In case you're wondering what he looks like, here's Ohio Lt. Gov Lee Fisher, who won't be standing with President Obama today in Youngstown. (AP/Jason Miller)

Does Lee Fisher, Ohio's Democratic candidate for Senate, consider President Obama a political liability?
That's a question being asked after it appears that Fisher will avoid appearing with Obama in public in Ohio, a moderate swing state, for the second time. The president will be in Youngstown today, talking about the stimulus package and job creation.
Here's the Cleveland Plain Dealer's take:
Gov. Ted Strickland will be there. So will congressmen Tim Ryan and John Boccieri. You could say they certainly don't see it as toxic to appear with President Barack Obama today in Youngstown.* * *
Fisher "had private meetings" and "couldn't reschedule," spokesman John Collins says via e-mail. But Fisher is "looking forward to joining the president next time."
Obama visited Ohio in March, and Fisher didn't appear in public with the president then either--and his staff again cited a scheduling conflict.
This has been duly noted by the Republican Party, which is backing former Rep. Rob Portman in the general election against Fisher. "Instead of standing up to the leader of his own party and speaking out against his out-of-control spending agenda in Washington, Lee Fisher's frequent and convenient 'scheduling conflicts' demonstrate a glaring lack of leadership from Ohio's Jobs Czar," said Amber Marchand, press secretary for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
Polls have the contest almost dead-even. By the way, this race has gotten, uh, downright uncomfortable. Check out this anti-Portman ad from the Ohio Democratic Party.

"Oh shucks, my schedule won't permit me to be seen in public with the President of the United States. Um... that, plus the guy's a really HUGE frickin' liability. After all I'm trying to get elected here."

It seems the Dems are running away from Obama, at least during the election season. The Dems know Obama is toxic and the American voters are disgusted with he and is Progressive policies. But, this is just another example of the Rahm plan in play. Their ploy is to attempt to fool the voters with the "moderate" Democrat candidate. If their plan succeeds, that "moderate" Democrat then becomes just another lackey for the Progressive Movement in America.
We need another Calvin Coolidge, the last President that halted the Progressive's attempt to control the country in the 20's. The Progressives are at it again!
Don't be fooled by these lame Democrats claiming to be "moderates."
Although, the MoveOn.org (the mega Progressive, George Soro funded group) has their own extreme leftist candidates challenging the remaining moderate Democrats, for example the MoveOn.org candidate, Bill Halter, challenging Blanch Lincoln in Arkansas. (like extreme leftists are the mainstream in Arkansas)
