If it seems like you've heard a lot from President Barack Obama about healthcare lately, it's because you have: Obama, who has delivered 54 speeches or statements on healthcare, has turned to the subject one in five times since the start of the year.

Obama talks health care.jpg

Our good colleague Mark Knoller, the CBS Newsman at the White House who not only chronicles, but also keeps count -- he's the source of our notes that former President George W. Bush spent more than a year of days at his Texas ranch during his two terms as president -- has been keeping count of Obama's healthcare talks.

"Since launching his campaign for health care reform with a White House forum on March 5th of last year, Mr. Obama has delivered 54 speeches and statements on the issue,'' Knoller reports today. "He has done health care events in 12 states, some of them more than once. He's done nne 'town hall meetings' on health care and made it the focus of 13 of his Saturday radio and Internet addresses.

"There are those who say we should defer health care reform once again -- that at a time of economic crisis, we simply can't afford to fix our health care system, as well,'' the president said in March of 2009.

And today, appearing at a college campus in Virginia for his 54th talk on healthcare, the president said: "You've got a whole bunch of opponents of this bill saying, 'Well, we can't afford this; we're fiscal conservatives.' Not only can we afford to do this, we can't afford not to do this."

By Knoller's count, and you can take it to the news bank, friends, Obama has made 471 speeches, remarks and comments "on every issue under the sun since taking office 423 days ago. His 54 statements on healthcare reform mean that better than one in 10 was on healthcare. Since the first of this year, it's been nearly two in 10.''

BOCare will not reduce the deficits as the Liar in Chief has stated, and he knows it. In addition, what BO doesn't understand is the harm this have on American comapnies. Caterpillar states that BOCare will incraese their costs by $100 million in the first year alone. Multiply that by all the other companies in this country. This will cost American buisness tens of billions of dollars

What happens when a company's costs increase? They will try reduce other costs - can you say layoffs? Perhaps they will try to pass the costs on to their customers - that nice if their competitors are all American based. However, CAT's competitors are foriegn based. BOCare just reduced demand for CAT products worldwide - what happens - more layoffs.

On the morning of Sunday December 7, 1941 a Japanese admiral was watching his squadrons return after their attack on Pearl Harbor and realize that he had just woken a sleeping giant. I believe this Sunday, March 21, 2010 will be the day that the giant is woken once more. But this time not to defend America's freedom from a outside threat but this time it's one from within. This threat will not be a show of arms but a battle at the ballot box. The vast majority of voters have let it be known they do not support this bill and will not support those that vote for it. I believe by the end of this year calling yourself a liberal or a Democrat will be detrimental to your future success. Remember the years 1854 and 1941 both of which were major turning points in this country's history. In one the beginning of a political party being wiped off the landscape of American politics and in the other the start of the dismantle of a empire.

Besides, outsourcing may have already solved the problem. Many illegals are fleeing to Mexico for one of the GOOD American jobs.

"Slaughterhouse Rules" is an apt description of what the Congress and Obama are doing to this country.

I'm sorry to say this but I would not buy a used car from this guy,

Thank you, CAT, for making the case for universal health care.

With rising costs, it's only a matter of time before all employers stop offering healthcare coverage to it's employees.

Perhaps now you will see the light but I doubt it. People like you need to feel superior to others by living an extra 5 minutes.

No, Slaughterhouse Rules, are what the Healthcare Insurance Corporations are practicing on 40,000 Americans, every year, that die because they don't have any healthcare or are under-covered by expensive policies or have " pre-existing " conditions. Anyway, that The Democrats can enact this very necessary and very important legislation will be a blessing to the millions of our citizens, who don't have healthcare. Remember how difficult it was to enact Social Security and I, for one of millions, thank God that the Democrats enacted that legislation, as well !!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

BOCare will increase CAT's health care costs by $100 million. What do you find so positive about that? Higher unemployment?

universal healthcare, which you oppose, would solve that problem. you see how you managed to back yourself right into a corner, ter old pal?

Most Americans agree the current health care system in the United States has become inefficient while costs continue to skyrocket year after year. Statistics report, that more than 14,000 American’s lose some type of health care coverage daily. Although many Americans are protected by using one of the five leading insurance carriers, their benefits are limited while their monthly premiums continue to choke their hard earned dollars into financial hardship and bankruptcy. Most everyone affected by the current programs agree some type of reform is needed.
The poor system of operation has been a controversial issue dating as far back as 1943 when Franklin D. Roosevelt became president. Along with representative, John Dingle one of the longest running congressional representatives and many others have joined forces to speak out against the current programs with hope for a brighter future.
For President Barak Obama, restructuring the current health care system has become a high priority for the administration. In order to successfully meet the demands placed upon the Democratic Party, full cooperation with those directly involved with health care are crucial steps for developing a system that works after the many years of failing to meet societal needs regarding the high cost of health care. Although strategic efforts towards the development of reform are premature, the Obama administration has dedicated the next four years to prove health care reform is possible in order that all Americans are provided coverage.
Based upon the current regulations, most private carriers will cover only a certain number of conditions outlined within their policy. Once their benefits are exhausted, any unpaid balance becomes “personal liability,” or accrued debt. For those people currently insured, this practice creates serious financial problems for many Americans, of whom, are turned away by health care providers due to unpaid accounts; even-though medical attention is needed.
Most all Americans have used some type of health care in their life, or have required medical assistance one time or another and should be provided the opportunity even though financial barriers and oversight create difficulty. Most everyone exhibiting compassion and ethical forms of behavior prefers to be treated with high regard. Unfortunately, humanism seems to have been put on the back burner for some seriously ill individuals.
Documented reports reveal numerous cases involving a sick or wounded wild-life species suffering from environmental conditions. Sickness and disease may have threatened their survival, while those supporting “animal rights” are called to take action and improve conditions regardless of the cost. Demonstration rallies may have also been formed in order that society is kept abreast of the current stressors until positive solutions are found.
Why then is it that sympathetic needs of the less fortunate of nature are addressed, but society fails to recognize the thousands of Americans suffering the high cost of health care? Under the current system, the integrity and degradation of both industry providers are being questioned while government officials turn their backs on the emotional and financial hardships placed upon millions of Americans. Many people agree that providing protection to animals while exercising biased opinions and ignoring the needs of a society are both, de-humanizing and unethical forms of practice when human life is being threatened by the powers of politics and corporate forms of injustice.
Statistics can account for patients who have been denied medical exams for

what may or may not have been life threatening conditions. After seeking the aid of health
care professionals the patients were refused treatment for overdue accounts, and were required to pay the full amount before appointment scheduling was made available to them.
These and many other horror stories mount atop the lawns of white house officials while society struggles to find positive solutions concerning controversial issues.
According to the Obama administration, the proposed plan will provide low cost health care for all Americans regardless of their ability to pay. The recommendations will provide more stability and security to areas currently being threatened by the irresponsible acts of fraud and disorganization. The new plan will also pressure private insurance carriers to become competitive while exercising a more ethical and honest form of business practice.
Once the four-year developmental stages are in operation, laws will have changed and it will be unlawful for private insurance carriers to drop, or deny individuals coverage on pre-existing illnesses. Nor will a “Cap” or financial limit, be placed on those needing coverage. “Out of pocket” expenses not included in individual plans will also be provided for, including medications and non covered illnesses, which are now consuming the life savings of many hard working Americans. Loss of employment or failing to report prior illnesses to your insurance company will no longer be a controversial issue under the new plan. Ultimately, anyone needing health care will be able to receive it regardless of his or her ability to pay. Although Americans are not being forced to participate in the new plan, more compassion and ethical attitudes of operation will be the focus verses financial ruin and death.
Do these recommendations sound easily achieved? Probably not, however, of the ten million or so uninsured Americans, complete cooperation and industrious thinkers from all lifestyles will be challenged, as new bills are passed and the old or outdated methods seek ratification. In order for the “restructuring phase” to receive fair consideration, everyone must be open to change, while providing feed-back for improvement in order for all members of society to be adequately cared for.
Many of the concerns expressed by private insurance carriers heighten awareness for their inability to compete with the “offensive strength” of government intervention and are to no avail, even though their clients seek restitution from the unreasonable and oppressive conditions involved with lapse of coverage and limited benefits. To many investors, government intervention would be detrimental for those businesses operating under the “canopy” of private carriers.
According to Obama, the new plan will force private carriers to re-evaluate their current operations and establish new and more efficient ways for conducting business. Among the 90% of cabinet members and several supporters, including The AARP (American Association for Retired Persons) recognize the benefit advantages and would more than likely switch carriers once the new and fair market exchange becomes a reality of healthcare.
For those reaching fifty years of age and older, the numbers are significant and continue to steadily grow. Help with long-term care and medications would eliminate the (Donut Hole) which is now a handicap and life threatening issues for the elderly. The “Donut Hole” forces individuals to choose which is most important due to their limited and fixed income status. When individual finances are stressed, many elderly prioritize and avoid buying the needed medications. Under the new plan, these conditions would become inoperable.
According to Obama, the projected cost for the new plan is 900 Billion dollars over the next ten years and will not increase the deficit scale. Forecasters believe the new plan will slow the growth of health care costs while providing routine check-ups and preventable care to everyone excepting illegal immigrants, who will be exempt from coverage. The new plan will save lives and money while reducing the deficit by 4 trillion dollars over time.
For those American’s seeking refuge, the solutions are left for those possessing the ability to implement change and improve the social downsides of health care. However, it is society’s responsibility to support those elected while strategic efforts build a pathway into the future.

Still Writing Wrong,

Actually universal care would make the problem worse, not better. Higher taxes for everyone, including CAT.

Are you really stupid enough to believe that universal health care is free?

What the Hell? These stupid tea-bagges and right wing nuts are so brain-washed by Limbaugh, Beck and Hannity they have not a clue what is happening! Get rid of the health insurance companies. They are running a racket and preying on the American citizen. Health insurance is a Racket! Period. Remember the republicans never do anything for this country they only do things to this country. whiteagle38

Are you that dense that you do not see how idiotic your argument is. Your so-called universal (which it is not) healthcare will raise the cost of doing business by $100 million. How on God's good earth can you say that's good.
