Am I correct to assume that all Republicans, Conservatives and TeaBaggers are going to reject the 6 month extension of the COBRA subsidy President Obama signed on Tuesday? After this would fit the definition of SOCIALISM. If you have any principles Republicans, Conservatives and TEaBaggers you MUST reject this GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY and pay the full price of COBRA premiums.

Republicans and teabaggers who reject Socialism and it's concepts must stay off the interstate highway system. You know it is a socialistic thing in nature. Let them take the side streets and back roads to their destinations. They should also forfeit their social security and VA payouts and benefits. CNN POLL: OBAMA'S APPROVAL RATING JUMPS UP TO 54% ON EVE OF HEALTH CARE BILL PASSAGE!

Some very exciting numbers coming in from CNN: Obama's approval rating is back up to a formidable 54%, with 42% of Americans now supporting the Senate's health care plan. Both of these figures are up dramatically from earlier in the month, when Obama's approval was at 48% and HCR was at 36%.

The trend is obvious: passage of the bill on 12/24 by the Senate will only further bolster these promising numbers for Obama and the Democrats in Congress, making prognostications of their doom from Left and Right a tad bit premature.

Most notable to me is that the increase in approval of the bill has come exclusively from Democrats, jumping up 10% from the most recent CNN poll. Despite the highly vocal progressive clamoring for killing the bill and blustery claims that its enactment will lose Obama his base for all time, it's now apparent that more unpopular than anything was the process, not the final product. Once the bill is passed and Obama's first major accomplishment is on the books, I think the Dems will cruise to a very comfortable midterm election and Obama will have plenty of capital to spare for the rest of his first term agenda.

Whether or not you approve of the content of the bill, the fact remains that Obama's base is still with him and he has shown the same patience and grace as an executive that he did as a candidate. We would never have arrived at this moment if he had fallen prey to the rabid 24/hr news (Faux News) cycle/blogosphere's microanalysis of every anonymous leak and Congressional development. I say congrats to President Obama and Leader Reid at getting this thing passed.

Why does OFA think anyone would want to give a Christmas card having anything to do with Obama? Is Obama anything like the spirit of Christmas? He would rather kill wild mustang horses in Western states than have the BLM adopt an effective birth control program for the animals even though the ways and means for it are there. He has lied to the American public on the Health Industry Stimulus Bill re the mandate, taxes on employer-given plans, and lack of a public option giving competition to the insurance and Rx industry. He continues to send soldiers to their death for other nations' corruption. He likes the fact that America continues to use and leave landmines for children in other nations to stumble upon. He loves the Bush tax cuts to the most wealthy Americans--and has left them alone. He loves the Wall Street institutions and continues to allow the obscene bonuses paid for by the US tax payer. He says differently--but he talks out of both sides of his mouth here. He believes that some states deserve preferential treatment when bribing senators for their votes. No thanks. There is nothing Christ-like about Obama--as was there nothing Christ-like about Bush or Cheney. The OFA might want to hit me up around Halloween.

Obamacare sparking 10th Amendment rebellion, action in seven states

Looks like the steadily growing list of constitutional, ethical and political outrages that constitute the Harry Reid version of Obamacare is sparking a rebellion in the states, as AP reports South Carolina's attorney general plans to investigate the vote-buying that surrounded the proposal in the Senate majority leader's office.

According to AP, South Carolina's Henry McMaster is being joined by the attorneys general of Michigan and Washington state in a suit to determine the constitutionality of the Obamacare proposal. Their initiative was prompted by a request from South Carolina's two senators, Lindsay Graham and Jim DeMint, both Republicans.

Attorneys-general in at least four other states are also considering joining McMasters, according to AP. A move by a group of states to challenge the constitutionality of Obamacare could reinvigorate the efficacy of the 10th Amendment, which reserves to the states or the people all rights not specifically granted to the federal government.

First President Obama signs the ARRA (Porkulus) on 02/17 and allows for a GOVERNMENT subsidy of 65% towards COBRA premiums for up to 9 months and Republicans, Conservatives and TeaBaggers who qualify rush to sign up. Now an extension is passed for 6 more months of elligibility for this SOCIALIST, GOVERNMENT subsidy and I don't see or hear TeaBaggers TeaBagging about entitlements and mooching off the government, or leave me alone Big Brother! Hypocrites. Maybe you need your talk show heros to tell you what to think.

First if we are paying for these services, such as Social Security, highways thru are taxes, it is not hypocritical for us to use them.

Second, the Teabaggers are the tax payers. We are the people pulling the economic wagin, not the freeloaders sitting on it. It is the tax payers of this nation that do want to see tax dollars wasted on items that are not the federal gov'ts responsibility - such as health care. The country cannot afford it.

Well they finally got it right here, Obama has never stopped campaigning. And for all you far left wingnut saxs the polls show more people oppose this bill then support it. Of course if CNN only ask Democrats what they think then they get the answers they want. What the loony left seems to forget they are only 20% of the voting block. We do need healthcare reform and this bill is not it. The problem for the Democrats on the Hill is that people are starting to see what is in the bill and they do not like it. The people do not like public funding for abortions (I myself do not have a problem with this), what I do have a problem with is not requiring proof of citizenship. Sorry but I served this country and believe you should at least be a citizen to get a free handout or you can go back to where you came from and get a handout in the form of foreign aid. And before someone on the loony left calls me a racist let me say this I believe in immigration but not illegal legal aliens.

The last time a bill was passed in this fashion was 1854 (Kansas-Nebraska Act) and it is believed that this bill led in part to the creation of the Republican Party and the start of the Civil War. People on the loony left believes that the tea party movement is only a Republican thing, it is more than that. There is actually a second movement called conservative the two are similar. And in a poll done a few weeks ago the tea party beat both Republican and Democrat. This coming summer we will see if like in 1854 a new political party is born. If you read American history there is a strong possibility the time is right for this to happen again. I think America would be stronger if we had three, four, or five parties. Too many people say that there will never be a third political party in this country but, at one time they said there would never be a black man as president of the United States of America. I also believe we are not long from our first female president.

I read the left-wing loons on here about not using the highway, the Postal Service, and the like do you know how idiotic you sound. I bet you never heard of the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854 and what that led to. Liberals (not Democrats) only make up 20% of the voters. Obamacare is not a healthcare reform bill, a true reform bill was introduced in March 2009 by a Republican. The bill was less than 400 pages and called for real reform but seeing how the Democrats have had control of the House for coming up on four years now they would not let it come out of committee. And let's not forget once the Congress was under control of the Democrats employment started going down the economy started going down funny how that seems to happen when Democrats are in control. Call me a liar if you want to but, show me where I'm wrong and a left wing website does not count as fact neither does MSNBC, CNN, NBC, ABC, Fox, CBS. And blaming a banker without blaming the Clinton Administration for not regulating swaps when they were bring to their attention in 1996 is lazy and once more idiotic. Lookup Bankers Trust and see how Clinton Administration cover up how that was really the first bank that went under because of swaps. And how two of Obama's main financial advisors were there in the Clinton Administration arguing against regulating swaps. All you have to do is go back to 1996 and how a woman that ran a small government agency tried to get the Clinton Administration to do something about swaps. She called for regulations of this practice but man appointed by President Clinton went before Congress and told them that if they listen to her she would kill the market. Funny thing is the swaps that she was trying to regulate our what finally almost did kill the markets. Two of those men that worked for President Clinton are now top financial aids to President Obama. And the failure of Fannie and Freddie could have been stopped. President Bush and Republican members of Congress try no less than 13 times to do something about how Fannie and Freddie were doing business. At a Senate hearing chaired by Barney Frank the Democratic members at that hearing called the man that wanted more regulators for Fannie and Freddie racist. Barney Frank even went on to say that there was nothing wrong with Fannie and Freddie at that time. At the time of the hearing Republicans were going for an audit of Fannie and Freddie but the Democrats said no knowing that as long as people that could afford homes were getting them they would get their vote.
