Rep. Dennis Kucinich, a Democrat who has been critical of the president's healthcare plans for not going far enough, announced today that he will vote for the House's final bill -- offering House leaders their first flip from a no-vote to yes as a close vote nears this week.

The Ohio congressman, who voted against the healthcare bill that the House passed in November, complained that it contained no "public option'' as an alternative to private health insurance coverage. He is among a handful of Democrats whom House leaders are attempting to win on the imminent second, and perhaps final, vote on healthcare.

"Some have speculated that I may be, this time, in the position of casting a deciding vote,'' he said at a Capitol Hill news conference this morning. "The vote on the final healthcare bill will be close... I take this vote with the utmost seriousness.... I know that I have to make a decision, not on the bill as I would like to see it, but as it is...

"I have doubts about the bill,'' he said. "This is not the bill I wanted to support.... However, after careful discussions with President Obama, (House) Speaker (Nancy) Pelosi'' and his family, he said, "I have decided to cast a vote in favor of the legislation....''

Kucinich traveled with Obama aboard Air Force One this week to the president's appearance at a campaign-styled pitch in Ohio for the healthcare legislation which the House is near approving, if leaders can hold a razor-thin vote.

The president, asked about the congressman's announcement today, called it "a good sign.'' Asked during brief questions in the Oval Office what he had said to Kucinich, Obama said: "I told him thank you."

"I believe healthcare is a civil right,'' Kucinich said today. "I've spent my life struggling for the rights of working-class people and for healthcare.''

Kucinich, who lived in 21 places by the time he was 17 -- "including a couple of cars'' -- cited his own struggle with Crohn's Disease and how he had learned the benefits of taking charge of his own health. He also has benefitted from the best healthcare lately.

"There are those who believe that healthcare is a privilege, based on the ability of those who can pay,'' he said -- calling this "the model'' which President Barack Obama is presenting with his plan to insure 30 million more Americans. And there are those who believe, as he does, he said, that it is a basic right.

Pelosi (D-Calif.) will need 216 votes to win passage of the healthcare bill - and if all sitting members who voted yes on the first measure vote yes again this week she will have that vote.

However, among 15 Democrats who voted yes on the first vote, leaders are concerned about losing a handful on the second vote, nine of those abortion-related,

And among the 37 currently seated Democrats who voted no on the first round, there is a targeted of 16 who are publicly undecided and whom Pelosi hopes to flip to yes votes. Kucinich was among them.

Who knew Dennis the Menace was so darn cheap? All it took was a little joyride on Air Force One!
Dennis was a horrible mayor for Cleveland and he's been a terrible congressman. What new?

Yes, Kucinich is correct, healthcare should be a civil right in the country, along with food, housing, and education. given those 4 basic rights, everyone would be given a fair chanvce to fail or fluorish, depending upon their determination and their perserveirence.

This will be the first of many of the lib dems that come home to sign the bill, after making their point that this bill has been a compromise starting with the first draft.

Oh what a airplane ride that must have been!. Nobama got off cheap when he bought Kucinichs' vote.
They keep bringing up individual cases of people who have fallen on hard times, and I have news for this administration there's millions of people without jobs in America. How in the world do these people afford any type of healthcare?. We are a caring nation, and that will not change, but force feeding your stupid plan on the American people is just your way of saying your way or the highway. Mark my words you and your lapdogs are going to pay a very heavy price for your Arrogance!.

Well there goes another representative ending their career. Not bad enough that as mayor of Cleveland he almost destroyed that city and now he's trying to take it to a national level.

crooks, when were Cleveland's good ol' days? Or for that fact, any city in the rust belt? *I'll give you a hint, it was long before he was mayor*

Xcellentform

There you go again being self-righteous. Just go ask the citizens of Cleveland. Hate to inform you that I've been to quite a few cities in the Rust Belt and I will take most of them over Oakland, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Philadelphia, Boston, New York, the whole state of Connecticut, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or Washington DC and the area surrounding it. Now I would not mind living in southern Idaho. And his time as mayor helped in the decline of Cleveland.

I love politicians NOT!!! As I have said over and over and over - 99% of politicians have two goals and two goals only

Getting themselves (family/friends) elected/appointed and re-elected/re-appointed. All they need, and clearly have, are a ignorant population. People who have no ability to think, have short term memory, and feel they are entitled to everything for "free".

This is why I support any politician that goes against the main stream (Scott Brown, Marco Rubio), why I will vote against all incumbents.

These lying hypocrites in politics from the local governments all the way to the White House can not be trusted. Some have never actually held a real job!!

An example: Here is Congressman Hoyner, who is currently defending their upcoming use of "Self Executing" process railing against the very same things a few years back. These people cannot be trusted.

To all the supporters of this legislation, I ask you this. If it is so wonderful, if it going to cure the nations healthcare system, why did our entire Feseral Gov. vote themselves exempt from it in an off hours session? It seems odd that one would support such legislation so vigoursly, yet do everything in your power to protect yourself from it.

check the fine print.

Premiums are likely to keep going up even if the health care bill passes, experts say. If cost controls work as advertised, annual increases would level off with time. But don't look for a rollback. Instead, the main reason premiums would be more affordable is that new government tax credits would help cover the cost for millions of people.

Listening to Obama pitch his plan, you might not realize that's how it works.

Dear Mr. Silva-

It is not spelled "Krone's Disease". It is spelled "Crohn's Disease".

Sincerely,

Mister Crackers

Dennis -

You will never be taken seriously again, if you ever were. I hope the ide in Air Foce One was worth it. Fool.

Democrats that vote for Obamacare will pay early in the 2010 and 2012 elections.

The anger in this country against Democrats is about to explode!

Kucinich struggled with Krone's disease? Is there such a thing? Or do you mean Crohn's Disease?

Idaho is one of the many red states that spends more federal tax dollars then it contributes. For a bunch of whiners who cry about poor people getting welfare, you sure do love you some federal dollars. Fing red state leeches.

"healthcare should be a civil right in the country, along with food, housing, and education."

Free house. Free healthcare. Free school. Free groceries.

And only 12 people pay higher taxes! Its a miracle!

Pelosi tied Kooknick to a chair, put on a leather glove, and slapped him repeatedly until he agreed to vote for the plan.

This article seems to better explain what went on behind the scenes between Obama and Kucinich:

http://peacemoonbeam.typepad.com/scooters_report/2010/03/obama-sways-kucinich.html

I must be missing something here. Instead of discussing this with Obama, Pelosi and wife, shouldn't he be basing his vote on what the people he represents want?

Somebody check Dennis' or his wife's bank accounts for large deposits. No politician caves in so easily for purely "the good of the courtry".

If National Health Care is so wonderful .. Why did that leader in Canada come to FL for heart surgery ? Thanks to Obama we now live in a Banana Republic .. and all you obamabots should be ashmed of yourselves ... We have 12% unemployment in IL ... Hey Mr Prez why don't you care about JOBS ...who do you think is going to pay for all the free care. Also Mr. Prez if Health Care is so important how come it doesn't come into effect until 2014 .. when you (hopefully) will be back in Chicago writing books like "How I destroyed the US"

So how much did this vote cost the US taxpayers?

Maybe BO promised not to campaign for Dennis?

I, and many other Americans, are tired of the tyrannical one party system forcing their "rule" upon the vast majority who don't want it.

They will pay for their treason.

"I have doubts about the bill,'' he said. "This is not the bill I wanted to support.... However, after careful discussions with President Obama, (House) Speaker (Nancy) Pelosi'' and his family, he said, "I have decided to cast a vote in favor of the legislation....''

Instead of talking with Obama & Pelosi, why didn't he speak with the people in his district? Are they not to be bothered when making a decision as their representative?

Obama doesn't care if his quest for a takeover American health care splits the country apart. He doesn't care if it raises taxes on the middle class or increases the deficit or forces people to change insurance plans they love or doesn't actually fix the things it is supposed to fix. He’s blinded by his ideology to transform the nation into a Euro-style, socialist state at the expense of our tax dollars and freedoms. That's not the kind of hyper-partisan, divisive president most Americans who voted for Obama thought they were getting. But that's who he is. Obama is bad, bad news for America.

Dennis the Menace put Cleveland into bankruptcy, why not bankrupt the USA with this sham of a "health care" bill?

When every thing is said and done, President Obama and Vice-President Biden and most of the Democrats in our Congress can walk away from this engagement knowing they didn't lie, mislead, scare or intimidate their way to victory, if it turns out that way. If it doesn't, they can still face the American nation honestly and forth-rightly, no small consolation, in my eyes. A laughable mindset to most of those who did lie, mislead, intimidate or scare the more vulnerable among us, but that is their lack of conscience. It is their lack of compassion that allows them to vilify the right-minded, right-hearted politicians that were in this effort to do right by the American people, all of the American people. If they succeed in killing this reform effort, that is not all that they will have killed, there is the matter of the 40,000 American, who, due to no or insufficient healthcare, will die this year. I am sure the families of those Healthcare Insurer's victims/clients will be grateful to all of you for your lies, distortions and of course, your unquestioning patriotism. Remember. America First, citizens second !!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

Little Dennis must have been really impressed with riding on the big airplane.

I'm glad Kucinich will vote yes. He's one of the most outspoken, principled members of the house. For him to say something like, "This bill doesn't include everything that I want, but voting for it is better than not having any reform at all," is a good thing.

Enacting health care reform will be beneficial for the people of our country.

WAY TO GO, DENNIS!!!

With or without Kucinish, the facts remain: 60 percent os Amerians say Congress should start from scratch. A majority agree that health care legislation would do more harm than good, making them and their loved ones (53%), the economy (54%), and the U.S. health care system (55%) worse off. And 7 out of 10 would vote against a House member who votes for the health care bill with its special interest provisions, including 72% of independents.

Obama has set a new record by running up $2 trillion in debt in 421 days. See Greece, California and Illinois to know where Obama intends to lead America. Then after he bankrupts the county, he will be easier for him to recreate the nation into his Euro-style, welfare state vision.

Even the Obama-friendly Associate Press is pointing out Obama's lies: "Buyers, beware: President Barack Obama says his health care overhaul will lower premiums by double digits, but check the fine print. Premiums are likely to keep going up even if the health care bill passes, experts say. If cost controls work as advertised, annual increases would level off with time. But don’t look for a rollback. Instead, the main reason premiums would be more affordable is that new government tax credits would help cover the cost for millions of people. Listening to Obama pitch his plan, you might not realize that’s how it works."

health Care for all Americans now, thanks to President Obama's resiliency and courage! Not one past President ever thought of our health, this President really CARES....

Latest projection, if passed it will bankrupt the country in four years.

Now I understand why they don't want to vote on it directly.

Why is no one looking at Massachusetts and how much their program is costing them? (psst. they're in the red)

Your costs will not go down. Costs only go up. If more people are covered, cost go up. As people live longer, costs go up. Any surplus that may be achieved while we're getting taxed for something that we won't get to use until 2014 will get used up -- in only 4 years I guess.

I hope any damage done can be reversed in 2012...

So he is asking everybody except his constituents? Here is the real problem I see with this process!

I'll be for the plan when the politicians are in the same plan. Until then, no thanks! Funny it is good for us but not for them. Vote everyone out of office that casts a yes vote for this.

Loser!!

Mr. Don Fitzgerald, would you please put down the crack pipe and step away? The right-minded, right-hearted politicians are the ones on the right wing, standing in opposition to this horrible legislation. Does America need healthcare reform? Yes. Does American want healthcare reform? Yes. Does America want "Obamacare?" No. If you are looking for dishonesty, look to those who ignore alternative proposals and unfairly paint the opposition as the party of "no."

It's laughable that people are so gung-ho about keeping this highly flawed health care system intact when, in fact, reform of said system was cited as one of the major reasons Obama won the election in the first place.

The fact that anyone has to utter the words "I can't afford to see a doctor" shows just how messed up things are with this so-called "best health care system in the world".

Maybe the same politicians that have scared the rest of the sheep in this country into thinking changes don't need to be made should be like Nascar drivers and wear the names of the health care companies that are sponsoring them on their jackets. Then we'll know why they voted the way they voted on the bill.

Obama has gone upside down in the new Gallop Poll out today. A whopping 47 percent of Americans disapprove of him compared to 46 percent that approve. The backlash against Obama and Democrats is only just beginning.

To all the supporters of this legislation, I ask you this. If it is so wonderful, if it going to cure the nations healthcare system, why did our entire Feseral Gov. vote themselves exempt from it in an off hours session?

This plan is for those who DO NOT have insurance or CANNOT afford health insurance. Congressmembers HAVE insurance. Do. You. Understand?

Demorats dont have the votes. IT wont pass even with Obamas "Air Force One CARNIVAL RIDES" to Dennis.

Flips indeed. What was the PAY- OFF? Another Nebraska accommodation? or was it a Union accommodation? Or was it some sort of Louisiana Purchase? More Chicago backroom deals with the public holding and paying for the bag.

When 45% of doctors leave the system, who's going to be left to provide all that "FREE" healthcare?

The system will be swamped.

Bunch of nonsense ! They bought another vote, Dennis should be listening to the people he represents not Obama and Pelosi ! I'm sure Dennis made a great deal for himself, because his career is now over, maybe his wife gets a nice cushy job working with Pelosi !

"Obama has set a new record by running up $2 trillion in debt in 421 days"

How much did George W. Bush put us in debt by starting this war that will never end?
It doesn't really matter anyway, as it's just a matter of time before we are owned by China.

YEAH, LET'S HAVE WHAT MASS HAS: So much for bending the cost curve.
*
On Sunday, White House political adviser David Axelrod appeared on ABC's "This Week" and tried to brush aside the message sent by Sen. Scott Brown's (R-Mass.) improbable election. "Senator Brown comes from a state that has a health care plan that's similar to the one we're trying to enact here," Axelrod said. "We're just trying to give the rest of America the same opportunities that the people of Massachusetts have."
*
Medicaid costs have continued to explode, rising from $7.5 billion to an estimated $9.2 billion since the Massachusetts health care law has taken effect. More people now have coverage, but of the 407,000 newly insured only 32 percent paid for their insurance entirely on their own. The remaining 68 percent were either partially or wholly subsidized by the taxpayers. Only 5 percent of newly insured Massachusetts residents who are not receiving any taxpayer benefits obtained their coverage through the state's "Connector" health care exchange.
*
What's more, according to figures obtained from Cahill's office, only 23 percent of those enrolled in the state-managed health insurance programs pay anything toward their coverage. About 99,000 newly insured Massachusetts residents now receive free coverage through Medicaid. Another 87,000 receive 100 percent taxpayer subsidies through the Connector's "Commonwealth Care" program. And another 26,000 are legal immigrants ineligible for federal subsidies who benefit under the Commonwealth Care Bridge program.
*
Not only has health care reform cost the state an additional $4.2 billion, but small businesses and consumers are getting walloped. Health care costs continue to skyrocket. Insurance premiums have jumped 12 percent over a two-year period. So much for bending the cost curve.

Kyle-"reform of said system was cited as one of the major reasons Obama won the election in the first place"
So was open and transparent process, which this has lacked.

From the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

"But he acknowledged this morning that his choice now is to either vote "no" on principle, and thereby possibly block the biggest (though imperfect) advance in health coverage in decades, or compromise for the good of the estimated 30 million more Americans who could gain insurance."

Exactly! Well said Mr. Kucinich, we're glad you have finally seen the light!

"Yes, Kucinich is correct, healthcare should be a civil right in the country, along with food, housing, and education. given those 4 basic rights, everyone would be given a fair chanvce to fail or fluorish, depending upon their determination and their perserveirence."

No no no no no. You have to WORK and these things are your REWARD. No more communism. What are your rights? Free speech, gun ownership, the right to choose your church, the right to life, the right to vote.

People who espouse communism like this should be investigated. Their hatred for America knows no bounds. We need a tea party in America!

craig --- enough with "never ending " war stuff ... Obama hasn't stopped the war in Iraq either .. in fact he is making things worse in afg. by using drones (I'm glad he is killing terrorists .. but he is killing innocents to ) Where is the media on that ? take your obama kool-aide and stick your head in the sand. Did you know under the Fredom of Information Act Obama has turned down 71,000 request compared to Bush turning down 46,000 in his last 2 years. Obama is a child who is really destroying the country but you and obamabots like you are to blind to see

One step closer. Good news.

We have accepted ridiculous rules like "pre-existing" conditions for too long. People are brainwashed into thinking that that sort of treatment is actually acceptable. I don't believe this is a silver bullet. But, it is a step in the right direction.

I do not believe Dem's will suffer in the fall. I believe the GOP will suffer. Turning a blind eye, not participating in the process, supporting greedy insurance companies and their death panels is selling out the American public. More needs to be done, without a doubt. But, I am anxious to see our elected officials make a bold move for once.

I sure hope that the Federal Government does as well with FREE government run healthcare as they have done with Social Insecurity! Oh, what's that you say? The Social Insecurity trust fund is full of IOU's and the Feds have been borrowing and spending against it for years? It's now going to be insolvent by 2017 according to recent projections? Oops, never mind. This reminds me of that scene in 'When Barry met Pelosi.' Dumb Dumb voters. Everything for free and nobody to pay for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GSXbgfKFWg

Health Care is not a right... to illegal Aliens. Food and Education is not a right to Ilegal Alliens. THE SYTEM is set to break. I am sick of paying your bills!
ALSO I will go to my early grave not caring tha t billionare will always get better care than me !
Their is reasonable cost and and care and rediclolus. The lard that over ate , drank and smoked every day for 40 years should not be given a free liver or lypo.

I hate the 900$ aspirin but how is Obama care gonna stop that while allowing everyone to burden the system further.
AMERICAN has the #1 health care in the world! do not doubt it ever!

From the "brilliant" mind of DON FITZGERALD: When every thing is said and done, President Obama and Vice-President Biden and most of the Democrats in our Congress can walk away from this engagement knowing they didn't lie, mislead, scare or intimidate their way to victory, if it turns out that way.

Well, Don, I could spend about two hours listing all the lies from the White House and Dems about health care, but I will just list one:
On Monday, Don's hero, Barack Obimbo, said if this bill is passed, employer health care premiums will fall by 3,000 percent! Not 30 percent. Nor even an impossible 300 percent, but by 3,000 percent!
Now, Don, that is quite the WHOPPER of a lie by Obimbo, who is probably THE BIGGEST LIAR AND SHAM ARTIST in man's history!
REMOVE OBIMBO NOW! TODAY! PRONTO!

OOOOPS EVEN NOBAMA-FRIENDLY AP CAN'T IGNORE THE FACTS!

Just what has the government ever done that is cheaper???

"MOST TRANSPARENT SHAMINISTRATION **EVER**" MISS ME YET? OBAMA STONEWALLS ALMOST 2X BUSH
PROMISES, PROMISES: Is gov't more open with Obama?
WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal agencies haven't lived up to President Barack Obama's promise of a more open government, increasing their use of legal exemptions to keep records secret during his first year in office.
An Associated Press review of Freedom of Information Act reports filed by 17 major agencies found that the use of nearly every one of the law's nine exemptions to withhold information from the public rose in fiscal year 2009, which ended last October.
*
Among the most frequently used exemptions: one that lets the government hide records that detail its internal decision-making. Obama specifically directed agencies to stop using that exemption so frequently, but that directive appears to have been widely ignored.
*
Major agencies cited that exemption at least 70,779 times during the 2009 budget year, up from 47,395 times during President George W. Bush's final full budget year, according to annual FOIA reports filed by federal agencies. Obama was president for nine months in the 2009 period.

Obamacare is an economic time bomb, but mopes like Kucinich can apparently be bought.

Horrible Form,

Kudos for showing what the loons really want: "healthcare should be a civil right in the country, along with food, housing, and education."

Have you ever had gov't food? Ever try some of the gov't cheese?

Have you ever lived in public housing?

How about public educatuion? Not even BO thinks its good enough for his kids. And yet you want to have the gov't probing you.

Isn't he the presidential candidate that said he was abducted by aliens? Well, it likes an obamabot got him this time.

i must have missed something in my civics class. I thought "rights" were granted by the constitution and the bill of rights. i just can't find government subsidized healthcare (or, for that matter, education) anywhere in those documents. Of course, why not continue down this path and make food, liquor, shelter and satellite TV a "right"??? Oh, yeah, and i'd like a free car too...maybe Government Motors can provide that.

Just remember people, you have your chance to clean out Washington in November. If you don't vote, you have no right to complain. It's obvious to all of us now, Washington is ignoring us. They're all scumbags.

Kucinich is to Cleveland what Blagojevich was to Illinois: Destroyer of the business base and ultra-liberal true believer. How it took so long for him to become enchanted by Obama is beyond me. He pretty much killed Cleveland while I lived there, just as Blago drove what was left of Illinois into a ditch. Kucinich is a communist at heart, and has no clue about the private sector or the real world.

I hope the American people let our voices be heard against H.R. 3590 health care legislation that will drive up costs, diminish quality and limit access. There can be HC improvements but H.R. 3590 is not acceptable on many levels. For those respecting life of the elderly and all people or not, H.R. 3590 is filled with Pro-Abortion Mandates, subsidies, loopholes with fake abortion restrictions that will expire almost immediately. Pro-Abortion is one thing but forcing all of us to pay for it elective Abortions on vulnerable young women and girls who really just need moral support is not Health Care. The affect on medicare and limits on care to the elderly is brining our country down a path that cannot have a positive affect on respecting human life. How is this health care?

Horrible Form,

Why stop at health care, education, food, and housing? Why not add utilities, clothing, basic cable, internet access, haircuts, and daily Starbucks?

As for your federal gov't doing so well on the food/education side, did you know that children that eat school lunches are more likely to be overweight?

http://www2.med.umich.edu/prmc/media/newsroom/details.cfm?ID=1514

That pretty much wraps two of your rights (food and education) provided and screwed-up by the gov't causing the increased use of a 3rd right (health care).

What better example of federal incomptance than this.

Willie Nelson loves this guy. I love Willie, but it is not like the commutative property in Math World. Willie never knows what he does with respect to these kind of arrangements, so it is all good. All democrats can be had for a price. Kucinich’s price was so bargain basement cheap. Who knew.

I just went to my facebook, told him how disappointed I am in him, and became an ex follower. You people who want this forced insurance are so naive. If the special interests can get this guy to turn, think of how much they can turn this law to their advantage by the time it goes into full effect. Just another step to serfdom. What part of NO don't these creeps understand!

Xcellentform sure wish I had know that BEFORE I worked to provide those things for myself.. I could have smoking and kicking back instead of working.. and paying for those who figure they should be GIVEN these things for free..

It's alright to let 40,000 Americans die every year because they can't afford healthcare, or all they can afford is healthcare denied. You, Obstructionists make me laugh !! Yes, I am well aware of how our government works. I am also well versed in how our elected officials shield themselves frmo their own legislation. If they were confident of their idea, there would be no reason for them to ensure they were exempt. It would be a mute subject. They way to convince the average Joe/Jane that a plan is a good one is not to go to such measures to shield one's self from their own legislation. Add to this that the vote was late, avoiding immediate coverage.
As a Social Worker, QMRP and Social Service Manager, I find your need to sling childish names amusing. One secure in one's statements need not resort to such pettiness to articulate their opinion. I have worked with Developmetally Diasbled childre/adults for over 25 years. You have no right to use such terms to cover your own insecurities. Take a long look in the mirror my friend. As you do, you will see a much better image of what retardation is. Oh, one more thing, I am an independent, not a Republican.

teri, et al.,

I am talking about a robust safety net that will catch the middle class on its way to the bottom class. You idiots do realize that we mostly have this system set up, it's just not effective. I saw on tv a tent-city with no running water, no electricity, and people that were desperate for food, water, and the basics. Which 3rd world coutry was it? No, not Haiti. It was a CNN interview in California and they were talking with people that were formerly in the US middle class. I just love all that good ol christian love that the pugs spread around.

Horrible Form,

"Yes, Kucinich is correct, healthcare should be a civil right in the country, along with food, housing, and education" If it is a right of the individual, then it can not be income dependent. Is free speech reserved for only those making under $250K?

Tent City, Calfornia - another success of liberal California.

YES, KUCINICH IS CORRECT WE SEND THE SENATORS TO WASHINGTON TO WORK FOR AMERICAN PEOPLE,NOT FOR INSURANCE CO.

teri, it is obvious from your posts that you have no concept of what a social safety net is. You'll quickly see how valuable it is when the mob is banging down your front door.

Horrible Form,

And you have no idea what a right is.

You want to give free housing, education, food, hosuing and healthcare as basic rights.

Is public education currently a safety net or available to all?

If you are giving away these four rights, don't you think the individual needs free utilities to live in the free housing?

What about transportation vouchers so the individual can get from point A to Point B?

You free loaders just want to sit back with your feet up on the couch and let others support you.
