a healthcare system that is more conservative than that currently being used in 36 other industrialized democracies around the world. I cannot see the parallel between the two.

What do freedom-loving Americans have to do with any of Michelle Bachmann's plans?

Bachmann is a Christian-Taliban type; "freedom" is nothing she or her followers want anything to do with. You show them freedom and they start flipping through their Bibles to find some passage in Deuteronomy that can tell you why TheAlmightyGawd screams "no no no" when you do that. What freaking freedom has a hardcore evangelical ever actually promoted? They're always wanting to shut things down, not give you more options.

In the words of Bill Hicks, "You are free to do what we tell you."

Bachmann's "freedom" is just talk with nothing to back it up. She and her kind live in terror of real freedom, because they cannot survive in a free environment. That's why they have to fight to keep evolution from being taught, doctor history texts to keep facts out, even re-write their own Bible. Their fear of freedom is why they can't let women decide what to do about their own pregnancies, or let gay people decide to get married or not.

Gary, name calling is all they can do. It takes no intelligence, they are easy to train and keep fired up.

The Teabaggers, with generous support from the right-wing astroturf machine ("Hi, Fox News!" "Hi, FreedomWorks!"), are using "tea parties" as a catch-all to vent their frustrations. On the surface it's about taxes (even though President Obama has cut taxes on the middle class) and spending (even though government spending is the only thing that will lessen the severity of the recession and prevent it from becoming a depression). But bubbling under the surface is the old social-wedge issue chestnuts, God, Guns and Gays. In other words, the usual boring old nonsense dripping from the mouths and cardboard signs of a severely misinformed Repulican segment of our population, aided by a right-wing media machine that has trained them to tune in every night and suck their nuts. I believe there's a term for that specific act but I'm too pure of thought to know what it is.

It all boils down to this, my friends, as articulated so beautifully by Anti-Christ abettor Jon Stewart: "Republicans, I think you are confusing tyranny with losing."

I think it is appropriate to call Republican congresspeople and ask why these Republicans endorse this kind of stupidity. Not heated, just fact-finding.

So JoAnne we need 2000 pages to say that insurers cannot drop you? I don't think so. We could have had that months ago. We could have had cheaper coverage months ago by allowing competition across state lines. This bill doesn't allow that and it won't make insurance cheaper or better, and it sure won't improve the quality of healthcare.

You are going to wait twice as long to be seen. How many people will die during that extra waiting time? I guess that's OK with you.

And, since you can't be denied coverage, what's the point of paying monthly? Just wait until you need it and sign up. That should really lower costs!

No smartass, because IF you put 20 million illegal aliens into the system along with the maybe 10 million legal citizens and they now have "free" healthcare, they will overburden the system making longer waits for everyone. That doesn't include the plans to ration healthcare and review boards to see if you really need that test. Or maybe you think we just pull doctors out of the magic pipe of "medical pot" that you just flamed up.

Long waits are one of the problems of "free" government run healthcare systems. So, I guess the Canadians will have to go to Mexico or India for their procedures. You remember Mexico, it's where you got your lobotomy giving you a democrat for life brain.

Second, why is it an all or nothing proposition? How about ala carte?

Considering I have paid my fair share of taxes over the years for these gov't services, I think I can use them.

As for ala carte:

Library Card - keep it, give me a tax rebate for this.

Water and Sewer - pay for that quarterly. Part of infrastructure, a true function of gov't. Many people do live w/o the gov't providing these services. Ever have a well and septic tank?

Fire Dept and Cops - Defense - another gov't function.

Tollways? Those are paid for by the people that use them - thus the name genius.

Social Security and Medicare - refund my $$$ NOW. I could do better than this gov't run Ponzi scheme.

Eliminate the department of education, energy, HUD, Interior, and Transportation - no reason federal gov't s/b involved in these items.

Last week we passed along the news that the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority is considering cutting more than 6,000 surgeries to make up for a $200 million budget shortfall. British Columbia Medical Association president Dr. Brian Brodie called the proposed surgical cuts “a nightmare.”

The current government Plan, Medicare denies claims up to twice as often as private plans. But you ignorant liberals all Goosestep to the same drum beat. Bad mean corporations, Bad mean insurance companies. When in reality the government is twice as BAD AND MEAN.

Who in their right mind would want the same type of government workers that run the DMV running their healthcare except liberals? Well, when you get a chance to get a "free" checkup have them check for brain activity.

Django has great respect for Israel. I don’t hate Palestinians. Palestinians are truly wonderful too, but Palestine is not presently a nation. Israel is. My prayer would be that Palestine, whenever it does materialize as a nation, will have some Israel qualities to it. Whew! Finally, and most of all, I still believe in the potential greatness of America. I don’t follow all of the apologies and down-plays that democrats (but not u) always seem to want to attach to that. Republicans disappoint me often, but I still have to be one because I believe that to be my / our only apparent hope (until the Savior arrives, that the Bible and Springsteen have mentioned a time or two). Finally, again, Jim Morrison says “No One Gets Out Alive”, and I believe that also, but voting Republican is my only, current, “hope”. Django loves a funny story, a good joke. Make the joke on me, it’s all good. Meshes very well with my self-deprecating sense of humor. However, I really don’t see any humor in acknowledging that I am a Conservative, first, or a Wingnut, if you prefer, and as the only choice that I have, also a Republican. I believe in the potential greatness of America. I have to vote Republican. Sometimes it is simply a matter of self-survival. If there is a joke here. I’m not getting it and I DO like a good joke.

Instead you fall back on the cause of the recession being the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan - just like a typical flatliner. Once again, the spending on these wars and teh deficits in general had NOTHING to do with our current recession. The recession was caused by the collapse of the hosuing market. Anyway, I always thought you flatliners thought the gov't started wars to boost the economy.

Once again, go to your local JC and take an econ class.

The Bill of Rights is to prevent tyranny FROM the GOV'T. The Bill of Rights was not designed to protect the Gov't from its citizens. The Bill of Rights does not guarentee that the little guy is protected from the big guy.
