The Swamp

by Mark Silva

"Ever since I won the Silver Medal in last year's vice presidential election,'' says Tina Fey in another portrayal of Sarah Palin, she has done her best to connect with everyday Americans.

"It just seemed like the next logical step was to launch my own network,'' Fey said on Saturday Night Live -- with a premier "network'' report about the "Obama death panel" declaring that her daughter's ankle injury was too costly and that they would have to put her down.

"Do you hate gotcha journalism?'' Fey-Palin asks.

How about gotcha, journalists?

In which Fey-Palin asks a silent CBS News anchor Katie Couric what newspapers she reads.

"Gotcha.''

Run, Sarah, Run and please don't quit, this time !!
At least Sarah, indirectly, offers some comic relief from the drudgery of name-calling, character-assassinations, distortions, lies, misinformation, hypocrisy, more lies, failed and rejected, former party leaders, who are trying to cash in on Sarah's celebrity status. One more thing that her presence in our political world allows us relief from, all those gosh darn lies the Republican-Libertarian-T.Baggers completely and totally rely on, in order to try and fool America, again.

Perhaps the Swamp will take a rest from its Palin fixation and report that Obama's hit a new low in the Gallup Poll. See http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html for the details Democrats in the media want to hide.

Well, if there ever was a real Sarah Palin network it sure as heck would be lots better than that network Al Bore helped start.
But it also would accomplish some other things that would be grand: It would drive the Left even crazier than what the Left already is.
The Corrupt Lamestream Media also would go even more over the edge.
And, perhaps, it would help satisfy Mark's fixation on the beautiful, smart, sexy former Alaskan governor!

Don, while you and others keep Sarah Palin in the limelight the only ones getting fooled is you. Palin has gone from an obscure Alaska Governor to Television and Political Celebrity. Others on both the Far Left and Right have also cashed in on being TV Political Celebrities such as Keith Olbermann and the Sean Hannity to name a few. Even crazy Glen Beck is making millions. While the Far Left and some in the Liberal Medea laugh and make fun of her, Sarah Palin is getting the last laugh. Palin is laughing all the way to the Bank. Only in America can one make millions being a Television Political Celebrity or TV Preacher.

I don't care what Sarah says or does, "Despot Jim", just as long as she doesn't pull a Cheney&Bush and send our young men and women, of our Armed Forces, into an illegal and senseless war and occupation. She can make a gazillion dollars, for all I care, I am not a Republican-Libertarian-T.Bagger, for whom, money is the beginning and end of existence !!

The woman is an idiot and unfit to drive a car, let alone run for the most powerful political office in the world.

Don, now you are giving everyone titles. I do not know if I like the title "Despot." Since I am getting a title from you I prefer to be called
"Basileus" ("Βασιλεύς").

I am not a Sarah Palin fan. The point I was trying to make in my post was that she is getting a lot of attention and it keeps her in the National Political limelight. And that is scary. If economic conditions do not make any noticeable improvement or get worse, someone like Palin could become electable in the national scene.

Tina Fey for Supreme Court! She is Obama's short list. .........

Silva has the fixation? Someone pour a cold bucket of water on Johnny D!!!

I agree that SNL isn't at it's best but I do like Tina Fey's inpersonations of Palin. It always makes Palin look like what she is, an idiot. Thanks Tina Fey. I didn't believe there was anyone stupid enough to be for Sarah Palin until I read some of these posts.

This was too funny because we all know they would try it if they could. Keep going Silver medalist winner Bailin, priceless.

Johnny Da Bone,

Wipe that drool off your computer keyboard! You do realize that Palin is not reading your post right?

While it has been fun to laugh at her for a couple of years, it is time for her to just move along now. Her ilk have, and will continue to take their toll on this once great nation.

I can’t believe Conservatives are demanding respect from the Left. So that’s IT huh… Michele Bachman and Sarah Palin are the ONLY answers these Conservatives wackos can come up with?

What leadership, character or morals has the right-wing displayed in the past?

NO solutions, NO rational plans, clear agendas or common sense policy… JUST SARAH PALIN/Glenn Beck groupies parroting talking points! Come on, are you right-wing wackos INSANE? Am I missing something here but didn’t Conservatives just have 8 YEARS of Bush/Cheney and Republican controlled Congress (1994-2006) to put your ideology into practice? AND IT ALMOST DESTROYED THE GREATEST NATION ON EARTH!

Waste, fraud, abuse, scandal, sexual deviancy, corruption, lies, incompetence, job outsourcing, off-shore tax evasion, reckless economics, war profiteering, Constitutional violations AND a Corporate Crime Wave of epic proportions…. The WORST looting of a nation’s wealth and resources in the history of MANKIND!

Where was the Tea Party anger THEN?

But you want Democrats/Progressives to believe if you only had one more chance it can work? The very definition of insanity, isn’t IT? Just separate yourselves from Bush/Cheney… bull$#!~ stupid people into believing they’re part of a NEW Conservative Movement. You want the American PEOPLE to put their faith, trust and government in SARAH PALIN, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News and those numbkulls making up the Tea Party cult?

In OTHER WORDS Republican Party talking points are based on the ignorance of their constituents. They revise history and LIE because they CAN… because morons who vote for Republicans DON’T KNOW THEIR OWN HISTORY! This ain’t NO Tea Party… this is a CLASS WAR!

Great Americans WANT TO EMBRACE ETHICS, RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY. Something this sick, twisted Neo-Con generation FAILED miserably at. Republicans in Congress since 1984 have been no better than highly paid prostitutes for the wealthy and powerful. You make me ill every time I see you on the TV, please GO AWAY and let the adults fix the HUGE MESS left over from the Bush/Cheney DISASTER…

I wish the Pharmaceutical Industry could find a cure for the severe superiority complexes, odd paranoia and religious delusions most of the Right-wing is suffering through.

Racist racist, racist!. Since the media both print and most major news outlets always cry racist when anyone disagrees with NObama. I thought turn around is fair play.

You got to love it. These same rabid Palin haters who felt that she didn't have the character or background to be a VP are the same ones who swooned over Kerry's selection of John Edwards as his VP running mate.in '04. I guess that gives us a pretty good idea as to how valid is Fitzgerald's, SPO101, Kevin, et. al. judgement.

Perch Rapala:

I think the majority of our nation decided who was qualified and who "Needed to Improve", deal with that honey bear.

Gold. However, Tina Fey needs to keep up with Sarah Palin's revolving wardrobe. Lately, she's been spotted donning some Titanic look. http://media.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/photo/2010/04/07/PH2010040704902.jpg
I say nothing is more relatable than beer and strings of pearls.
