Palin's 'Going Rogue' R-rated content

One of the nastiest stories that the media kept "making up'' about Sarah Palin was the unfounded suggestion that the former governor of Alaska and permanent "first dude'' were breaking up.

The Republican confronted rumors about an alleged divorce from husband Todd, seasoned snowmobile racing champion, commercial fisherman and oilfield hand, in the tabloids. Now she confronts them in her memoir, Going Rogue:

"That day in sunny Texas when the divorce rumors were rampant in the tabloids, I watched Todd, tanned and shirtless, take the baby from my arms and walk him back to the ranch house so Trig could nap while I made calls,'' Palin writes in the book, a copy obtained by NBC News and others in advance of its publication this week.

"Seeing Todd's blue eyes smiling, I chuckled,'' Palin writes. "'Dang,' I thought. 'Divorce Todd?'

"Have you seen Todd?''
