Who says FOX News doesn't like Barack Obama?
The first year of the Democratic president has been good for the nation's leading cable news channel - its viewership up 7 percent in prime-time hours so far in 2009, compared to the same time last year.
Make that 10 percent among the 25-54-year-olds whom advertisers love to court.
As opposed to both rivals CNN, suffering an apparent post-Dobbs slump as well, and MSNBC - down by double-digits from year to year.
So say the Nielsen ratings in this year of living Democratically, when President Barack Obama's White House has taken on FOX for being something other than a traditional news network - "an arm of the Republican Party,'' according to the outgoing White House communications director. It could be, perhaps, that all the vitriol which commentator Glenn Beck and company have stirred up for Obama and crew has been box-office for the network that the press office loves to hate.
Beck's own audience - 2.67 million viewers in November - includes a 101 percent gain among the 25-54 year-olds since last year.
It's both FOX's standard news fare - Brett Baier's report - and its commentary - Beck, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity - that have fared well during the first 10 months of the Obama administration.
FOX News, of course, has been dominant in the cable ratings for some time - No. 1 in total viewers for 95 consecutive months (since January of 2002), by Nielsen Media Research's count.
But Baier's Special Report and The O'Reilly Factor scored their best month of the year in November, both in total viewership and in the 25-54 cohort.
Both CNN and MSMBC were suffering their worst months of the year, by comparison - with CNN's Anderson Cooper down 70 percent from last year among the 25-54s, Wolf Blitzer's Situation Room off 63 percent among the same crowd.
And CNN's viewership was off 25 percent in the weeks following Lou Dobbs' surprise on-air resignation, comparing the pre-Dobbs and post-Dobbs segments of November's ratings.
Bill O'Reilly's audience of 3.669 million in November included a 12 percent gain in the 24-54 audience, compared with November of last year.
CNN's Campbell Brown's audience of 696,000 was down 62 percent in the same cohort. MSNBC's Countdown with Olbermann, with 1 million viewers, also was down 62 percent among the same audience, year to year.
Even Larry King's 853,000 was off 59 percent.
And Chris Matthews, playing Hardball over at MSNBC, pulled 672,000 viewers, including 184,000 in the 25-54 bracket, off 63 percent from the previous November. It could be all that interrupting of guests that the host does.

Comments
If the ratings for ClusterFox are a reflection of how Americans feel then why in 2006 & 2008 (when Faux was also leading in the ratings) did the Republicans get their butts kicked?
Faux will always win the ratings game, they're not a real news outlet.

Stupid Republicans don't know the difference between popularity and accuracy. To the idiot Republicans, whoever screams the loudest and has the last word is right.

Not surprising. Liberals are hard working and enterprising individuals. Retards that tune into FOX w/ notepads in hand are jobless slobs who blame politicians for their lack of education and other shortcomings.

The Wingnutters love Faux because it's all pretty colors, flashing lights and waving flags. That's all they need.
But on serious note, I think they like it because it's not too mentally taxing. They don't have to actually absorb the information, take the time to parse out the positions of both sides and come to a conclusion.
It's like shorthand news: 'black' vs. 'white', 'up vs 'down' is really easy to understand, and get upset about, if needs be. In the Wingnuts uninformed, one "news" source based bizarro reality, they're arguments all end with - "cause we say so".

Could this be why Americans are turning to Fox more and more these days because of the hardcore left who use these afore mentioned words at every step & who can't seem to be a civil group?
Appears so.

Based on Katrina victims and the constant bloodshed in Chicago, I would say the poster got this one BACKWARDS.
The ignorant voters who voted for The Lyin' Hawaiian would be the ones living on the government dole, not people who work hard and are tired of Washington politicians like the socialist Obama stealing our hard-earned money and giving it to those who do nothing but wait on a government handout.

Fox is a propaganda outlet and it is now in the business of organizing and promoting anti-government protests. This is not what news organizations are supposed to do. The press reports the news, it does not make it up, then report on it.

I have FACTS for you to digest. Hands down President Obama and Democrats carried the votes of Americans w/ educations above a Bachelors Degree. Miscreants, Racists and Rubes are the only voters the Republicans could drum up in 2008. Now FOX is popular because there are so many jobless, slob Republicans who prefer to watch TV instead of going out and looking for work. Democrats are too busy educating, getting educated and working to support the 3rd World Red States who suck a disproportionate amount of Federal handouts when compared per capita to Blue States. Democrats don't have time to watch TV and learn how the economy is recovering thanks to action taken by the Party of Success. The Party of Failure is where it belongs, in the toilet.
Posted by: You Lost, Get Over It | December 2, 2009 5:38 PM
Uptight busybody liberals shouldn't be so afraid of Fox News, as expressed by these postings, but of the internet media. The internet media is the frontier for conservative thought and organization, evidenced by the tea party movements this year. It's where I get all my news from- not silly tv news outlets like CNN, FOX and MSNBC.
The internet media is starting to bring down the global warming hoax from which Al Gore and other liberal charlatans have made fat cash and to which the mainstream media have provided faithful cover.
Independent thought and liberty live on through the internet media and will continue to expose all of you for the frauds you are. Individualism reigns and the collective dies- loves it.

Possibly the funniest comment of the century:
"Liberals are hard working and enterprising individuals. Retards that tune into FOX w/ notepads in hand are jobless slobs who blame politicians for their lack of education and other shortcomings."
Sorry, but reality is that it is the conservatives and moderates who make this country tick. It is the conservatives who largely make up the U.S. military. It is conservatives who largely own the small businesses that employ most Americans.
It is largely conservatives who run the major corporations that employ lots more Americans. Conservatives always have been the backbone of this country.
The reality is that it is the liberals who largely live off the government. It is liberals who largely run the education system in this country, which is in shambles and getting worse.
It is liberals who largely make up the governmental bureaucrats that screw up the government that leads to graft and corruption, folks like Boy Stroger, Daley, Blago, Rangel, William Jefferson, Biden, Schumer, Reid, Peloony and the rest of the worthless crap that is the loony left.

At least we understand the prosperity of the individual and encourage corporations to innovate. Democrats have been lied to and suppressed by the Government and kept from reaching their potential. Just like the progressive twits here that are calling viewers of the competition, "retards", leftist talking heads have a similar loathing for Americans.
Nevermind that twice as many people identify themselves as conservative vs. liberal... we're all just crazy or stupid because we don't buy the socialist, communist, statist, communitarian, (or whatever the hell new term they've invented this week), dogma of their pathetic ideology.

Ii think everyone of you that has posted is a complete moron. The fact that your bickering about which party is worse shows that NO ONE knows whats going on. Its not the democrats doing this or the republicans doing that which is causing all of this mess. It's both parties and the idiots we elect to "represent" us that are causing all the problems. Whenever you guys are ready to actually stand up for what YOU believe in, not what some 2 bit TV show host (olberman, beck, hannity, etc) tells you to believe in, maybe things in this country might turn around. Unfortunately, each and every one of you has shown just how stupid people in this country can be. Rather than debating the merits of a policy or try to figure a prudent way out of a mess, you stoop to the level of an 8 year old and call each other names. If each one of you nut job left AND right wingers would stop the vicious attacks on one another, you might be surprised how easy it is to come to a compromise. But then again, this is America. We apparently don't believe in that anymore.

Just be honest about it and quit thinking liberalism = honesty, because it surely doesn't. Why are you so flippin' afraid of one media outlet? Afraid that if your bogus claims of climate change and the reinterpretation of marriage are challenged they won't hold up? Why not come up with a stronger position instead of silencing your opponents? Talk about frightening. I don't consider CNN a news network that is valid for me because the news is reported from a completely liberal perspective. Once again, to call those who chose to watch CNN "idiots," "Cheeseballs," "stupid" and many other schoolyard names only serves to prove the IQ of those posting.

Hahahaha! Liberals are cute when they are mad. Obama is going to go down harder than Jimmy Carter. A one term stooge who will cause Americans to vote for the most extreme right wing candidate who runs in 2012 just to get the bad smell of Obama's presidency out of their nostrils. Are you seriously suggesting that 80% of Americans are idiots and that you guys are the only ones with any brains? If that is true then blame the public education system that failed them - the same public indoctrination schools you liberaltards have laid to academic waste. But we know what is really going on here. You are a bunch of crybabies who are losing the ground you gained in 2008 by hook and by crook. Now you are crying foul because people have woken up and are not happy with anything Obama is doing. Your TV stations like CNN and MSNBC are down 67% in the latest ratings. Are you suggesting that your station was watched by a large portion of idiots among whom you associated? Where was your anger and sarcasm when all the morons were watching your station? Doesn't make any sense does it? Neither do your arguments. A lot of money goes into getting those numbers every week. People who are probably more educated than you pour over those figures. Fox is going to put liberal news channels out of business if they don't return to real journalism. By the way, most of Fox's stories come from the same place that CNN and the rest get their info from. It is called the AP. However CNN will not report anything that doesn't contain liberal spin. Fox does not try to hide their bias. However they call those biased guys pundits and commentators and not anchors or reporters and they save the most of the spin for the talk shows. Air America failed miserably also. You guys are only good for whining and crying when things don't go your way. Truly pathetic.

If FOX news isn't really news, then you would think that they would get sued for lying (but that doesn't happen). Geez, the lame stream media could actually fact check what they say, you know, like they did the SNL skit. But, that won't work either since when you fact check FOX, you find they are telling the truth. Liberals don't watch FOX, they just parrot the Daily Kos and Huffington, the two biggest liars going. When I say fact check, I mean read the bill, watch the unedited video, read the police report, you know, real facts.......not some liberal blog. However, knowing that 20 percent of America is committed to communism, I won't hold my breath. Yes, Obama did get the majority of votes because 2 groups of people who never show up at the polls did in 2008. In 2006, the Republicans were being punished for spending too much. Have fun bragging about that, because 2010 is going to make 2006 look like a cake walk. Liberals/progressives are going to have to find another way to force communism on this country because the cats out of the bag for the next 20 years. Get used to it. You're going to have to get a job and be responsible for yourself.

Deny the facts, start name-calling, shout out every opposing view, start talk to create laws to help bail out the seldom read proganda leftist media, play victim, trash the Constitution, bash the military and then apologize to the world for helping to win WWI, WWII and abolish Communism. The universities have made fools out of their students. They think that knowledge is king, but they don't understand that wisdom would teach them how to use their knowledge. Our villiage is now slightly half filled with idots. Why don't they move to other countries that share their same ideals? Because they want America to become the same instead of remaining better than the rest of the world. Dolts.

LOL, the leftist nutjobs have their panties in a bunch over the reality that Fox is the only news organization that focuses on the news and that's why they have won the ratings game. While GE owned CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, and kook owned CNN are worried about fact checking SNL,having tingles shoot up their collective legs, or referencing political "experts" like Bill Maher. Fox News reports on the news with actually credible sources, unlike its supposed peers. Contrary to the Obama sycophants posting here working Americans want their news hour to have credible content.
Posted by: Regular Guy | December 2, 2009 9:08 PM
There's a simple way for MSNBC and/or CNN to take down FOX: start a conservative channel. Here's the deal; for liberal news consumption there's too few customers chasing too many goods/suppliers - MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS. For conservative news consumption, there are too many customers chasing too few goods/suppliers - FOX News is the sole conservative news outlet. The liberal TV news market is flooded, but Lib networks, like NBC, double down by veering off to the radical left figuring to compete with FOX. STUPID. If MSNBC became a balanced, news organization; left wing red-meat like Olby and Maddow, and some conservative red-meat a la O'reilly they would give FOX a run for their money. But, they are too tied to their ideology to do that. FOX has no need to change as they are successful and crushing the competition. You've got to cause FOX to pivot, get them off their game or they will just continue to crush the Lib networks.

Hard working Dems like the one in front of Ford Field in Detroit waiting for their "Obama money", are making this country great! What a laugh!
The problem with this country is it has steered away from the conservative principles that Reagan espoused. Bush's I & II didn't stick with them. People voted for Obama due to a lack of choices. I had to hold my nose to vote for McCain. At least he was slightly right of Outright-Socialist.
Speaking of Fox, it's funny how Fox will be the only network to report on Climategate and ACORN's Prostitution-support business. The other so-called "legitimate" news outlets ignore these Obama-damaging stories.

I'm proud to say my son works for Fox News and they are a very good company to work for and learn the trade. To all the liberals who don't understand the shows, opinion vs. news, etc., it's a little to late for you and I would suggest you change the channel... Fox doesn't need you sore losers.

I love how left wing narcissists like to point the finger when the fearless leader they all voted for (eh, hem, because he wasn't Bush) can't do the job. Speaking of job, oddly enough that left wing bloggers on this page are stating the Republicans are the jobless idiots choosing to watch TV rather than get a job, when you are the ones pushing for the Government to do everything for you.
I guess having your stings pulled by Reid and Pelosi isn't all what its cracked up to be. The Dems finally got their way...Socialism Lives.

These same libs in denial about the power of FOX News, are the same rubes that told us the world was overheating. That fudged data about anthropogenic global warming was about as real as the tin hoop for a halo La Bomba wears in his dismal performance as President.
You loons are getting ready to learn a hard lesson in about eleven months. See you at the polls deviants, dimwits, dopers, lying academicians, ambulance chasers, and union thugs.

The hard working non-dependent class of America does not need Fox news to see that Liberalism is for idiots. America, free markets, and Capitalism died in 2008 with the election of the inexperienced clown from Chicago.

Why cant liberals have a simple debate without resorting to name calling? Is it because they never have facts and evidence to back up their claims? And why is Fox News so awful? At least they admit they lean to the right. Why cant MSNBC admit they lean far more to the left than Fox News leans to the right?
Posted by: Andrew | December 2, 2009 9:22 PM
It's truly funny reading some of these post negative about Republicans (they are jobless, racist, less educated or whatever). I can say the same thing about the Demoncrats. Obama is the worst President this country has EVER elected.

Yes, yes, all the libtards posting here are right, Fox isnt real news, but what we get from Katie Couric, Tim Russert, and their ilk give us the real, unbiased news. Puh-lease. Freakin libtards. Better get all your worthless cap&trade, nazi/socialist healthcare passed now(you can sense the urgency and panic) because in 2010 the landslide back to the right is going to rock your world.

Fox News is popular because they do a great job of uncovering truths people want to hear. Librals are mad because the truth hurts. It hurts to know 'Libral Philosophy' SUCKS! For all those Leftwing Nuttjobs who blindly believe that Obama is NOT Marxist... I say, "wake up you FOOLS!!!" ...and if you fools remain fools ... what can I say, except even Hitler and Mao had followers! "You leftwing marxist move to Cuba or Venezuela!" "Quit the Gov Control, Quit the spending, Quit raising taxes!"

You can always tell when Libs have nothing important to add to a conversation, they go to personal attacks. In other words they seldom have anything of value to say, unless its personal attacks.

To the Hard Working Texan. For someone that thinks the present government is great you sure act angry at the world. I know several of those people that voted for OBama and they have never been to college and they don't read any info or think for themselves. I had one person to tell me that she will always vote for a democrat because her father, who died years ago, told her to always vote democrat. I asked her several easy political questions and she didn't have a clue as to what Obama believed in. That is the democrates that are brain dead!!!

And the MSM is in complete denial of climategate. So WHO is not a real news channel and who is giving us the whole story? That is why Fox is way ahead of the fake news channels.

And Libs - try and pass ObamaCare.... We're gonna have a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG surprise for you! (and it's not gonna be plesant.. But it's a BRILLIANT plan!).
After 2012, I seriously doubt we'll ever see a Democrat hold office, again, in my lifetime- and I'm only 35. And you commun...errr, "Liberals" have no one but yourselves to blame, for finally showing America your true colors.
And to all you blacks out there, enjoy the power while you can, because there will never be another elected ever again, thanks to Obama.

If that were true, MSNBC would garner far greater ratings than just a handful of leftwing miscreants watching from mental institutions.

It is wrong to criticize people just for watching Fox News. I am sure that most Fox News viewers utilize other media outlets for news as well. The Democrats won the election and they won on an agenda, it is time for them to live up to their campaign slogans and promises, the time for campaigning is over. Permanent Campaign mode is unacceptable. President Obama has a chance to do great things for our country. He has incredibly high ratings, although slightly falling. If he and the Congress would come back to the middle and get things accomplished we could lead ourselves into a great economic era. We could continue to lead the world. At the rate we are borrowing/printing money is leading us down the road to hard times. Remember, no matter what your political affiliation is we are all Americans and we all want to earn a living and spend time with our family and friends.

MSNBC has got to be the most Liberal Left-Wing program on TV. It's ratings are horrible and hosts to hyper to allow guests to even speak, not information just noise. Maybe Microsoft is just use to spewing out noise themselves?

The amount of generalizations that have been posted in response to this article is unbelievable. I'm not going to actually indicate my actual beliefs in this post but by just reading the racist, inaccurate, and absurd generalizations on this board shows me why our founding fathers decided is was not in the best interest of our country to let everyone vote. This page is proof for this argument. Maybe I'm just overhyping the typical internet responses to any article that seems to be in favor of one party or the other online, but come on, just look at yourselves. All of you are acting like a group of monkeys with this type of ignorant banter that I assume most of would call actual debate. Why don't we get serious on the issues and try to fuse the best parts of each party into a solution for our country. As long as idiots such as yourselves are the ones in charge of voting four our government, we'll never be able to dig ourselves out of the mess were in.

Look at the times of these postings...Why is it that all the mean-spirited haters were the first to get on and start commenting? Was it because many of them WORK for the Tribune or they're at work screwing off on company time or government time or jobless? Then, look at the other time stamps...the conservatives started chiming in over the last hour and a half or so. Could it be that these are the working middle class that have finally gotten home from work, had some time with their kids, ate dinner and finally have a chance to sit down and peruse the net? Hmmm...liberals on the net during the day when they should be working or ...conservatives putting in a full day, enjoying family then relaxing last. I guess I fall in the second category.

Maybe when America destroys itself from within because of our arrogant s and love of money, power. (Oh! I mean sin) America has turn her back on the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. The one and only true God who is the one that has given us the freedoms we enjoy in America! God will not reside were he is not wanted! When America chose Obama to save America! You almost think that the public might not be that crude... then you see the lovely hate filled bile being spewed out in forums. The true mark of someone's character is what they say to people when they're free of reprisal.
It's one thing to disagree with someone's politics, it's another to attack an individual personally for those views. Seriously folks, grow up... have a civil, and well thought out debate on the topics.
Yes, lets attack Fox news based on the name and perceptions you formed of the outfit.... stereotyping is no better when done to an organization then when it's done to an individual or group of people.
But, politics is all about perception, not about the actual facts of the matter. So lets just keep beating someone else down to pick ourselves up, rather than having a rational discussion. Heaven forbid we allow free debate, and anyone that has a different opinion then your own? Well they're obviously an idiot.

Would that be the state where the federal government is largely irrelevant, because Texan's don't give a d@mn what some narcissistic, statist dictator has to say from on high in DC? I'm with you on Bush. He was no better than BO. But if you're interested in talking about failure, look at California and the other liberal wastelands you revere. I'll take Texas any day of the week and twice on Sunday's versus whatever rat-infested third world hell-hole you'd take as a model for America's "new" direction. And I'm not a Texan, I'm from Ohio. But I wouldn't mind being a Texan. When the government comes knocking on your door, it's not gonna be some pretty boy from California blocking it's way with his Blackberry. It'll be the armed and "toothless cowboy" from Texas you so deride. Some day you'll be on your knees thanking God for Texas.

Obama's approval rating is swirling down the toilet, and Fox, the network that gives me everything CNN does (plus another side to the story) is knocking it out of the park. People don't trust any of the cable outlets that dropped their pants and bent over for candidate Obama. Which, sadly, are all but Fox. Tell me, lib, do you really applaud the record spending of this administration? If you think it makes sense, I've got some carbon offsets to sell you. Face it, you are in the minority. People should be more worried if the press likes the government. It's the job of a free press to be critical of government. Apply the viewership numbers to any other network and they would be called "market share". CNNs viewership is "equidistant" from Fox with regard to liberal-leaning viewers, yet no one is calling them partisan.
Bottom line, there are larger issues here than numbers/ratings. The fact the White House has attached Fox News is an attack on the free press.

Lib's seem to think that they're the "smart" and "thoughtful" people and are the ones that are able to understand "nuance" and "complex" issues, yet all they can do here is resort to ad homonym attacks. (That means name calling libs.)
It’s sad, really, they post here ranting about how superior they are to us conservatives and that we should, well, be exterminated or something. Well, that fits because that is how the left has ultimately dealt with opposition. All of histories madmen were leftists. Hitler was a socialist, Stalin was a community organizing communist, Pol Pot was, well, a crazy mass murderer but he loved communism too! The next madmen are leftist too, Iran’s Amawackjob is a socialist, Chavez is a socialist. (Hmm, haven’t I read that they are now working together against the US?) Yet actors, prostitutes, really, go down and kiss Hugo ring!
You libs are pathetic. Here’s a question: Will you die or fight for anything? No. Because your Godless cowards and don’t believe that there is anything other than this life. That’s why everything is “unfair.” Well, I have news for you, we conservatives by and large see this life as a blessing from God and we are willing to fight for it. At the end of the day, we will just kick you ass; just like we did to Hitler and the others.
Your time is near. Keep on crying because everything is coming to end for you. Global Warming is now shown as an outright Fraud. Socialized medicine is going down in flames as we speak, foreign policy is now an open joke just as you and your leaders are. “It’s all burning man!”
I hope your miserable lives lead you to a better place. Perhaps even find happiness and Christ. But we want you out of power, forever.

I have read the pro and con debate about Fox news. News flash...When the US Government wants the truth it does not turn to CNN or NBC, it turns to Fox. The real issue is: Why do Americans refuse to see the writing on the wall. Our Constitution is being trampled by Republicans (Bush) and Democrates (Obama) alike, which Fox continously states as they tell the truth. Global warming is a proven hoax yet Americans still believe it. Government run health care has never worked in any other Socialistic society yet Americans are going to turn thier heads while the Government rams it through. The value of the dollar is at an all time low and still falling with major inflation on the horizon, yet the American people refuse to acknowledge the facts, which are readily availiable to all. Our Constitution is under attack by a progressive Government. This progressiveness involves Republicans and Democrates alike. Obama just ramps up the progressive agenda by overspending, overtaxing and a specific statist agenda actually moving America away from a viable Free Market Republic to a Socialistic boardering on Communist ideal. America can not go wrong if we stick to the Costitution. Our government tramples it. It is time for change. NOT Obama style, Thomas Jefferson, Abe Lincoln, or George Washington style.

Whie Foxnews personalities clearly slant right, they are no more right than abccbsnbccnnmsnbc personalities bend ledft.
However, unlike the other networks foxnews pesonalities dont pretend to be middle of the road where thry bend right. I watched foxnews last night after the speech, the guests they had argued all over the place on the Obama speech. Hannit was arguing with his guests constantly. While it got annoying i can honestly say, even with the most right wing host I got the full perspective. With the other networks you get no such thing. Climate scandal, barely a mention...yet you have 7 minister of parliment and an opposition leader resign in australia which like the us was voting on a cap and trade scheme. The difference between foxnews and the other networks is they advance the basic news as well as stroies the msm wont report becuase they would jeopordize their political bias...
Last point...foxnews's 6pm news spot with brett baier (formerly britt hume) is second to none. Stories are presented ina fair and balanced format. for 1 hr on one network do you get unbiased news!

I am an independent middle of the road well educated and reasonably successful. I have voted for Democrats and Repubs, I watch Fox sometimes to get the other side of the story.
I will tell you that I am one independent that will not again support Pres Obama. The reasons are some of the very things that Fox reports on.
You guys call each other names but you have to admit that no one is satisfied that the direction we are going is the change that was promised. Once again, time for change.

I like what Liberals are concerned about...Who wins the News Channel Wars!!?? Who cares! You notice they never acknowledge increased taxes even for YOUNG people under the health care bill. They never acknowledge increased taxes and utilities under cap and trade. They wont acknowledge that the science is NOT settled regarding Global Warming AND they still cling to their idiotic belief that you can TAX an economy back into prosperity!! It's never happened before, it's not happening now and it will not happen in the future! WAKE UP!

If the ratings for ClusterFox are a reflection of how Americans feel then why in 2006 & 2008 (when Faux was also leading in the ratings) did the Republicans get their butts kicked?
Faux will always win the ratings game, they're not a real news outlet.

Man the Liberals who have posted here are possibly the most ignorant bunch of boobs I have seen yet.
Wake up fools... Liberalism is what is destroying this nation. Obama is all "666" as far as the future of this nation goes. He will surpass Jimmy CV. as the most destructive and WORST President ever and your going to suffer right along with the rest of the nation if any of his Marxist/Facist/Socialist policies get put into law.

"We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force."

I love reading the comments by the left, they read like, victory.
They are all the same whatever the venue they are found in. Mention Sarah Palin's name, and they go from PDS to completely Sarah-noid. CNN tops it for such, the Palin haters all go so schizoid, that even uber liberal CNN becomes embarassed by the comments and they always have to close it to further comments in short order.
I have never met a happy lefty liberal in my life. They are all dour, bitter and full of hate, their attempts at sick humor, are alway humorless and they say, it's for the chilens ya know.
The left personified: "When in danger, when in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout."

Several post here are made by either CNN/MSNBC employees or were told not to like fox by the networks. Faux News now that is hysterical..That will definately make somone not want to watch that network.

I love how the "educated" point to shows like O'Reilly and Glen Beck. They are so "educated" that it must be beneath them to realize these are opinion shows with content stemming from the news. The actual news programs on Fox are fairly balanced. These "educated" people would realize this if they ever took the time to sit down and find out for themselves.

Was there ever any doubt that FOX would wind up on top? It is the only media that tells the truth.

This is too funny. Liberals claiming to be hardworking and conservatives being out of work.
Let's see - Michigan unemployment 15%+, California Unemployment 12%+, Texas Unemployment 7%.
The ONLY reason Fox news has upset the apple cart on "mainstream" media, is MSM has become irrelavant. They have become the "O's" lapdogs and have about as much integrity as a sewer rat.
Let's hope the dirge over mainstream media is short and sweet. It's now obvious, the only reason the "O" was elected was he changed his stripes for the election. Now that he's a known quantity, it will not happen again.
You can count me as one of those dumb texans with a dual masters degree in Finance and Information Technology and an IQ of 140. I know that's pretty low for the libtard history majors with the 680 sat's

REAL WORLD? Heh...You liberals comprise 20% of the US population (in every recent poll) yet control 95% of the media - at least until now. Dr. FOX is giving you liberals a big, long, shot in the fanny of the intolerable medicine the rest of us have had to stomach for decades from your networks. What's unfortunate is that all your responses are so lemming-like and typical of your ilk: Nothing but nasty insults from some ridiculous moral podium you don't even have. You liberals are nothing if not sophomoric to the last - I mean, at least offer an argument!!! Ahhh, forget it! Here's a bit of reality for you: You can't hide the truth forever and true colors get just rewards - so savor those rock-bottom ratings because there's much more to come.
Posted by: Supra 1 | December 2, 2009 10:28 PM
People watch Fox because it is a TRUSTED news source. Even when confronted with ACTUAL evidence liberals still don't get the fact that people don't want left-slanted vitriolic propagandist spin served up as "hard news". You might want to go back and read the stats again from the article morons although I know you only passed math class so that your teacher could meet her quota.

It is so very fun watching Liberals, both the street variety and the Elite, slobber and whine and hysterically slander the Fair and Balanced Journalism coming out of Fox News.
Further, this is happening while their religion of Global Warming is being irrefutably revealed for the hoax, fraud, and con-game we evil "NeoCons" always knew it to be.
Get used to it my "Progressive" friends, as reality is bringing you bigger and badder things your way.
It must suck to be you, but it couldn't happen to more deserving bunch.

"Facts" regarding which groups Obama "carried?" Those with more than a bachelors' degree? Check! Also, those with less than a high school diploma? Also, check! Which just goes to show you that sometimes a masters' degree ain't worth the paper it's printed on. You people on the left are either evil, ignorant, mentally retarded, or some combination thereof. I don't even know why I bother responding to you idiots. When one of you says "biased" what the rest of us know you to mean is what we refer to as "objective," that is, unfiltered through the White House Press Office and unapproved for official release by the Messiah.
Posted by: Chris | December 2, 2009 10:35 PM
The reason all the left wing media outlets are suffering is because there are so many of them sharing audiences. But God help us one station Fox does lean right and it scares the living day lights out of libers. One. One. You lefties have 90 stations to watch. Shut up.
Posted by: george | December 2, 2009 10:37 PM
This is a riot listening to the libs pullling their hair out. They can't figure out why of all the people who pay attention to the world around them, only 10% of them are really smart like them and the rest watch Fox. It takes longer for some to get it than others. But looking at the numbers of listeners converting from MSNBCCNN to Fox, not all of them are slow learners. While some continue to rely on the lib MSM to get their news filtered for them so they don't have to think too hard.

Of course Foxxxx ratings are up.
It's the network the right goes to to vicariously vent its hatred of Obama.
I know quite a number of folk who watch Foxxxx religiously.
Some patterns: wealthy, often self-made, folk who feel that "I got mine; you get yours."
Religious right, Right2Lifers who truly hate Obama and regard him as evil.
Etc. USW.
You can fill in other types I'm sure.
Most of these folks by now will "concede that Obama is charismatic".
Some will even grant that he really doesn't need a teleprompter and can speak impromptu on any policy issue in extenso.
What they haven't grasped, it seems, is what lies behind Kissinger's observation this summer:
Obama plays chess.
Vast bulk of right wingers can barely play checkers.
They are up against a Grand Master.
Just as a small example, go back and watch the West Point address of last evening.
You will come to a long stretch while the President was speaking, during which there was no noise or applause whatever.
Because that highly trained and specialized audience realized that, whether they agreed or no, the President had thought through all the subtleties of the problem and addressed them.
They sat in rapt attention.
In that, they are far ahead of the right wingers.
Which perhaps isn't saying a lot.
Posted by: ornery | December 2, 2009 10:40 PM
"Fox isnt news". Really? You mean the Acorn scandalous videos were'nt news? and the recently discovered Acorn documents describing their pro-Obama election escapades aren't news? And the Climategate scandal isnt news? The ONLY network to investigate those stories is FOX. Your rediculous assertion simply shows your level of ignorance and/or dishonesty.

Unfortunately, libtards are motivated by their hormones and emotions, and are not capable of rational, reasonable dialog and discussion of the issues. Their diatribe always deteriorates into hysterical name calling and poop-flinging as they attempt to shout down any person that does not agree with their agenda. They believe that they are oh-so-much smarter than the masses, and cannot fathom why the uneducated masses don't get into lock-step with them and march off the cliff of collectivism, singing the praises of BHO. It's amazing, really, how insulated from reality they are. March quickly, libtards. Jump off the cliff, and get out of our way. We want our country back, and we plan to take it.

Hey ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBC LIBS! Since your "news" channels didn't cover these stories let me try to enlighten you. First, Glenn Beck managede to get Van Jones kicked out of his czar position because of his communist statements. Anita Dunn and Ron Bloom are self-admitted Maoists. Acorn, in multiple cities, were caught on tape teaching a "pimp" and a "prostitute" how to avoid the taxman and smuggle in under-age illegals to use as prostitutes. And, the top "climatoligists had their e-mails hacked, which showed what a fraud global warming really is. This is just for starters
But stay with your channels. Maybe you can catch Chris Matthews shiver when he gets a tingley sensation running up and down his leg the next time Obama speaks

Fox News does a better job of presenting opposing view points than the CNN or especially MSNBC. CNN isn't terrible, most of CNN's shows where a panel is involved at least put up a person with the conservative viewpoint, although they are often outnumbered 3-1 by liberals plus whoever the left-leaning host is. MSNBC doesn't even try to put up conservatives whatsoever. Their audience prefers to hear Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman far-left rants.

Give me Fox anytime (and judging by their ratings a lot of others as well) over the MSM Obama toadies and Obamabots that believe everything he says. What a bunch of retarded idiots. Has the current administration accomplished anything yet? Didn't think so....more proof that the Democratic party is rooted in empty rhetoric of hope and change, rather than the core values of the majority of Americans. To the subject of the economy and fiscal responsiblity (supposedly a Dem strong suit). The latest from the Dem's: We want a war tax! It is funny to hear the democrats complain about the cost of the Iraq and Afghan wars (about $1 trillion), when the current administration has spent three times that amount in just one year (yes, $3 trillion). A large amount going to an $800 million stimulus bill that contained 600 earmarks. Does anyone know where the money went? Oh, silly me, It must have gone to "saving" jobs in 15 of the Congressional districts reported which do not exist. By the way, this is the first time in history that an administration has used the term "saving" jobs. Funny, that the only people would could calculate this new term are the Democrats who cannot come up with the facts to back up their false claims of saving the economy. What ever happend to the "line by line" term I heard so much during the Presidential Campaign? Of course, none of the campaign rhetoric matters anymore. We are stuck with an incompetent, unexperienced community organizer who got elected on the premises of smoke and mirrors. Why would we want to add any money to the Democrat's spending chest while they spiral the country into a larger deficit? The only positive thing that has come from the past elections is a reminder of what happens when you elect a bunch of leftist extremists....a whole lot of talking and spending! Good luck in next years elections! They should prove to be an utter train wreck! ~XOXO~

America is changing.
We have good liberals and good conservatives in this country. But, we also have crazy religious conservatives and off the chart liberals.
When I take a step back and look at both of these groups, the liberals scare me more. They always attack conservatives for "fearmongering" about possible war and destruction or being rascist. It's an old trick - call someone a coward before you are called a coward. The fearmongering comes from the left, always has.
"Pass cap n trade and cut co2 emissions before we all die a violent death!" What's that called? Fearmongering.
"You're an Uncle Tom for voting for a republican!" Whats that called? Racism
I'm an atheist and a mexican-american. At this point in my adult life, I'd rather have a family valued conservative running this country than a hypocrital (called coward first) liberal. The left in this country have become the new religious fanatics. You will not get any more of my votes.

Liberals are idiots if they think that the only reason Fox dominates is conservatives who are fed up with obama. A major segment of Fox's audience are independents who are tired of the liberal mantra on the broadcast networks and on the liberal-speak CNN and PMSNBC. Here's a clue for CNN and MSNBC: it's called NEWS. Other than the moral relativist robots, who are apparently informed, amused and entertained, by the never-ending Bush, Palin, Cheny name-calling, and the slobber tongued adulation of Obama, the recycled "victimized minority group" of the week tale, and the smarmy elitist attacks on honest Americans as tea-baggers and fringe-nuts, anyone else who is looking for NEWS has switched to Fox. If you want to know what's actually going on in the world, you can either search the foreign press on the internet, or watch Fox. ClimateGate, the ACORN scandal, the Van Jones debacle, etc. are purposely IGNORED on CNN and MSNBC. People who do NOT want their news CENSORED have no other option but Fox. When CNN and MSNBC replace newsworthy content, with the predictably, repetitive nonsense spewed by James Carville, Paul Begala, David Gurgin, Christine Amanpour, etc. (most intelligent people already know what they are going to say before they open the "rerun pieholes".) Bottom line, if CNN and MSNBC prefer to be propaganda tools instead of journalists, it's no wonder noone will watch them.
Posted by: NCMike | December 2, 2009 11:52 PM
It always amazes me how "liberals" seem to be the most intolerant people in America. Anyone with an opposing view has insults pelted against them. God help you if you are conservative southern and white. They attack your intelligence, education, religion and rights to believe as you like. I suspect this elitist attitude is why homogenized news like CNN is loosing favor with the masses. MSNBC is full of liberal spin but your readers do not hurl insults against it viewers. Mussolini said if you yell something loud enough long enough people will believe it. Seems liberals are really fascist in sheep's clothing,

Fox does have a point of view, but what I like about them is that they do allow the other side's points to be heard. That can't be said on some of the others. Often on MSNBC if the news doesn't fit into current Democratic talking points, they just ignore it or, if it gets mentioned, belittle it. Most adults on the left or the right can be trusted to hear both sides and then decide. My guess as to why Fox ratings are so high and getting higher is just that - even many people who lean left at least want to hear the other side.

The fact that CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, and ABC took six days to cover climategate (and even then, CNN did a 3 minute hatchet job on it) speaks legions about those networks. Fox gave Americans the big news story they deserved while the other stations floundered on a stupid security breach and Tiger Woods...not reporting climategate for 6 days takes away any credibility of the other stations. They are not looking out for us.

Obama is a one turn president. There are many reasons why he won his first and only term, among them: 1.) Liberal whites wanted to show how wonderful and progressive they were by voting for a black guy. They would have voted for Jerimiah Wright if he was running and had a 'D' after his name. 2.) Women voters thought Obama was cuter than McCain. 3.) Most importantly, McCain was not conservative enough and ran a half-hearted campaign, causing Many conservatives just to stay home on November 2nd.
Obama is going to get crushed in 2012. A lot of war vets (like myself) will be coming home and promising to undo the damage of the leftist Obama years. And also holding Republicans accountable for abandoning its core conservative principles. Watch out everybody...its going to be nasty. Democracy isn't always pretty.

It's retarded.
When was the last time you saw a liberal or conservative die for their ideas recently in America?
Least when I threw out my ideas, I made sure there was really cyanide in my juice. And since when did it become popular to resurrect metaphors for things that happened 29 years ago?

Fox News has dominated the cable news ratings for 95 straight months. MSNBC and CNN ratings continue to sink faster than a stone in the ocean.
Liberal Air America radio failed miserably. Conservative Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity radio ratings are tops in the business.
Newspapers, particularly liberal newspapers, are quickly going bankrupt around the country.
Mark Levin's book, "Liberty and Tyranny" was an enormous success in 2008 and Sarah Palin's book, "Going Rogue" has already sold 1 million copies in a scant few weeks of release in 2009.
What does this mean? It means that the audience is there provided the news, analysis and commentary is believed to be fair, objective and honest. Our nation is not liberal. But the nation is not against an open and honest debate on liberal and conservative issues either.
MSNBC and CNN for example are not believed to fair, objective or honest. Their ratings, or continued lack of ratings, prove it.
What is particularly silly is that Fox News, as good as they are in my opinion, could be better if they had decent competition. MSNBC and CNN choose not to compete. They chose instead to be one-sided in the mistaken belief that Fox News is one-sided. That is just a dumb business model. Even if you don't like Fox News, at least try to compete against them.
Facts to a liberal are like Kryptonite to Superman.
With Love from Texas,

Man, the liberals are really in a state of denial. You guys resort to calling names and spewing hatred when you can't accept the fact this IS a conservative country. In fact, the world in general is turning in a conservative direction. Even our brethren in Europe are getting fed up with your wasted political correctness. Keep barking you little Chihauhua's, the big dogs are coming back to make things right.

I don't care what liberals think of the news channel I watch. I watch fox news and like it better than other so-called news outlets. If you don't like fox, do what I do to CNN, MSNBC, ABC, et al... turn the channel. Liberal leaning news outlets have dominated the market for decades and before fox I did not watch any news on TV. I couldn't stand the victim mentality, propaganda, and sensationalism. In my opinion the liberal world-view is a depressing mind-set convincing people they can't do anything by themselves. You'd think a liberal would be 'tolerant' of other people's desire to have a news outlet that is more in-line with their personal taste. But then again I find liberals to be the most intolerant people I have ever met. You can't disagree with them on anything without them flying off the handle.

Absolutely.
And, they hate it when they can't control the message. Tsk, Tsk, libbies you can't make all the people stupid even though you have control of the public "education" system which does an obscenely poor job of babysitting, let alone doing that education part. They do a great job of spending money, however.
Liberal Idiots hate it when someone exposes their deceptions. Hence, they hate Rush, Palin, Beck and FOX News in general. And liberals, that is WHY all those are the most popular.

The +60% drop off in CNN and MSNBC ratings from a year ago is easy enough to explain...last year at this time the "news" on both networks was nothing more than non-stop Bush bashing and Obama worship.
Their programming line up remains stuck in neutral while they all wait for something, anything, positive to come out of the Dem controlled Congress and WH.
The Dems haven't offered much up to this point...and all the public opinion polls and TV ratings show it.

I find it disturbing to read the comments from both “sides” of any recent debate. The comments here, most of them, are nothing more than name calling, hateful words, aimed at attacking the commenter or person and not the subject of the article or debate.
Neither side benefits from this type of dialogue. The only one benefitting from the corrosive and useless banter is Uncle Sam. Both “sides” are guilty of this ridiculousness and have equally been brain washed into name calling and hateful comments. This has been perpetrated upon you by big government, media, and corporate. You keep shouting at each other while "they" rape our values, bank accounts, currency value, jobs, and culture.
Congratulations! You both lose. The rest of us apparently are just along for the long, slow, painful decline of a once great nation. Thanks.
Bravo! Uncle Sam is proud of all you wonderful servants they have so masterfully created. Bravo!

While popularity can make you a President it does not make you a leader. Might want to check the demo's on Fox News. Has anyone considered that the drop in ratings might have something to do with the change in the control of power in Washington? The US is a conservative country to being with, the very turn of the century began with an attack that shook that conservatism from the under the radar bottom to the visible top (what network Americans turn to since 02), and whatever leg the liberal network stood on between 02 and 08, largely because of the opposition-to-Bush niche they filled, they lost recently ( Fox gained as is only natural when the power shifts and already skeptical conservative people turn to WHOEVER is opposing those with power). There are other reasons for this recent decline, too. Fox relates to their audience better(for better or for worse), the other networks that were already anti-Bush (which may or may not expose them as liberal or objective) were faced with the coincidence of carrying the voice in power since 08; which, compounded, only made them, undeserving or deserving, caricatures of themselves (even in light of the band of brothers on Fox and Friends.) Aside from this, you have to consider the format of Fox News-- it's better because the people giving the news aren't the news (as has become popular with reporters looking to make themselves the next trusted and respected figure in broadcast journalism).

Oh, and Oprah retiring before Larry says everything else. :)

Seriously? Is this the best commentary this country has to offer? The level of intelligence on display here is truly staggering. All the name calling serves absolutely no purpose. There are plenty of facts to back up the argument that Obama is a socialist demagogue that has absolutely no fidelity to the US Constitution and deserves to be impeached on that basis alone. Then again neither do 98 percent of the people who currently occupy the three branches of this dysfunctional government. For the record, Bush needed to be impeached for that reason as well. But I digress. The point is, people are starting to realize that there is something horribly wrong. That our government has gone off the rails and we are now heading over a cliff. Those who are toeing the government line (CNN, and for God’s sake MSNBC) and parroting the drivel that we (the government)are going to make everything better are losing ratings, while those who are screaming that there is something wrong are gaining. The problem, as I see it, is that the ones who are screaming something is wrong are offering the wrong solutions. In essence most of them are only suggesting we rearrange the deck chairs on this sinking ship. What needs to happen is that we need serious people to run for office. We need those who will put the country above themselves and their ideology. We need a revolution to get back to the basics. We need people who will follow the darn Constitution! Oh who am I kidding, 90% of the people in this country have never read the Constitution, much less know what it says or means. So here is a challenge: tell everyone here where, exactly, in the Constitution the Congress derives the authority to take my property and give it to anyone in any form (to include health insurance, welfare, etc.) and you can prove you are the smartest one here. Here is a hint, the “general welfare clause” is not a clause and it is not a power of Congress. And to fully answer the question you have to prove where Congress gets the authority to do anything beyond the 18 things listed in the Constitution.

It is funny when liberals, who are supposed to have open minds, are the first to call others names and try to shout down opposing points of view rather than welcoming the debate. Fox News does have a conservative viewpoint compared to a left center to far left viewpoint from all other television news. There are many big stories that don't even get airplay in the so called mainstream press. It is a travesty. According to Gallup, 40% are conservative in America, compared to 20% liberal. If NBC, ABC, or CBS were smart, they would recognize an opportunity to raise their downward ratings spiral by becoming the only network searching for balance and truth, rather than the politically correct, filtered version that has passed for news for far too many years.

Posted by: Laurie | December 3, 2009 12:50 AM
It's both hilarious and sadly pathetic seeing so many self-deluded liberals attack both conservatives and FOX News, despite what this article had to say.
For those who AREN'T complete morons, Obama won the 2008 election by a clear majority (53%). FOX News on a daily basis gets 3-4 times the viewership of its competitors at CNN and MSNBC.
It's literally IMPOSSIBLE for FOX to get those ratings just from the viewership of Republicans!
In order to be pulling those ratings, FOX has to be getting consistent viewers from large numbers of Republicans, Independents AND Democrats every day, week and year. Meaning that a huge number of the people who VOTED FOR OBAMA are choosing FOX News over the more liberal news networks to get their information and find FOX far more reliable and trustworthy, since FOX's viewership continues to climb, while CNN and MSNBC's drop into the gutter!
Of course, most of you will ignore these obvious FACTS and simply continue to circle-jerk each other and parrot whatever the Obama W.H. feeds you. You're the same idiots who've ignored ACORN, Van Jones, ClimateGate and any OTHER major news or information that doesn't fall into your narrow-minded spheres of "thought". Blind ignorance has, sadly, become second-nature for many of you.
That's okay... the vast majority of Americans who've rejected CNN and MSNBC and are in the 80% who DON'T consider themselves "liberal" are eagerly awaiting Nov. 2010 to make our point perfectly clear to even folks as willfully ignorant and dense as you. :)

So true Michael (9:31PM), the MSM has completely ignored the climategate story, much as they did the Van Jones story, until he resigned, then they had to report it. Give me Fox anytime (and judging by their ratings a lot of others as well) over the MSM Obama toadies and Obamabots that believe everything he says. What a bunch of retarded idiots. You'd think as many of them as Obama has gotten laid off, they would be able to devote more time to Matthews, Olbermann and Maddow. Liberals are morons.

Ah yes, the liberal Democrats. The ones who say they are so tolerant of everyone, so accepting of others. Yet when someone dares to question their ideology, like Fox (remember when asking questions was patriotic, under the Bush administration?), they resort back to "if you don't agree with me, you must be retarded."
With tolerance like this, who needs hatred?

The news papers run crying to the FTC for help. Most MSM network news programs ratings can not go lower (right). May be if they were not so bias and covered all the news. And not wait for FOX or a web site to lead with a story they should have. And once the MSM does cover the story its because they are forced to. Like ACORN, Van Jones, Dodd, Murtha, Rangel, and Michael Mann. I can name more but, why as the ratings show most people already know what is going on.

I was born a long time ago, like when FDR was pres.I even remember when he passed and HST became CinC. Shoot forward to today. Truman has guts and dropped the big ones on the ENEMY. Today's version would rather sit down and talk with the enemy while dissing our friends. Fox News reports these events in a sane and fair manner. I try and watch the other channels and am amazed at what they think is important. And don't think Fox doesn't take Repubs to task when they get a little too lefty. In addition you have a number of reporters etc. at Fox that are Democrats, Shep Smith, and Greta are two that come to mind. They produce excellent programming and keep it staight, fair and balanced. The opinion shows are just that "opinions". Liberals need to do some true soul searching and work with a few facts it just might be enlightening.

Everyone calm down now... no need to get your panties in a bunch. Liberals are mad because their savior is turning into a big flub. They were complaining for years about how much Bush was spending on the war (almost $1T by the time he left) and then turned around to watch their savior spend 3.5 times that within 10 months. It's just a desperate attempt to lift their self esteem before slitting their wrists.

Fox News shouldn't be patting itself on the back too much. Liberals have a plethora of media sources that reflect their political views. Thus the liberal audience is diffuse. Conservatives have basically two: Talk radio and Fox News and so that's where the conservative audience concentrates. Fox is an island in a sea of liberal news outlets. And this is why they are so successful.

Remember Cronkite declaring Vietnam a lost cause and how that changed public opinion?
Ever heard of Dan Rathergate? Ever watch the Today Show and wonder what their angle is? Is there ANY chance that Jeffrey Immelt would allow NBC to anger Obama with billions of $$ at stake in Green tech. govt. contracts? How about ABC's White House Obamathon? How about CNN killing unfavorable coverage of Saddam Hussein in return for special access to him? Remember election 2000 where, in a climactic spasm, all of these jokers declared Gore the winner (just like Dewey defeats Truman) and potentially tainted the election before western states were done voting? Remember the NYTimes disclosing military secrets(troop movements) to hurt Bush? Delivering news has always been a BUSINESS- sometimes a dirty one, but always a product supplied for PROFIT! To expect anything more altruistic than a FREE press, with all of their faults, working for profit is misguided and dangerous(attn. Rep. Waxman). When leftist rants delivered by homely hippies get top ratings, Fox will die. No matter who delivers news, there will always be an angle. As Lincoln might say, I prefer my news with straight, shameless bias, but without the base alloy of hypocrisy.

Swamp politics, indeed. I can't think of a better name for this site, given the crudity at most of the remarks here. It's like witnessing a name calling contest between two ten-year-olds (one right, and one left) in an elementary school playground.
While you both take great pleasure at hurling verbal insults toward each other, you both remain blind to the fact that your infantile bickering is at the very root of the problem in this country.
Your ideologies have blinded you into thinking that everyone who disagrees with you is somehow stupid, uneducated, or uniformed. Quite the contrary, there are plenty of "educated" people on both sides of the argument.
However, I feel sorry for the both of you. In my day, both sides agreed on general principles, but disagreed on what we today would call nuances.
Today, the conversation has not only devolved, but degenerated to the point where if I put the two of you into a locked room, you'd actually assault one another over a difference of opinion.
I suppose my biggest fears are, in fact, true... that each new generation is less intelligent than the last. This is clearly evident by the mindless name calling by what I can only imagine is the 18-35 year-old demographic in this once great country. Ultimately, your vitriolic hatred of one another is the reason why our Republic is now doomed to fail. Enjoy your youth now, because your elder years will be consumed with strife and despair, I can assure you.

I've got some very bad news for all the academia's that went off to the Ivy League colleges and listened to proffessors brain wash them for six plus years. Most people in America don't give two squirts of piss about how brilliant or intelligent you may think you are.... Our President is the most perfect example of who you don't want to be. An intelligent, well spoken man who couldn't run a pretzel stand at the local mall if it had to make a profit. This is why unemployment is at 10.2 plus percent and rising each month. When you liberal academiacs who are anti-capitalists try to create anything outside the US Government, you starve the hard working families that lost jobs because of your policies and keep feeding the generations of those who never want them. Let us create something in America, let us build it, let your brilliant minds go to innovation like Bill Gates did, and let the hard working American people get back to work with that gift you were given. Otherwise, we dont care how smart you are !!!

The liberal media like CNN, NBC, CNBC, CBS, ABC, NYT, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, LA Times, Time and Newsweek are keeping America ignorant, uninformed and voting for liberals.

For 50 years I never understood what kind of people could happily live in a political cesspool as corrupt as Chicago. This article and these responses answered my question. Ever since the 2008 Marxist vs Socialist election, Chicagoans have spared no effort in proving that ancient Greek philosophers were correct when they opined that an immoral populous is unable to govern themselves. Such people always elect dictators and criminals to govern them. Please stop spreading your sickness to the rest of the country.

Yeah, speaking of the "climategate" scandal and the resignation of Phil Jones, the proposed senate inquiry and..oh wait, many of the "intelligent and informed" posters here wouldn't know what im talking about if they only got their news from "real" news organizations like ABC and NBC, seeing as they haven't mentioned it in their broadcasts yet...

You know, it's funny. The first amendment says "no law restricting freedom of speech". Liberals have stretched this into allowing nude magazines (not that there's anything wrong with that), and gay semi-nude pride parades (which are weird, but if that's how you want to express yourself, whatever).
Regardless, there used to be a believe in the old standby "I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
In today's world, it is okay for whack jobs like Keith Olberman to spew whatever agenda-driven half-lies he wants, but the "equal treatment" lefties have a problem with Beck doing the same thing?
Whether they are telling truth from god or lying through their teeth, our constitution (and supposedly culture) says go ahead. We sort it out. You don't see a ton of people at skinhead rallies because most people realize it's crap.
Now, if you ideologues could follow your own advice and open your minds when it comes to another point of view, you might just realize what so many of your neighbors have realized. CNN and CNBC are crap too, and that's why their audiences would barely fill a single football stadium.
If it wasn't for Fox, we wouldn't know about the VanJones's or the Acorn scandal, or the environmental email scandal. Maybe people are tuning out of those other networks and newspapers because they aren't doing their jobs in even mentioning these things as a possible issue (though they have found the time to cover Obama's dinner menu, some uninvited guests, and the whole Tiger Woods thing in great detail).
PS. Hat tip to the commenter who noticed the conservative postings jumped way up after 5pm. LOL.

Does Murdoch care what any of us think? Probably not...Those repubs are so stupid. I like the idea of the stimulus? And what the heck is wrong with having a new government? Having a blend "Communist, Marxist, Socialistm etc) in our government is my right. Higher Taxes is my right. Free health care is my right. If I want to strap my kids with a bunch of debt, it's my right. And if I want to stand out in the freezing cold and demonstrate at a conference on global warming, it's my right. And what so bad about not being able to own a gun? And what so wrong with teaching sex in schools. So what if my daughter gets knocked up, I'll just get her an abortion. It's my right. I think that it has something to do with the Bill of Rights or something like that. I remember hearing about it and the Constitution. Some piece of paper those guys wrote awhile back...

If CNN and MSNBC and the like are the "real" news stations, how come they are not covering one of the most important stories potentially effecting the survival of the human race... Climategate? They instead prefer to spend an enormous amount of their coverage on Tiger Woods and what Obama had for dinner. Now THAT'S real news coverage for ya.

Most of you who are attacking Fox don't even attempt to distinguish between their news programming and their editorial programming. Fox presents more facts in their programming (news and editorial) than the other networks. I've attempted to watch CNN, MSNBC and others but need to turn it off due to the lack of substance, and fact. Instead the inuendos followed by the smarmy wink wink or intellectual wannabe of Olberman's nonsense is too much to waste my time on. Fox isn't perfect but it sure is the best game in town. They just don't have the liberal ideology or WH talking points, like the others.
Do any of you realize by attacking Fox with these arguments you put yourselves in the top 10% of intellectually gifted in the country? Nah, maybe too much for you to absorb. Good luck with the anger thing.

Libs are now crying that Fox is winning the cable news ratings? Sorry that the so called Repubs watch Fox News over the Liberal preferred MTV and reality TV shows. Dems won in 2008 because MTV told a bunch of ignorant kids to go vote, they didn't know what they were voting for, they just heard it was cool.

I have never seen so many sophomoric comments strung together in one place in my life. If you think O'Reilly is a loud buffoon, you should spend an hour with Ed Schultz. Now, he epitomizes the idiotic, moronic left wing loon. Why is it that all of you "educated, hard working" Democrats can't see that our nation is crumbling under the massive debt we are carrying? Why do you insist that we add to that debt with health care reform that cannot work and cap and trade legislation that will put most of you hard working fools out on the street? We need to kick out all D's an R's that do nothing but spend our hard earned money on their pet projects.
Posted by: PhleetPhootPhil | December 3, 2009 4:15 AM
Fox isn't a real news outlet? Umm...so Comedy Central is? Presumably that's where all the left wingers get there news from. Try watching Fox News without sitting there with a preconcieved notion of them being a "right wing" pundit and you may just find yourself agreeing with them.
Posted by: aaron | December 3, 2009 4:16 AM
Maybe Americans are getting sick and tired of the leftwing propaganda they get on CNN and MSNBC. To get the most REAL news, one would have to read the British press. You won't get the truth in the American media. At least Fox covers the real news and does a pretty good job.

I agree with you, for the most part, oz. Both sides are corrupt and we need to focus on solving the problem, but the conservative point of view on issues doesn't require the type of deception that the liberal side does. Yes, we get tired of having to defend our logical positions, instead of taking care of business, but if we don't, we get beat like a drum. Libs follow the Hitler philosophy of repeating lies over and over, until the population believes them. We have to stand up for ourselves or we lose. There is no compromise either. We've compromised ourselves into an extremely socialist country already. We have to STOP compromising, fight each and every attempt to destroy this countries future and bring it back, for the sake of our children and grandchildren. No quarter given. We've give way too much already..

Why are ratings up for Fox and down for CNN/MSNBC? Why is there mostly conservative talk radio? It is simple - liberals do not support liberal based shows. Reality will hit them between the eyes if they take the time to really analyze the nonsense coming from liberal commentators like Chris Matthews. Liberals deal only in emotions, not facts. They love name calling, not thoughtful discussion.
Posted by: als | December 3, 2009 4:47 AM
You claim that Glenn Beck, among others at Fox, is "stirring up vitriol", and that is the reason for his success. By that reasoning, Keith Olbermann should be the top-rated show on cable, supported by the many wild-eyed liberals who are commenting here. No, Glenn Beck's ratings are high because he speaks something called truth. You all should try it sometime. It will set you free.

Just looking at the comments here show how liberalism is a mental disorder. Every excuse and insult in the book, yet no honest consideration of the issue. Time and again, studies have shown that people who listen to talk radio, and shows like Fox's Oreilly Factor are amongst the most highly educated, and highest income earning segment of the nation, yet these sheople here would have you think they were redneck bumpkins. You liberals are the modern bigots, and imbeciles.

ACORN is how Obama got in, and ACORN is how he will get thrown out. People voted against Bush because he began to do things that were unpopular with the American people. That's how he got his butt kicked. Obama was "the change" people voted for. Now America realizes this is not the change they wanted. Never mind the fact that no one will educate themselves on the background of a candidate. What we got is the result of the hatred for Bush not what is good for America. You will always have the people that expect someone else to do their work for them for what ever reason. More and more people, though, are waking up. Some people, will always choose to "sleep-in!"
Fox News is what more Americans can believe in. Polls show more people consider themselves Conservative than Liberal. That is in part why viewership is up. I would like to think the elite liberals would be smart enough to figure that out for themselves, but if they were, then I guess they wouldn't be Liberals!

During the day I can usually count on Fox to give me the stories that are breaking. At night I prefer opinions that are a bit right of center. But I have never heard anyone at Fox go nearly orgasmic as Chris Matthews. Keith Olberman gets his news straight from the Daily Kos and I am not sure why he would admit it on air. Rachel is just a bitter woman and is depressing to listen to. MSDNC is more of a mouthpiece for the Democrats than Fox could ever be for the Republicans. It paints a good picture of them when they latched on to the term "teabaggers" like a school kid that just learned a dirty word that they could say in public.
CNN used to be a decent station when they were breaking ground as a 24 hour news station. Its kind of telling when Larry King is the most energetic personality on the station.

I have to agree with the statement that northern liberals are amongst the most racist and intolerant group I've ever known. And I'm from the north and had the misfortune of attending an Ivy League School, which tend to be pervasively liberal. They always congratulate themselves on how smart they are--like those on this page here--are incapable of rational argument, compromise, or negotiation. Seeing them in action, it isn't hard to see how Mao or Hitler came to power, because they are inherently fascist and fanatical in their beliefs. It also isn't hard to understand the holocaust, because this sort of mentality only breeds hatred, fails to treat people as individuals and brands them as a class or sub-class as done on these pages here. The only thing I'll say in their defense is that they are brainwashed in college. Fortunately, for whatever reason, I missed the lecture wherein I judged a person's character by their political affiliation.....that being said, I have plenty of wonderful liberal friends who don't act this way. And because in some ways I'm liberal, I apologize to the people on this page who have had to endure insults from these allegedly "smart" or "enlightened" people. Baboons don't behave that way.....

HAA HAA - I love liberals. When facts get in the way - you spend you time calling people "idiots". Who cares that it's liberal asses, like yourself, that have NEVER EVER actually ACCOMPLISHED anything good, had the moral fiber or fortitude to stand for what is RIGHT, and since the Vietnam-era to present have done nothing but work hard to tear apart families, rip religion from the populace, push for higher taxes (redistribution of wealth) and on and on = and you actually think it's all a good thing - IRRESPECTIVE of the evidence pointing to the contrary. Ooops - here comes those damn "FACTS" getting in the way again. Grrr - oh, I know..... "yea, well.... you're just an idiot - probably a racist too!" huh??

Maybe the real answer is that Fox still practices journalism. Care to list all the news Fox carried that the other networks failed to notice - like ACORN expose, demise of the Van Jones (the resident White House commie), and now Climategate. Look at the viewership of Fox - it is as fair and balanced as their coverage. Sorry lefties, but folks are voting with their eyes and ears.

when you see a silly, 4th grade level attempt at name-play on wordsmanship, like "faux news", "Pale-in-comparison", "mccaint" and the like, you should know the comment was in FACT made by a person working INSIDE the democratic committe. They have been flooding comment sections with this crud to create the ILLUSION that republicans are on the outs.
We're not. And it's a fact that the reason FOX is on top is that it's NOT spun toward liberal noseblowers. People are fed up with hippie drivel and want REAL news. Which is WHY the watch FOX.

I assume that the liberals posting here think they are accomplishing something by attacking FNC. Perhaps they can wipe out the loss in ratings of the liberal channels this way, but I doubt it. The facts are out now. Black is no longer beautiful, Obama can get nothing done, and spending our money stimulates nothing but contempt for the Congress.

The ratings tell us Americans are waking up and realize what the main stream media has done for years. People listened for years, but we know now they do not tell the truth. Why is that? Liberals will destroy America before bending to the right just like they have on their news channels all these years. The main stream media can spend millions or billions to change their format, but their ratings won't change. The people have spoken. If you can't report the truth then your ratings will continue to plummet. It's real simple. The main stream media is 100% liberal and proved that during the presidential primaries. Americans will not be propagandized. We are a free people. There is so much corruption in Washington and the main stream media is totally silent. Why? Washington continues to waste so much money and feel they do not need to answer to the people. Why is that? Now that America is bankrupt, at war and divided, what do liberals plan to do? Do you want government assistance to bail you out? If you get it, we still won't listen. If healthcare and cap and trade is passed we will all eventually go on government asistance. Jobs are disappearing and the main stream media is not looking out for the people. Americans have worked too hard for too many years for our present healthcare system and liberals want to destroy it. Why? Our brave soldiers are fighting in Iraq and Afganistan so democrats can be liberals and republicans can be conservatives. Do we all at least owe them the truth? Look up the difference of a liberal and a conservative in the Webster Collegiate Dictionary. The main stream media bashed President Bush from his first day in office. We all know that Bush did everything within his power to assure our soldiers had everything they needed during war. We are all sick of war, but when somebody drives airplanes into our workplaces during work hours they must be stopped. When somebody is out to destroy us by cutting our heads off, burning our bodies, hanging them on bridges or mutilating them or strapping bombs on women and children to kill us they must be stopped. One ironic thing in all this is our enemy does not give a rat's a$$ if we are a liberal or a conservative. Another ironic thing is we can all have a difference of opinion, but when those differences fringe on taking our freedoms and liberties away Americans will not allow it. Now I personally feel liberals take advantage of those freedoms and liberties and try to force their agendas down our throats. For instance, conservatives do not stop gays from being gays. Even Bush allowed gays to be gays during his terms. In Iran if you publicly claim to be gay you get shot in the back of the head. American gays are liberal, but for some reason they aren't satisfied with that. American gays want every man, woman and child in the country to be gay as well. Marriage is between a a man and a woman, period. If you prefer a different lifestyle then so be it, but don't force me or our children to be raped by your lifestyle. Live with your partner and be happy, but stop wasting valuable resources to push your agenda on every living human being. That is wrong. I don't agree with your lifestyle, but conservatives do not force you to stop living your lifestyle. We will stop you from bringing it into our schools or our living rooms though. Conservatives are content with our freedoms and liberties and will fight for them. Liberals spend their energies on trying to convert everyone to their lifestyle no matter the consequences. It ain't going to happen. So while the main stream media continues to force their agenda down our throats, their ratings will continue to fall while blaming their problems on Fox News. How ridiculously liberal is that?
Posted by: justavoter | December 3, 2009 6:42 AM
GO FOX! Hopefully NBC, CNN (Communist News Network) and all those 'mainstream media' gets it. Duh!

The same thing happened when Clinton was first elected. I remember Larry King crowing that "conservatism was dead, that the Phyllis Schaflys and Rush Limbaughs would soon be gone." Rush went on to have record ratings during the Clinton years. Yes, I agree the liberals are certainly sensitive about the fact that Fox's ratings are impressive.

Both registered Republicans to boot!!!. You know what I am finding hard to accept anymore, the people who do the polls, does anyone realize that Gallup is die hard flaming liberals. They recently got into trouble with their job application process, it seems they want only sheeple working for them. Liberals, always going to the dumb hick card when they lose. Since Obama has been in office unemployment has gone way up, when he made a PROMISE that it wouldn't go above 8% (now, 10.2%), he would send the troops home (adding 30,000 more), would not allow lobbyists to the White House (lobbyists makes up the highest amount a of visitors to the White House), would promise we wouldn't have deficit spending (his deficit will reach over 12.5 trillion and he isn't out of the White House). News flash Barak Hussain Obama, is the worse President in the history of the United States, very hard to do given Jimmy Carter. You liberal morons, keep crying foul on Fox to cover up the idiot wonder that is the President (who can't even run a lemon aid stand with out running it into the ground) who will be nothing more than a one term failure. If you'll look around, you'll see that an overwhelming majority of prison inmates, lawyers, actors, Jessie, Al, the 'Reverend Wright'; college professors, high school drop-outs,low-income housing residents; gang members and fringe elements wear the Obama tee shirts and/or toe the Democratic party line.
On the other hand, an overwhelming number of medical doctors, nurses, Christians, non-academia college graduates, former and current military (patriots), and hard-working MBAs are conservatives.

Contrary to what several of the posters here would have you believe, as a fairly regular Fox viewer I am an Independent college graduate making a very decent living as a computer programmer while raising a family. I have spent quite a bit of time this past year comparing the news networks and found Fox to simply provide the more relevant, middle-of-the road news that I am interested in. Clearly the Hannity's, Beck's, Olberman's, and Maddow's of the world (throw in this mix the left and right wackos posting their ignorant rants here) are jokes. I'm referring to just straight-up national and global current events - Fox is the best. I would conclude it is simply that Fox employees are working harder, have better management, and do an all-around better job than the other networks.

Here you have your typical liberal comments. Uninformed, biased, rude and ignorant.
I'm a Democrat; I watched Olberman, Matthews, and the MSNBC line-up until they split the democrats with their visceral hate of Hillary Clinton.
I saw through the shallow "story" of Obama and decided to look around for TV commentary and news coverage. I have watched Fox since. I’m one of those defectors and I’ll never be back. I may not be a liberal, but I’m liberated from your narrow-minded hate of anyone with a different view.
Say what you want, you're only blinding yourselves. Obama won't be back next term. He is by far the worst president ever. See what you have done to this country? You gave us a shallow, worthless, celebrity -in-chief.
Posted by: Panz | December 3, 2009 7:21 AM
First of all, I can't STAND Hannity's incessent complaining, and I'm fed up with Beck's whining and moaning. Beside that point, Fox's evening programming DOES NOT CLAIM TO BE NEWS for you idiots having a hard time understanding. Just like CNN, MSNBC or CNBN, their primetime evening programming consists of opinionated shows with hosts commenting on the news of the day. Apparently Fox's critics are either too ignorant to understand that, or much worse, have formed an opinion without never watching Fox in the first place.
That being said, also I find it funny how the Dems and those of the liberal ilk use the same vitriolic, hateful approach, along with feigned indignity when speaking of anyone or anything THEY don't agree with. They point out ignorant behavior with ignorant behavior of their own. Maybe I'm wrong, but I assume they are just too ignorant or filled with hate to understand how stupid they look.

Liberals are so nice and respectful when they are upset aren't they? How quickly they turn to childish name calling and insults when they don't get what they want. Just look at their posts here. What a bunch of lunatics. Perhaps if the other news outlets actually reported the news rather than democratic talking points their ratings would improve. For example: where are the hard hitting stories about the alleged scientific fraud over global warming - if true, that is a huge huge story. Where's an in depth analysis of health care reforem? Do these other news networks have any reporters on their staffs? Granted, Fox has commentators but at least their reporters are picking up some of those stories too. WTF people?

More Liberals watch Fox than Conservatives watch CNN/MSNBC combined, why? Because they know that Fox is the most acurate news source. (Which isn't saying much since we know CNN/MSNBC just read WH press releases)

Hey guess what, both sides are not good...however, the liberal left is SOOOOOOOO far from American values--it makes it difficult to bear. We are seeing how so much of the liberal agenda is falling apart. Universal Health Care: FAIL, Climate Change: FAIL, Homosexual agendas: FAIL. (please note, I'm not necessarily anti-gay).
Liberals are looking for an excuse as to why crap is hitting the fan, but they are refusing to simply look at their body of work and agenda. THAT is what is failing them. Conservatives don't HAVE to do anything...Liberals are doing a damn good job messing it up themselves.

The reason Fox is more popular than ever is because they are exposing this fraud who:
Didn't hear any sermons for 20 years? Really?
Wasn't a close friend of Ayers
Isn't always apologizing to his Muslim brother hood for America. Yeah right
Flies a plane over NY and then makes a joke about it.

Henry Waxman's now suggesting that print media is in danger of disappearing altogether and that this trend is a threat to democracy. He's winding up to pitch some sort of TARP-style bailout I suppose.
Flash>>>
"The recently-appointed Congressional News Czar, tasked with administering the new Federal Newspaper Bailout Program, has determined after extensive stress tests that the New York Times is too big to fail while the Wall Street Journal isn't."
Thank goodness the Journal doesn't need the Fed's money.
Just out of curiosity, since the WSJ and Fox so often agree editorially, why doesn't the Journal come under similar name-calling fire from posters on this thread? Isn't the Wall Street Journal another "faux news outlet?"
Maybe liberals don't read quite as much as Katie Couric would have us believe. If they did, perhaps the spelling would be a little better on this site.
Posted by: FM | December 3, 2009 8:07 AM
Remember how the main stream media refused to cover the fact that CBS was trying to promote its own agenda with obviously forged national guard papers?
Remember how the bulk of the main stream media refused to cover the tea parties or, if they covered them, labelled those worried americans as extremists?
Remember how the main stream media refused to cover the expose films of the ACORN criminals?
Now the main stream media refuses to cover the fact that the hacked material from the primary global warming research lab has clearly shown intentional skewing and some outright lies.
Now do you know why Fox News is growing?
Posted by: Joe Breakaway | December 3, 2009 8:08 AM
To all that only watch ABC, CBS, or NBC news. Have you even heard of "Climagate" the global warming scandal? Probably not because they have not even mentioned it. To call them a news organizations is a joke. They have reported on Tiger Woods plenty. Maybe if the main stream media starts reporting NEWS again instead of Kissing Obama's butt every night their ratings will go back up.

SSeems like when the left has no argument they resort to name calling, they actually sound very childish, and immature with their responses.Using any excuse they can to show that amount of drop in the ratings as fake,retards,teabaggers,etc..shows how truley uninformed they really are
Posted by: DammitDonnie | December 3, 2009 8:16 AM
It's very sad to see people on the left resort to name calling and insults instead of engaging in any kind of intelligent discourse. No, conservatives aren't uneducated or idiots. We are people who believe that self reliance and independence will get us much further and be better for the country than the socialist policies of the left. The left creates dependence and their policies keep people in a state of poverty. You need to look no further than the woman looking for "Obama money" who gets it from "his stash" to realize how uninformed and uneducated many of the voters are. These are people who have been brought up in a system of dependence and can't stand on their own two feet.
Fox happens to be the only channel where the right and left are both presented. I don't see that on any other network. They're also the only ones who break stories that the left doesn't wish to report. That's why I rely on them above all others.
But I do check the other networks out as well. Fox is simply the most well rounded.

It's amazing how liberals are their own worst enemy. Hypocritical by definition...even when their Savior is in office and spending money like there's no tomorrow. Liberals, instead of celebrating their success, turn to name-calling. Suspend reality. Nevermind the ratings collapse of liberal networks. "Those Fox watchers must be morons! " Really? Don't you find it interesting that you feel such inner hatred? It's quite sad for liberals that even when they win, they lose. And, with such self-shame and hatred, ultimately their fate is sealed. Liberals can't stand to win. It requirese responsibility. Success to a liberal mind requires absolute meltdown and self-defeating behavior. Victimhood is the strategy. There is an alternative guys...a universe where you it's okay to win, and be happy about yourself. Morons? Okay, then, I'd rather join some morons with self-esteem any day.

For all the Fox haters, I'll give you a great example of why I watch Fox. Years ago, a report was released that said over 50,000 Iraqi civilians were killed during the war. I first saw this story reported on CNN, and the reporter provided details as a voiceover while video of US troops in combat was shown. The implication was that US troops had killed these civilians. Given all the money and effort we've expended to protect civilians, and knowing the character of our troops, I found that hard to believe. I then saw the story on MSNBC, and the same tactic (voiceover and video of US troops) was used. I then saw the story on Fox, Brit Hume provided the exact same details as CNN and MSNBC provided, but without the video of US troops. Then came the kicker... he also said that the report went on to say that these civilian casualties were mostly caused by Iraqi troops using them as human shields, or indiscriminate fire from Iraqi forces. In short, the casualties were caused by Iraqi forces, not US. This little tidbit was never mentioned by CNN or MSNBC. So these "honest news networks" did some selective editing of the facts and used video to drive an agenda, and Fox was the only channel that provided ALL the facts, as they usually do. I've been a loyal Fox watcher ever since.
Posted by: Bruce | December 3, 2009 8:24 AM
Its not hard to figure out; MSNBC aka MSLBGT and CNN and NBC and CBS are all the same liberal stories and views they split 50% of the viewers and FOX gets the vast majority of independents because they actually report the news and let you decide. Mind numb robots on MSNBC. We can only hope Overbite Maddowww and Softballer get fired by comcast soon. Then maybe ratings will go up. CNBC enjoys good ratings why should MSNBC when they get balanced reporters.

It is funny that the Dems on hear yell about how the people who watch Fox are all jobless.
Seems the Dems are doing too many drugs as the Dems are the Welfare Recipients, Illegals, Dead People, Union Members who do not know how to work and drive their companies out of business and then those that hold public jobs.
The Dems are the ones who fight to get mortgages for those who cannot afford them.
Fox is the only one who actually reports both sides of the story even if the other side is all hoplessness and give me something for nothing and let the rich pay for it.

Laughingatyou, you ask:
Are you seriously suggesting that 80% of Americans are idiots and that you guys are the only ones with any brains? The answer is yes, that is what the liberals are suggesting. They don't call them "liberal elitists" for nothing! The liberals in my own family are as arrogant as can be . . . and everyone is a victim and everyone is shown charity (of course, with someone else's money) except for us hard-working conservatives who are footing the bill for all of their so-called enabling charity. And oh, don't forget, they are so open-minded . . . except when it comes to conservative principles that actually work (forget that their's don't, but let's not forget that their intentions are good). I've heard it all, which is why, in part, I am a conservative. The other part has to do with the fact that conservatism works--always has since the founding of this country, and always will. Even if you don't believe in biblical principles, or God's law, there are still the natural laws of human nature that no one can change!
Posted by: DanaDee | December 3, 2009 8:29 AM
Considering that conservatives as an ideological group has increased exponentially since Obama took office and everyone saw what a true liberal looks like, I do not see this trend ending soon.
Whle some of the opinion (and it is labeled as such) commentators lean to the right, FOX reports news that Americans need to know, and the other news outlets won't touch.

You can easily identify silly little leftists. They foam at the mouth, their eyes roll back into their heads, and they start lashing out in all directions like a dog with rabies when confronted with reality. Truth to a liberal is like sunlight to a vampire.
Since FOX news reports the unvannished truth without liberal spin, it makes lefties heads explode.
You liberals need to take it slow and easy. Get used to the honest, hard working, conservative silent majority in America. They are tired of entitlement fools spending their hard earned tax money on grand social experiments. Expect them to become more vocal until this disastrous experiment in the White House and his left wing communist cronies are removed from power.

For those who voted OB into office.
I need approx $100,000.00. Would you like to send to me now or would you rather wait until we get ANOTHER tax? I want to be able to sit home and do nothing with all that free cable and have the Gov't take care of me. Also, I will need to have that same 100k every year. Don't forget my COA! I know you don't mind sharing the wealth and taking care of me. Go ahead and send it now. You will be my enabler. I will go ahead and quit my job when you send it. I also love the Idea that you want this healthcare to. But thank god i won't have to pay for it. Since I don't have any taxable income now, It will be so nice! Also, I hear some of the companies are now going out of business because they are going to pass Cap and Tax. Guess you better get a second job somewhere to help pay for them too.
Just so you know, I work for a company that supplies parts to several big electrical companies. When the C&T bill goes thru, I have been told we will loose our contracts. We will be laid off the next day. Way to go OB! You brought me change as promised! I have 5 children. Now you want the people of America to live off welfare? Thanks!

The percentage of voters affiliated with either political party is very low. The independents like us wanted change and so far it has been worse. Yes, we watched Lou Dobbs and we will follow him to his next gig. Why? Because he tells us that things are getting worse and the reasons. It has to do with what we thought we wanted and what we really ended up with.

Just as cancer goes through stages, and if you catch it quickly enough a cure is possible, the same is true for liberalism. It usually starts early in life, usually due to traumatic events in childhood that make the confrontation of reality painful. This generally causes the child to drift toward a fantasy world where he is taught to operate on emotions, not logic, reason, and common sense. He is then introduced to wonderfully soft and fuzzy ideas such as “moral relativism”, “social equality”, “diversity”, “multi-culturalism”, and “political correctness”. These concepts are then reinforced in schools, colleges and universities where left wing professors who couldn’t hold a real job spout radical ideas learned from their intellectual heroes such as Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Hitler and more recent heroes such as Kim Jung-il, Castro, and one of Obama’s favorites, his fist-bumping, book swapping buddy Chavez.
Later stages of this affliction are identified by ideas that are further divorced from reality such as one of Obama’s favorites “redistribution of wealth” and one of Al Gore’s favorites “global warming” or “global cooling” or “climate change” or whatever the latest name is for one of the most absurd scams in the history of the world.
For those in the latter stages of this debilitating mental disease, a complete cure has a low probability of success. One may hope for remission, however, if he gets plenty of fresh air and sunshine, exercises sensibly, follows a strict diet of logic, reason, and common sense, and avoids consuming carcinogenic substances such as touchy-feely liberal platitudes spouted by his leftist heroes such as Obama, and mind altering drugs such as marijuana or crack cocaine.

Fox is certainly NOT republican. It is middle of the road populist. Populist is what the 2006 and 2008 elections were about and it is what it will be about in 2010 and 2012. The democrats saw that wave coming and rode it when the republicans did not. Who rides the next wave may be either of those parties, or perhaps, with any luck, a third or fourth party not locked out by the other two. The Fox news is not biased like the leftist network news. and the Fox commentary is populist and middle of the road. Liberals cannot get this. By the way, I DO watch all news venues, have two masters degrees and a doctorate and am employed and do not live in a trailer... so perhaps, for you liberal ideologues, I am not the "average" Fox viewer...
Posted by: Bob | December 3, 2009 8:52 AM
All I watch now is Fox. Its the only network that is investigating this presidency. It has a center-right bias but I can deal with that but at least it is reporting the news and is the only network that is not just playing the lapdog for the Obama administration. The other networks don't even report the news if it is unfavorable to Obama or the Democratic left. If you only listened to CNN, ABC, MSNBC or CBS you would not even be aware of much of the news.

Maybe Rick is utterly clueless or just completely stupid to realize just how idiotic HE sounds. Making this among many other pathetically sounding comments, displays for the whole world to see just who is filled with hate and is the ignorant one. People like him and Jilly making the first comment are, fortunately in the minority.
They, along with others, viciously attack those who have a difference of opinion as obviously 'being so stupid' simply for disagreeing with them. It's called ad hominem attack; attack the person and thus their arguement is invalid. Their word prove they are pathetic, ignorant losers who are clueless where the majority of Americans are. Perhaps they want anyone who disagrees with them put into "re-education camps" in order to 'improve' their ability to think. They were very popular in Stalin's (and Castro's) communist countries.

Americans don't want fair and balanced news. Instead, they want a point of view consitent with what they are thinking. What troubles the left is that Fox's ratings are up while the ratings of the liberal networks and their president are down. This indicates a shift away from their way of thinking. A debate of which network provides the best news is meaningless. People who want news and analysis don't watch TV.

Right On John D.!! It's funny how Fox was never a "fake" news organization or just an "entertainment" show until the Obama administration said so. Now all of a sudden all the libs are echoing the same mantra. Their transparency is comical. Obama pours it, and they drink it up!!! Try thinking for yourself once in a while Libs, and step back and see how Obama is destroying our country. Bush made some serious mistakes, but they pale in comparison to the bankrupting of America that Obama is pursuing. Not to mention the fraud and corruption that will come to light from his so-called "stimulus" package.

HHH, as someone who lives in Dem central (Taxachusetts), I admire the way Texas is one of the few states that is not nearing bankruptcy.... MA and CA are about to go under because of all the liberal entitlements. If the country was more like Texas than here, we'd be in much better shape right now.

I always thought the success of FoxNews was the ability to hire good looking, well educated, ladies with great legs. Who are very very smart. Some folks just feel the need to belittle success with no knowledge of the facts.
When MSNBC an CNN stops blaming President Bush for everything, an get off the President Obama band wagon an start doing their jobs, they to will have ratings increase.

Here's a question for my fellow liberals. Why didn't the networks report on the ACORN scandal weeks after it came out and why haven't they reported on the Global Warming Hoax yet? If they are a reputable news network with no bias then I think the public has a right to know.

Posted by: Donald Iarussi MFA | December 3, 2009 9:55 AM
Fow news is popular with conservatives, that's why it is climbing in ratings whilst CNN and the liberal big 3 networks continue their declines. This is a center right country that was fooled by an ultra leftist masquerading as a centrist as aided and abetted by the very media outlets that are in their declines. Why the decline? No one trusts them anymore to be objective! The MSM dropped all pretense of objectivity to get an unqualified extremist of dubious citizenship elected to the highest office in the world, and America is waking up to that fact. They played the public for rubes, and the public will not trust them anymore. Conservatives were right on every count with the obamanation so far, and the public appreciates honesty. You frothing-at-the-mouth libs should enjoy the last few months you have controlling all branches of the federal government. Come 2010, you will find yourselves in the same position you were in during the route of 1994, and probably in total minority for the foreseeable future.

Posted by: Avitar | December 3, 2009 9:59 AM
It's always the same ploy...if you can't argue with the facts then you start the name calling. Fox is beating the competition because more people trust what they say. It's as simple as that, they don't tell us what to believe but rather shows the argument from both points of view and we make our own decision. We may not always agree with the commentator but we continue to watch because they aren't attempting to ram their opinion down our throat. MSBC on the other hand is constantly bashing anyone with an opposing view, that's a real turnoff regardless of the subject matter. Another big reason for Fox's success is the fact that they report news that the others ignore such as ACORN and Van Jones. Fox covered these over a week before the other channels would so, regardless of a where you stood, if you wanted to here about it then you had to tune in Fox. In a sense, the other News outlets actually helped Fox by their negligence.

He's bankrupting this nation on purpose so that he can say "WE ARE IN A FINANCIAL CRISIS AND WE HAVE TO TAKE OVER THE NATION AND DICTATE WHAT AMERICANS CAN DO AND WHAT THEY CAN OWN!" Let me tell you Liberals something... you are the minority party! The majority party, 'Conservatives,' will make sure that this so-called POTUS will be out of a job before he can damage our nation. And I'm not talking about violence (unlike your kind - there's always arrests at your protests)... we will remove him the proper way!

Yo Libs! Why all the name calling? Fox is winning the ratings race because they are giving people what they want in entertainment. ENTERTAINMENT!!! One thing you can't understand there is a difference between "entertainment" on the Fox News Channel, and "news" on the Fox News Channel. Durning the day they run news, at night starting with Beck the entertainment starts. It is the same way on CNN, HN, and MSNBC. The night schedule has opinion. The day schedule has news...Fox leaning right, the others leaning left...plain and simple. At this time Fox is leading that race, just weeks short of 8 years. It started with beating the weakest link MSNBC, they eventually beat CNN, and now they beat ALL three combined. ALL...COMBINED. It is time to stop the name calling and take Fox seriously.
Posted by: Sticks and Stones | December 3, 2009 10:22 AM
Of course the liberals call Fox the republican news channel. Its not because they are for Republican party though, it is because they aren't for the Dem party. If you aren't for the Dems then you must be for the Rep. thats the way the Dems think because they have every other channel. If Fox were truly in it for the Rep. party, they wouldn't have been the ones that broke the story of W's dui right before the 2000 election. In contrast, MSNBC, CBS.CNN, ABC, NBC, and all the others would die for the dems. Dan Rather is a good example, he had a suspect story and refuses to back down and say that it is false. Dan R. still says he believes the story about Bush even though the doc. was proven fake. Why didn't Bush say that all those "news agencies" were arm of Dem. party? I know, because he has respect for the office and will not lower it by doing so. Obama on the other hand has no problem lowering the office. Obama's going on Letterman and having a party that looks more like a movie premium in Hollywood lowers the office below basement level. Obama is doing nothing to project strength to our enemies and a preception of weakness will inevitably lead to a far larger war than the one we are currently engaged in.

Roxanne : "How idiotic most of these postings seem. Keep fighting among yourselves, left and right, while the Politicians on both sides lie, steal and get rich. That is exactly what they want you to do. If you ever got together, the country could be a great place. Just maybe Politicians would be forced to be honest."
A nice sentiment. I will agree that for most politicians, it is all about themselves, after all , it is a 'career' for them, unlike being a service for the country that our founding fathers invisioned. But beyond even that, the left and right are diametrically appossed as to the true function of government. One side thinks that only government can solve society's ills, while the other feels that hyper-government creates many of society's ills. These two positions are unreconcilable.
Beyond this , anta's comment comes closest to hitting nail on the head. Most people want to hear their own views spouted, and tend to villify the 'other' side. Must suck to be a leftist and see your side getting creamed in the ratings, but no worry, they will try to have the GOVERNMENT step in a make things 'fair and balanced' for us with their 'fairness doctrine'.

It's really funny how bigoted and narrow-minded liberals are. I never realized it till recently. Especially the ones on this page. Any study of history and geology reveals climate change as a fact have little to do with human existence. I could be persuaded but when I ask questions a liberals typical reaction is to shout me down or call me names. Now, if you're trying to persuade this independent, and I can be reasoned with, that's not the way. As with everything else I've come to believe that global warming is a giant scam to get me to voluntarily be taxed into oblivion. Furthermore, liberals use the money to pay-off their supporters (so-called scientists). Frankly they should be put in jail for extortion. But hey, I'm just a stupid college educated, hard-working tea-bagger who has never taken a dime from anybody I didn't pay back....way to go lib.s I used to be one of ya......

Primarily because there are fewer and fewer people like you with their heads in the sand hopelessly clinging to the old, corrupt media to validate failed ideological principles. As Hillary sad, Fox News was the most fair during the '08 campaign. So you have fun with Matthews, Obermann, DailyKos and the rest of the Politburo. But you’re going to be mighty lonely.
Posted by: Brian | December 3, 2009 10:38 AM
May I attempt to simplify all this with my 2 cents worth here? Whether these news outlets operate with a bias or not, can anyone here cite an example of a successful socialist or communist government in recorded history? A government cannot pay a person a single dime without first taxing (taking/redistributing) it from someone else. It delivers no product, creates no product, and like all power structures it will always try to grow beyond its means given human nature. The real backbone of an economy are the risk takers, innovators, etc who create real wealth and and long as we maintain a transfer and balance of power consistently we'll be all right in the long run. Think about it, what other nation in history began the transfer of power without bloodshed as a model? What other nation, when it kicks ass (think Japan, Germany) goes right back in and rebuilds that country WITHOUT taking it over? If it wasn't for us all the oil producing nations would now have been Soveit satellites or under a German umbrella.

Liberals are just a bunch of suckers, which is why they fall for all that MSNBC/CNN/ABC and "Yes we can" nonsense. A Liberal should look up the definition of "liberal" in the 1932 Webster's dictionary (I am going out on a limb here by assuming liberals can find the word in a dictionary).... Oh my gosh, that is hilarious - just think about who the Democratic base is. Union members who do what they are told, with the hope of earning more than they deserve. As with most discussion involving their self-absorbed ideaology with anyone having opposing views, and after all intelligent arguement has been exhausted, liberals resort to the one thing they know best: vitriol and personal attacks as demonstrated once again in this thread. Allow me to demonstrate an example. Using the logic of some of the left wing nut-jobs above that FOX viewers are fat, dumb and lazy (I'll assume they include themselves as they obviously know enough about FOX to claim subject matter expertise,) how then does one explain the mindset of an electorate that voted into office, the most far-left, inexperienced radical ever to claim the presidency of the United States of America? Can they all be fat, dumb and lazy themselves - not to mention all under the influence of kool-aid? See? It works both ways. Now then, back to the business at hand: Go FOX!

Fox invites pundits from both sides and lets both present their point of view. Hannity is a clear republican and has to be taken with a grain of salt. However, I've tuned into MSNBC on a number of occasions to get "the other side" and find that Matthews, Olbermann and Maddow are clearly liberals who disdain anyone on the right. In fact, I swear Maddow is actually Olbermann in drag sometimes. She makes me want to puke even more than he does.

They are just envyous of the Fox success. When they are going down the tubes, and their jobs are on the line, watch the libs get even meaner. Now they want to steal tax payer money to prop up their lame stream media outlets, because of the awful content that people are fleeing from. Lib news monopoly is over and they dont like it.

Like Pavlov's dogs, if you want to get the left wing loons to react, just say something good about Sarah Palin or Fox.

Let’s dispel the myth that having an education in and of itself is anything productive. The major fault with the liberal mind is that they believe if you have achieved a high level of education then you have been productive. O.K. I get it, you did what Mommy and Daddy said you needed to do and got good grades in college and so you deserve respect and a job that pays well. Well, Mommy and Daddy were right when you were a child. Now grow up and recognize that your worth is not in your education but in your productivity.
Liberals believe what you say, write, or think is worth something. In the real world, so often referenced here, it’s about what you actually accomplish.

I love watching the Lamestream Media 's audience shrink and dwindle. And I love reading the ignorant comments on this thread--they are completely related. The Lamestream Media, like these libtard posters, continually insults anyone who isn't a radical Marxist wannabe-thief, so those who are insulted just turn them off and turn to Fox. They keep insulting, they keep losing. When is the New York Times going to go out of business? Newsweek lays off more reporters every month.
Don't get the message, Lamestream. Don't learn from your mistakes. Just go out of business.

Enjoy control of the Gov't libtards because it is curtains for you in 2012. Those of us with jobs footing the bill for Odumbo's schemes for the real slobs in the Country will be voting your sorry asses out just like we did in 1994. The Country is broke the libtards annswer is to accelerate spending for more Fed projects. So much for being "educated".

It is interesting to see the attacks on people who watch Fox. I am not sure what they hope to do by calling people dopey and such. People want hard news and Fox's Brett Baire and their Round Table are the best news reporting anywhere.
Take a look at NPR on Wed. The network does a story on Down's Syndrome kids and parents and makes absolutely no mention at all of Sarah & Todd Palin's son Trig. Trig probably only merits a passing mention, but having nothing at all in NPR story gets to the heart of the problem these other networks are facing.

libtard socialist hatefilled liberals can't stand fox news, because it is the only news source that reported the objective stories of ACORN corruption & scandal, climategate, Obama's communist czars. Libtard braindead pot-smoking worthless liberals can't stand truth, and instead they embrace hate and lies
Posted by: Arthur | December 3, 2009 11:21 AM
How can you guys make all these anti-Fox comments when it's obvious you never WATCH it? Would it be wrong to think of you as tools for media matters, not doing your own independant research and forming your OWN opinion? If you have watched Fox for a few hours a week and still feel this way, then that's a fair opinion to me. I used to believe Howard Stern when he said Limbaugh was a big, fat blowhard, etc... and then I listened for myself and found Stern to be the stupid, skinny, degenerate, loudmouth when compared to Limbaugh.

Instead of yelling of fetid results conducted by a rating system that has surveyed viewers for decades only to be accepted by those when it suits them, and using expletives, try creating some critical thinking skills, divergent to being sold on politicians with the use of free-giveaways such as t-shirts, and bumper stickers. Each one of you with the abovementioned unconstructive thought progression that has impeached their own credibility - much like your “lib”- erators of Olbermann, Mathews, Huffington, Soros, and Obama!
Posted by: Mid_East_Vet | December 3, 2009 11:25 AM
You know what I love about liberals? They cant take part in an argument without getting personal. Its always "republicans are stupid, dont have jobs, are slobs, are racist" wah wah wah. Do as all a favor and get actual arguments...no ones interested in your 5th grade banter.
Posted by: Maggie | December 3, 2009 11:26 AM
You libs are already sore over what's coming in 2010 and 2012. Sure, blame Fox news and GW Bush. Perhaps people are just starting to wake up to the BS that CNN (Clinton News Network), NBC, and MS(LSD) are dishing out. I thought Hillary said opposition is the greatest form of patriotism ----I guess she forgot to mention that is as long as your a liberal that agrees with the democrats at the NY slimes (times) and News(less) networks. You drones just keep blaming Bush and believing your global warming garbage because we know the truth will prevail --- As Fox continues to GROW!

I think it's so funny to see all the obvious liberals on this blog bashing Fox News, Repuglicans.... anyone who doesn't walk in lock-step with Obama.
It's especially hilarious to hear them state matter-of-factly that Fox is not a real news outlet; while saying NOTHING about the majority liberal meda slanting and spinning every story they decide to report upon.
At least Fox News has people (even Bill O'Reilly) who do occasionally agree with some of what Obama's doing. You can't say that about MSNBC's Keith Olbermann's commentary of George Bush.
Posted by: Red in Denver | December 3, 2009 11:28 AM
Hmmm! Seems to me that there a lot of left-leaning haters here. Wow! Your guy Obama is exposing himself for the light weight that he is, and you are all in a tither over Fox News. Surely you have heard that all the studies done regarding education levels of television viewers and radio listeners demonstrate a much higher education level amongst conservatives than liberals. It is simply a fact, or as you like to say, an inconvenient truth. Young liberals who acquire a decent education grow into conservatives. Young liberals who lack critical thinking skills grow into discontented miscreants, who, rather than add value by reasoned discourse, believe it a virtue to berate those with whom they disagree. I would express a more liberal position were it not for the simple fact that to do so would mean aligning myself with liberals who are for the most part haters. To suggest that the majority of Americans are stupid, sitting in front of the television, notepad in hand, is evidence of the ignorance you so clearly possess. The American public is not so ignorant as all of you here would like to suppose. So keep watching CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC and keep listening to Al Franken. By doing so you can reinforce the hatered you so desperately require to make it through your day.

You can always judge the success of how something or someone is by how much the liberal media and far left wackos on these blogs hate them. That's why I love Fox News and Sarah Palin. Liberals hate them more than driving to an NRA convention in an SUV to see President Bush and Dick Cheney speak on how great the USA is. Oh the liberal horror! lol
Posted by: LovingTheUSA | December 3, 2009 11:28 AM
Wow. I thought we were going to be united by this president. The Feds are a lost cause. One half of our population has figured out how to take from the other half. My country is no longer first before my family. I've got my "change" and I'm moving on without you. Good luck to you. My families generosity will only be given to people I know and love.

Liberals are hard working? Are you kidding me? Have you seen the city folk lately? Republicans own and or operate business while libtards try to tear it down. Get a life libtards and enjoy your victories from '06 and '08. You start going down in '10.FOX NEWS RULES!

The fact that this blog is totally infested with mentally disturbed liberals is not surprising since “The Swamp” caters to the Chicago lower class that helped elect this “obamination”. They are so totally in the tank for this fraud that they will continue to drink the kool-aid and remain faithful until the bitter end.
It is fruitless for intelligent folks to engage these people in an honest debate since their “mind” is already made up.
For those true Americans who do not believe in enslaving people in the ghetto through social experiments, government handouts, and corrupt, incompetent school systems, there is still hope.

You Lost, Get Over It - Nope pally you're wrong. Obama carried the election for exactly the opposite of what you emit. They were sold on a superb orator (reader), nothing more, and nothing less. They were sold on charisma, not the content or political aptitude of the voting base.
Being from the North, having a full set of teeth, and two collegiate degrees - I guess I have broken from the stereotype that you and your party of "tolerance" exhibit on these boards relentlessly. You have sided with the party of hate, and stereotypes. It is the left that continuously uses the race card. Every unconstructive avowal that that you have bought into these forums about Conservatives/Republicans is actually a reflection of you; the undereducated leftists. It will be a real cold day in metaphorical hell before the Democrats will EVER carry a vote as you did in 2008.
Take a look in the mirror - you may just really see what the rest of us with commonsensical minds see - then again, you lefties try to "will" everything in your direction that fits into your own ideology!

What a separation from turth and fiction as the socialist cry foul that no one is watching Pravda anymore. Pretty colors, simple format, please, what a joke to anyone with half a thought to reason. I personally like to watch MSNBC as they burn and crash.

I'm bewildered by this never ending debate over Fox News. Rupert Murdoch has openly admitted Fox News presses a conservative view and considers itself a guardian against liberal media agendas. They believe they are a lone conservative voice in a vast liberal wilderness, and to a large extent it's true. This explains the ratings dominance. Conservatives believe they only have one trusted outlet for their news and information, so the vast majority will only watch Fox News. Liberals, moderates, and those who are indifferent to partisan viewpoints get their news and information from a multitude of sources. It's impossible for MSNBC and CNN to beat Fox in the ratings because they have a much more splintered audience.
I don't watch much Fox News but I'm glad they are there (I prefer to get the conservative viewpoint from less fanatical sources). We can't have too many watchdogs and it's up to the individual viewer to sift through the distortion and determine what they believe and don't believe. I know it frustrates the left that so many low information voters get their opinions exclusively from Fox News and do not seek to challenge their intellect with divergent opinion, but that is the nature of politics. It's no different than people getting all their information from Keith Olberman or other liberal outlets. People simply don't like finding out the things they have been taught since childhood aren't always true or as simple as they believed. And the older we get, the more selfish and over protective we become about our personal interests and beliefs. But not to worry; as the demographics of the USA continue to trend towards a white minority, Fox News and it's ilk will be marginalized further and further until it's more extreme elements are extinct. White Christians have had their turn running the empire - it's time for some new blood

Are you kidding me? The folks who live off the government teet are ALL Democrats! That is their voting base!! The DNC caters to that base and makes promises to give them everything and take care of all their woes. Republicans are those that want to take care of themselves and want the government to remember that they work for us, not the other way around. Now, see? You can have an opinion without name calling! Although the frightened liberals don't know any other way to argue. Distraction by name calling is the name of the game for them. Now liberals, go back to watching your messiah on MSNBC. If you can pull yourself away from ""Jerry Springer"
Posted by: Sam | December 3, 2009 11:46 AM
poor liberal socialist communist democrats are souring on their own messiah. barry made you promises and threw you under the bus. accept that your boy is incapable and start thinking of your country and the wellbeing of your family. but first you need to apologize for putting Americans at risk for the sake of socialism at the hands of someone who does not deserve to lead our country.

10-1 in favor of liberal posts. You can tell by all of the name calling and childish insults and trying to insult someone who had a typo with an "h" tagged onto the word. Typical liberal venom and hatred. You will see how tired the people are of your politics next November. You will be getting the message very soon.

Maybe if CNN worried more about the news rather then how hip and cool they can be on twitter, facebook & youtube. they could compete with fox.
Once CNN starting relying on twitter as a reliable news source I figured they were done.
Posted by: Jim | December 3, 2009 11:56 AM
Problem is all news agencies are biased.. Fox is just as real as any of the others, they just present a more right side of the isle view than the others that are left side.

OK I only read a couple of the first comments on here but I had to respond. "Faux News"
O wow that has got to be the funniest oh I never heard that.
OK, secondly put up or SHUT THE F UP. I swear, half the time I defend complete the net with no intrusion or rules because it allows for people to say openly what they want. But the ignorance of the posters on here make me shudder. I'm not saying your opinion is wrong, that's why we (debate) such things. No, it is your lacking abilities to debate that is killing me. All that you collectivley seem to be able to do is call names and inject a feeling without backing it with any rational thought to back it up. Well piss on the lot of ya. I'm done with this childish crap.

The majority of viewers are educated conservatives and don't want to watch liberal TV like CNN and MSNBC. The Democratic base are blacks, youth, unions and leftwing activists and basically lower educated. These people don't watch informative TV and why liberal networks are suffering and why FOX is very popular.

Funny how the Liberals can only toss insults in the defense of their defenseless ideology.
It is always the same MO for Liberals kill the messenger because you can’t argue the facts.
Boy you must be tired of being wrong all the time.
Lets see Climategate, Tax & Spend to prosperity, Obama care will save money.
Release criminals early they are cured and of course don’t label them.
Liberals the last defenders of the non-working class.

WOW! I have never read so much party-line hyperbole in my life! When are you going to realize that neither party has any solutions and only want to control your thought and continue to have you buy into the brain-washing of capitalism and consumerism to keep you buying debt and paying taxes to the very rogues who claim to represent you? Left or right, your political allegiance to party and refusal to open your mind to objective debate is laughable and America is paying the price for your ignorance, whether through a lack of true education where you learn how to think, or through an elitist Ivy-league education which only teaches you how to think like everyone else so you can continue the legacy of greed and corruption that plagues both D.C. and Wall Street. All you Liberals and Conservatives are cut from the same cloth, one and the same, like pee's in a pod. The problem with this country is that everybody wants to be on the winning team, no matter how bad the team is they still back them because it gives them a sense of belonging, a purpose. Wake up and realize that both sides have performed poorly, and need to be removed. the Democrats are no longer Democrats they have transformed into a Socialist party, and the Republicans are turning into the Democrats of old. You should all cherish the fact that there are news outlets like Fox that will call out the current regime on their short comings, and should also be happy that there were also a great many other news organizations that were more then willing to call out the old regime. People wake up and see that the government is not our friend, they are suppose to be our servants, they are suppose to work for us not us for them. As for who is the more educated party, and who makes up the harder working party, do some research before posting your feelings as facts.

The left vs. right paradigm is a LIE and a distraction. The true paradigm is Good vs. Evil. Fox News is owned and controlled by NWO Elitists just as CNN and MSNC are! They give you two false paradigms to keep you bickering while they TAKE OVER THE WORLD! Wake Up. Lenin said the best way to contol the opposition is to lead it. Hence, they give you a stooge such as Glen Beck who feeds you 75% truth and 25% PROPAGANDA. It only takes 1% of arsenic in 99% food to kill you!. Jesus Christ is the only One who can save anyone. Not a Republocrat, not a Democan, not a Ron Paul, etc. They are all bought and paid for by their Freemasonic masters who give them a particular horn to toot to keep you stirred up in the falacy that THEY are actually working for t
