by Mark Silva
President Barack Obama says he "probably won't'' be reading Sarah Palin's Going Rogue, so radio's Mark Levin asked Palin: Has she considered sending him the TelePrompTer edition?
"You know what,'' Palin replied, laughing, "when I heard that, though, I thought, good, at a moment like this in history, I'd rather that he be spending his time reading the next fiscal year federal budget. He better really dig into that, and start reining it in.''
Does she think, the host asked Palin on The Mark Levin Show -- one of the few media interviews that Palin was conducting at the start of her book tour -- if she had gone to an Ivy League school, rather than starting in Idaho and Alaska, and hung out in New York or San Francisco, she might be the "darling of the left.''
"I tell my dad that, "I say, Dad, if you would have just given me a backpack and a passport when I was 18 years old after graduating from high school and let me travel Europe...' she said. "You know what the rest of us did, we worked our butts off to get through school.''
As much as the Left tries to dismiss her, Levin suggested, they hang on her every word.
"I do wonder why they do... 'Dismiss it, man, move on,''' Palin said. "What color toenail polish is she wearing today?...That stuff cracks me up.''
How about that Newsweek cover photo of her in tights from her Runner's World shoot?
"Maybe that's what our society needs, is more of that revelation of that mainstream media and what their agenda is, let it be revealed,'' Palin told Levin, "and I have to be the person used as a tool, fine, let them do it.''
If she had to describe her philosophy, her "common-sense conservatism,'' what is that?
"I believe that history teaches us lessons, and we're idiots if we don't learn from history,'' Palin said, suggesting there is a lot to be learned from Ronald Reagan's handling of the economy and national security matters. "A common-sense conservative looks at history, finds out how did we screw up in history, how did we implement solutions and we go from there.''

I can hear the same ol' tired rhetoric on any conservative form of media. It doesn't take much to parrott platitudes. Why won't she give us something concrete instead of the generalizations. Why? I would believe my best guess would be...she just doesn't have one. I hear the same ol' Socialism, and lower taxes...hell that's the easy part...tell us how "you" would do it. It's called a plan right. She makes a lot a noise but nothing "clear" comes out.

The biggest difference between Bush and Palin.. is that Bush knew he was stupid (plus, he was incredibly lazy and preferred not to have to think about things at all) so he only said what his handlers told him to say.
Palin actually thinks she;'s smarter than any handlers. Maybe someone will be able to convince her to say only what she has been told to say, ala Bush, but she has shown no signs of that to date.

It seems that Palin is correct and a Rasmussen poll shows most Americans have common sense too as 62 percent say cutting taxes will boost employment and 51 percent saying to not spend the rest of the stimulus money. So, nearly 2/3rds of Americans understand that tax cuts lead to a better economy. Which is COMMON SENSE!
Which means the moron loons on the left don't understand that. Somehow, they think increasing taxes leads to jobs growth. Yet, when asked how so, they don't answer.
Common Sense = conservatism
Stupidity, lunacy, ridiculousness = liberalism.

Republicans don't want women who analyze things! Leave the analyzing to the damn intellectuals, like Rush! Palin doesn't think! She blurts! She reacts! She rapidly expels those synapses from her brain, and maybe they make sense, maybe they don't. But it doesn't matter. And you know why? Because conservatives understand her. They understand her and her substantive policies. And if the rest of us don't? Well, I guess we're just not "rogue" enough.

Palin's inability to understand basic policy matters is a clear indication of her lack of actual education (regardless of whatever degree she might have). In short, she's an idiot and should be competing with Carrie Prejean for a spot on "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader"...neither stands a chance, of course. Palin makes women look like imbeciles.

Republicans love Palin because she represents them perfectly:
- She dropped out of four colleges, graduating from the fifth one in six years.
- She completely failed to answer basic questions in interviews with Katie Couric like, "Which newspapers or news sources do you read?"
- When she was Mayor of Wasilla, she was not exactly the "fiscal conservative" she claimed to be, leaving the city $20 million in debt.
- She argued that because Alaska shared a "narrow maritime border with Russia," that she was a foreign policy expert.
- She lied about how she opposed pork spending for the Bridge to Nowhere, even though she more than happily took the money and then became magically opposed to it only when it became a national joke.
- While she was Governor of Alaska, she was under investigation for some serious ethical violations after she fired the state police chief when he refused to dismiss her brother-in-law. She was later found to have "unlawfully abused her authority."
- She quit her job as Governor so she blog on FaceBook and go chase millions on a book tour for a book that was ghostwritten by someone else.
- She has been spreading lie after lie after lie about how Obama wants to reform the health care system by creating "death panels" for senior citizens.
- She has argued that creationism should be taught in public schools.
- She has argued that global warming is not really man-made, when all of the scientific evidence says otherwise.
- She does nothing in her interviews except parrot right-wing talking points over and over and over again, as though the majority of Americans who didn't vote for her in the last election have forgotten just how discredited Republican policies are.

Palin The Quitter"I believe that history teaches us lessons, and we're idiots if we don't learn from history,'' Palin said, suggesting there is a lot to be learned from Ronald Reagan's handling of the economy...(end snip)
There certainly is something to be learned and we're *learning* it right now: trickle down economics doesn't work.
Take a good look at the unemployment and crashing commercial real estate market for proof. The middle class spends and buys and that is what fuels our consumer-driven economy, not the wealthy who save and invest.
If you have any doubts, check out any walmart parking lot on a weekend.

This is what's become of the Republican party. "Saint" Ronny Reagan brought the far right lunatic fringe in, but he only paid lip service to their social agenda for the most part. In the years since however they have become entrenched in the party, and they are setting their agenda.
The results are nutbags like Palin, Huckabee, and the Republican party's very own Joseph Goebbels - Crazy Glenn Beck.
Dazzle the public with a sea of waving American flags, and grand speeches exalting the value of the "American way of life" all the while masking their true extremist right wing agenda.

Palin did not know what the Bush doctrine was. She could not name a newspaper that she read regularly and would not admit that she does not read one. She could not name a Supreme court case other than Roe v Wade that represented the court overstepping their authority to create policy. It would keep me from hiring her to work in my office, and she was running for the number two spot in the nation. As a woman, I totally repudiate a ditz like her as any sort of example for other women.

I am assuming that you can count and actual 10,000 degrees of the sun is MUCH less than the MILLIONS of degrees that Al Gore, the Global Warming expert, believes that the core of the earth is.
Al Gore, to think this complete moron could have been president. And, to think that someone even dumber, Obama got elected. I wonder if Obama even knows about the sun? Doubt it.

Rather than make up stuff, bill r., please answer my question: Tell us how raising taxes on the wealthy, on small businesses and on corporations will lead to a better economy and jobs.
Also, Bill r., Bush's tax cuts are set to expire in the next year or two. Under Bush, ALL Americans recieved tax cuts as ALL tax brackets were lowered, including those for the lowest wage earners who under Bush no longer pay a federal income tax. So, if those tax cuts are allowed to expire, then ALL of us will be paying more. Of course, the Dems plans for health care overhaul will lead to higher taxes for all as will the cap and trade.

Bailin on Palin
Rina Alabaster
String her up! Sign my book! If one central political figure can inspire rage and awe in the most polarizing way, it is Sarah Palin. My question is, are republicans starting to bail on the former governor?
With the debut of her new book, "Going Rogue" this electric character is once again center stage. Fighting wolves, big oil, tabloids, Levi and lawsuits are child's play compared to the incessant debasement of her character, beliefs, words, clothes, hairstyle, parenting and choices.
Will the conservatives get enough distance from the chopping block to escape Palin's shrapnel? While conservative media outlets have embraced the self-proclaimed maverick, politicians seem to keep a reserved distance. Much like extended family, they will have dinner with her, but don't want her around long term. McCain began to detach himself from Gov. Palin toward the end of the campaign- it was visible in his speech and demeanor.
So will Palin the Pirate once again try to steal the hearts, and votes, of Americans, or will she be subtly nudged off the plank by her Republican counterparts?

I know that Prsident GW got into Yale because of his dad's influence, but at least he had a higher grade point average than John Kerry. (not saying that much of course) The last great president we had in my opinion was from a small midwestern town and went to Eureka College... Maybe 3000 students. Sarah Palin in the Crosshairs
Ok, we’ve known since she was nominated as McCain’s pick for VP that the Left was salivating to get at Sarah Palin, in more ways than one.
They had a presumed Republican novice in their sights and they collectively zoned in on the governor of Alaska.
Even they felt uncomfortable trashing an American hero, John McCain, aside from saying he was an old fart who didn’t know the internet from a hairnet, much like Joe Biden who thought websites have phone numbers.
However, Palin was more than fair game and they proceeded with vicious ad hominem, family, and political attacks since, closet-sexists as Lefties are, they felt they could freely pummel her and she would roll over and play dead or roll over and let them have their figurative will with her.
They failed in both ambitions.
Sarah Palin proved to be the best choice McCain could have made, drawing far bigger and far more enthusiastic crowds of true Republicans, true conservatives than the wishy-washy war hero.
The so-called “women’s movement” became more a bowel movement when it came to supporting a conservative woman candidate.
Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses but don’t even think of giving us a woman who revels in her husband and her womanhood, despises abortion, and who professes conservative values.
Sarah Palin scared the Democratic Left to its rotten core in 2008. In 2009, with the publication of Going Rogue: An American Life, she has petrified them.
With the able assistance of fellow McCain RINOS who are still seeking a scapegoat for their ignominious loss and disastrous screw-ups, the campaign to destroy Sarah Palin, begun 15 months ago, has intensified.
McCain strategist Steve Schmidt joined the Left in lambasting Going Rogue.
With a history of masterfully strategizing defeat on state and national levels, (cf. Tim Leslie, Matt Fong, and Lamar Alexander), Schmidt should have slunk off to the Home for Loser Strategists last November 5th.
Instead, he chose to lie in wait and to snipe at Palin in an attempt to save his sorry rep.
“Total fiction” and disappointing, bleated Schmidt about Going Rogue. This from the same man who undermined Palin’s candidacy from the start by alleging she suffered from post-partum depression.
He went on to almost single-handedly guide the McCain-Palin ticket into a humiliating electoral nosedive last year. Sore loser extraordinaire Schmidt is now whining because Palin had the fortitude to out him and his failures.
Is it any wonder he would be p*ssed?
Schmidt’s getting his nose out of joint over Going Rogue is paled by the Left’s anticipated antipathy toward Palin and her book. It is as if it were a revised edition of Mein Kampf.
Epitomized by the rush to publication of Going Rouge: An American Nightmare, the lividity of the Left over Palin is as transparent as their hero, Obama, is opaque.
Palin may not snag . . .
