Big Bird is throwing a birthday party.
And he is inviting some very special guests.
We don't mean Oscar the Grouch.
We mean Michelle Obama, the first lady, who plans to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of the children's television program on Tuesday with an appearance on the set.
Advance word from the show is that Big Bird observes that both he and the first lady are quite tall.
This, as People magazine notes, is the first lady whose nutritional advice is decidedly at odds with Cookie Monster -- she encourages viewers to plant and water their gardens and partake of the tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and lettuce. I.E., salad.
Obama will not be the only well-known human guest at the party. Actress Cameron Diaz will introduce the word of the day: "Habitat.''

Does it suprise you that Michelle has time to appear on a show that calls the White House's major nemisis - Pox News?
I know this is a sad day for the Bo administration and its kool-aid drinking followers, as it is the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Terri,
I have to laugh everytime I see your posts, they are silly and idiotic. Must be the dry tea bags you sniff. But be certain to fly your American flag on Wednesday, its Veteran's Day.

Have you ever seen anything as anti-American as Big Bird? Totally a Socialist.

Terry takes stupid to a new level. He forgot to add that Sesame Street is seen on PBS, so it must be a commie plot to indoctrinate our kids.

Little Scottie,
Laura Bush appeared on Sesame Street in 2002. long before "Pox News". Once again, you lose.
Doogie,
Glad to brighten your day and that you are able to find you laughs at another venue than PMSNBC.

Absolutely. Can you imagine anything worse than a photo op with these Socialistic puppets? The First Lady should stay at home in the kitchen where she belongs.

I find it laughable the criticisms that the Obama's get from the Right Wing Hate mongers. The Obama's throw State Dinners w/ catering and elegant meals served on silver platters and they are called insensitive to all those who lost their jobs and struggle in this economy. Yet if they were to have state dinners served on paper plates w/ generic soft drinks and bottom shelf liquor the Right would howl that the Obama's are turning State Dinners into ghetto meals where the President can "get his grub on!" Ridiculous.

Well there you go again, lying through your teeth as usual. Hate to burst your empy head bubble but Fox News was created in 1996 Moron! Do your homework before you shoot off that hole in your head!

So Oscar the grouch has a political agenda? What exactly is it? He made a similar comment about CNN once, so is he anti left and right at the same time? I'm sure the average viewer was greatly affected by these comments too.

Ha! Michelle Obama is the coolest mom ever.

Scottie,
Sesame Street didn't call Fox News, Pox News until 2007. Get you facts straight MORON.

Oh I get it, because it wasnt called Pox News it didnt exist? You crack me up with your convoluted BS. Next time try to be more specific in your posts rather than being vague. Excuse me for be presumptuous in not knowing that when you said ''POX'' News didnt exsist'' that you literally meant ''POX'' not ''FOX''. But again thats your ammo, convoluted posts that can be saved to your liking with various sinuosities.

Happy 40th birthday Sesame Street!!!

Scottie,
You don't get it because you can't follow a time line.
Fox News starts - 1996 - irrelavant fact to this story.
Laura Bush appears on SS - 2002.
SS calls FN, Pox News - 2007
Can you follow? You said you have math skills - try and use them MORON.

You're just arguing over something thats really stupid ok. Listen we agreed on the other post lets not ruin it now!
Whatever, What do you want me to do get down on my knees and apologize to you because I misunderstood your post regarding what year the word ''POX'' instead of ''FOX'' was used on SS??? Who the F cares! The point is whats your point?? LOL
So what Mrs. Obama went on the show. As if she cares about such trivial BS regarding POX as FOX ok. Get it now? You brought it up and nobody cares, its immaterial to the subject of this post.

Scottie,
Trust me, I don't want to see you on your knees. Keep that in Canada.
SS is just another gov't funded liberal program that just pokes fun at conservatives. Another good use of gov;t money.
Posted by: Terry | November 9, 2009 9:43 PM
The question is Terry......when did Fox News actually report news?
Posted by: bill r. | November 9, 2009 10:12 PM
Meanwhile, the Bush administration used the theme song from Sesame St to interrogate...

Billy,
Started in 1996 thru the present day.
Berlin Wall,
The gov't paid for the Sesame Street song, might as well use it.

So GHW Bush, John McCain, Dick Cheney, Gerald Ford, John Ashcroft, Justices Scalia, Thomas, and Alito, to name a few all appeared on SS. Are they traitors or closeted Liberals? Or are you now going to say that SS isnt a gov't paid liberal funded program when they appear only when Democrats and Liberals appear?
Your argument is so lame and stupid and reeks of desperation.
Posted by: Scot S. Blakeley | November 12, 2009 8:22 AM
Scottie,
Since you were probably watching th episodes, did the loons that run SS take pot shots at them.
Maybe Cheney accidentally shot Ernie while he was out hunting Big Bird?
