Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Iraq on Monday as part of the formal end of the United States' combat role in Iraq, the White House announced.
Biden will also hold talks with Iraqi officials, who have been struggling to form a new government. This is Biden's sixth trip to Iraq since January 2009, when the Obama administration took office.
There are currently less than 50,000 U.S. troops in Iraq, down from the high of 160,000 under former President George W. Bush. Combat troops completed their withdrawal last week. The remaining U.S. troops will assist and train Iraqi troops.
President Obama is scheduled to address the nation on Tuesday on Iraq and Afghanistan.
According to the White House, Biden will meet with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, Vice President Tariq Hashimi, Vice President Adil Abd Mahdi and Prime Minister Nouri Maliki.

The incredible thing is, it probably will not work. It didn't in 2008 and I know the nation is't as stupid as the Republican-Libertarian-T.Baggers are playing the American voter, today. They will regret their tactics of fear and smear, the Obstructionists are force-feeding the American public!!

Don't talk or write about the troops leaving Iraq. Swamp historian bill r. accused Fox News of aiding and abetting the Taliban by announcing this super secret of------ troop withdrawal!

You should take a vacation to Iraq. The mission has been accomplished and all is just fine over there. No worries Paula. Everything's cool and the nightlife is supposed to be awesome.
I'd go myself but I recently returned from a nice relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

I'll give BO his props, thank God this is one Bush policy he saw thru. Iraq has reached a major milestone because BO kepy using the Bush strategy of withdrawing the troops in August, 2010.
