With just 24 online shopping days left before Christmas, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele has opened "the GOP Store,'' an online mart offering "all things Republican.''
There's a white elephant for sale, "Peppermint,'' with a candy cane-striped cap, a GOP T-shirt and a Navy ladies' GOP "hoodie'' - aren't they supposed to be red?
Contributions will help the party "recruit and elect conservative candidates in 2010 committed to our party's core principles of limited government, lower taxes, a strong national defense and individual freedom,'' Steele explains in an email - and that will mean moving a lot of stuffed elephants at $35 a copy.
The party store's bumper-sticker gallery runneth over with tailgate wisdom such as the statement pictured above and this one: "It's not right or left, it's right or wrong... ''
And buttons, for that certain lapel statement: "Annoy a liberal: Work hard, be happy.''
Or this apocalyptic button: "Visualize no liberals.''
That's the holiday spirit.

Comments
They need to ask what year it is?
Fitting for the party whose base has never read anything more than a bumper sticker anyway.

Every day a new lie, a misdirected apology and an idiotic policy, the material practically writes itself. It is refreshing that so many independents are starting to see the light.
Finally something to be thankful for this holiday season.

The GOP doesn't really need to work all that hard for 2012 or 2010, IMO. The DNC and their hardcore liberal base have been shooting themselves in the foot since Jan 21 2009 and Ind. and some Dems are walking away from the left in large numbers, because of their over reaching tactics.

I'm sure sales will be brisk.
The GOP is pretty good at selling stink bomb crap wrapped in magic pixie dust and flying unicorns to the Wingnut cave dwellers.

Private Marky,
Keep dreaming Wingnut drone, you sound like you're as drunk on the stupid juice as Little Johnny D is.
"And the number of Americans calling themselves Republicans has fallen to 20 percent -- 20, the lowest since 1983. A closer look shows that number has fallen from 25 percent just since mid-August. That's not a five percent loss for Republicans. Dropping from 25 percent to 20 percent is a loss of a fifth. Meaning since the height of town hall, Palin, Beck, death panel palooza, one out of five Republicans has stopped being Republican."

I love it when drooling John D shows up on here, says absolutely nothing even remotely related to the current topic thread and then throws the kind of temper tantrum that a petulant 5 year old would be proud of.
Pretty much says it all about todays average Republican..

Wow GEN Ripper what a mature retort........
But getting back to being civil, and posting like a grown up.... In case you missed it. 40% of Americans consider themselves conservative, conservative are the base of the GOP.
So your Moveon/DailyKoz/Huffington Post rebuttal doesn't hold water. I know plenty of Dems who have flat out expressed to me they will not be voting on the Democrat ticket until the DNC comes back to being center left.
I know it's tough to swallow, but you'll get use to it.

A one way ticket to the dark side of the moon for all right wingers.
They won't be bothered with liberals there.
Of course, there are some extremes of temperature to be dealt with.....
They can sit in a circle and keep repeating to themselves:
Ronnie Reagan took an axe
Gave Newt Gingrigh forty whacks.
When he saw what he had done,
Gave Dick Armey forty-one....
Watch reruns of this year's Bears games....
Buy one of those countdown clocks we used to have for W's term....
Maybe Barack will send up a mission to pick you up in about, say, 2016......

There is no repug ready for 2012. Alan Grayson for Dem ticket and President in 2012. Grayson would be the real change--no BS. The Obama 'change' was a lie. Obama is Bush squared. Not signing the land mines agreement? Escalations in order to wind down in Afghanistan? Keeping basically all the Bush Pentagon? Keeping basically all those responsible for TARP and the Bush Great Recession? Allowing the ranchers to push off "protected" wild horses in the West, Ms. Don't-know-much-about-history Dana Perino? Obama, Bush 1 and Jimmy Carter........ I hope Obama has a plan B in life for 2012. The reality did not meet the promise. And, too much added debt for all his self-important BS that added no value to our lives and did nothing to keep us safe, nor kept money in our pockets safe from the insurance industry thugs.

" Visualize no liberals. " sayeth Uncle Adolph !!
Now, that is a great example of the American spirit, isn't it, America? Here, I thought we had the right of free speech, but I guess only if you are a right-wing zealot, bent on stifling debate and discourse in America !! I'm sure one of their big sellers this year will be that good, old, reliable " Uncle Sam's suit ". With that suit, they can spew fascistic sentiments and still claim to be an American !! It's called, " the American Wrap". All you have to do, is come out, draped in the American flag and tell lies, distort and mislead, all in the name of democracy. You will get away with it, look at the Bush&Cheney, they were masters at the 'American Wrap "!!
Time out, all of you, Republican-Libertarians, give your lying machine a break, go soak your heads in some intelligence waters. You may learn something about failed strategies and why they will not work, the tenth time around !! Try being honest with the electorate, instead of forcing gimmicks and empty slogans down America's throat !!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

Let's go point by point:
1. Torture is not American, it's Republican. Well, we've been down this road before, but torture has even occurred under Demoncrap administrations such as FDR. And whethe the waterboarding or loud music KSM had to endure is torture or not, I really don't care when I see the images of airplanes flying into the WTC or people choosing to plunge to their deaths that day than be scorched to death.
2. Borrow+ Spend = GOP. Hmmmm, how is that $1 TRILLION+ annual deficit Obimbo, Peloony and Harry "Illegal Land Deals" Reid doing for you?
3. Vote Republican, Democracy is for losers. Hmmm, seems the anti-Democratic forces are on the Democratic side of things. The friendships with regimes in Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Russia, China, and then the illegal activities from groups such as ACORN and the SEIU seems to indicate that it's the Demoncraps who don't like democracy.
4. Vote Republican, we don't need no Consitution. Hmmm, seems your guy, Barack Obama, has continued many of the same Bush-era policies for terrorist-monitoring are continuing. Plus, how are all those three dozen-plus czars doing with the Constitution?
5. Republicans trashing the planet. Yeah, got us there. I've never seen a liberal or Democrat throw trash onto streets, walking paths, etc. I guess it was my imagaination when a Kerry/Edwards dolt threw trash out of her window in Des Plaines a few years ago? By the way, it was her bumpersticker that gave her away.
6. No corporations left behind. Well, it seems it is the Demoncraps who are using taxpayer money to bail out companies Anyway, one of the things I love about the loony left is their hatred for businesses, you know the entities that actually employ people and give them money.
7. GOP shampoo: cheat, lie, repeat. Hmmm, shall I introduce you to Blago, Alexi, Durbin, Daley, Stroger, William Jefferson, Geithner, Sebelius, Gary Condit, Dan Walker, Bill and Hillary, Charles Rangel, John Dingell, Todd Stroger, Mike Madigan, Eliot Spitzer, Robert Toricelli, etc., etc.?
8. War is Peace, Slavery is freedom, Ignorance is strength. Well peace does come from military might. As far as slavery and ignorance, well those are hallmarks of the Left.
9. Republican is a hate word. Ohhhh, that is so funny. There are men in white coats looking for you.
10. Vote Republican, for a more fearful America. Yeah, OK. Seems most of the fearmongering comes from the Left. The evil corproations. Republican is a hate word. Insurance bad. Banking bad. Energy companies bad. Car companies bad. Food companies bad.
11. Republicans are mean, greedy people. Shall I introduce you to Hollywood? Geithner? Rangel? Blago? All the graft and corruption and handouts to friends and family in Chicago and Cook County?
12. I think, therefore I don't listen to Limbaugh. Yeah, but you do get your information from Air UnAmerica, DailyKook, Moveon.org, etc.
13. Hatred is not a family value. You are right, there. I guess that means you should give up your loony left thinking. And shall I introduce you to your post I am referring to????

Michael Steele is doing an excellent job of bringing blacks into the Republican party. It's got to be very difficult to overcome the stereotype of the GOP being a party of white supremacists and rednecks. His bumper stickers go a long way toward erasing this horrible image.
Posted by: Wayne Worldo | December 1, 2009 11:40 AM
You folks are really nasty people. The name calling, daily rants about those evil republicans, more name calling and then more of the same old rants.
Besides the comparisons to people long gone and the nasty name calling, when are any of you Obama sheeple going to give us something of substance in defending his failures?
Posted by: springfield | December 1, 2009 12:09 PM
John D. Trying to speak logically to a liberal is like trying to teach algebra to a garden slug. Ain't gonna happen, but I cant blame you for trying. I think its best to look right past them and their stupidity, because it only makes sense to 20% of Americans. We got to push them aside and do what we got to do, they don't matter.

But then he drinks his Kool-Aid, turns on Rush, and the real John D. Jeckyll invades The Swamp, he of "burn, baby, burn", and global warming is a "hoax", and loony this and loony that.

the rest mostly Ind.
So next time look at the numbers that count and stop the lies. And when asked I always say I'm for the other party just for the hell of it. Just like exit polls I have done the same.
