In one of the best Daily Show segments of the year, Jon Stewart exposed the financial idiocy of Sarah the Quitter Queen, Orange John Boehner, and other Republicans who have been complaining about the deficit while simultaneously advocating to renew Bush's tax cuts for the rich.

The President is taking responsibilities by mopping up the mess left from 10 years of disaster: Cleaning up Wall Street; plugging the tax cheats; remove tax cuts for companies who sent jobs overseas;improve our healthcare system through automated records; fund local govt. so they don't completely shut down your local schools; foster green energy; paved your local potholes (my street looks real nice now. It use to be full of pot holes); provide extension for the unemployment (whom Republicans believe are just too lazy to work and not because all the jobs were shipped to China); stopped subsiding the oil companies (which they don't need because they have been raking trillions), on and on and on. . .

The most obvious of the misleading statements would be, and most meaningless, though, a very inference-laden statement, was the time of the elections of Senators Obama and Biden. Actually, they didn't take their respective executive offices until, as you well know, 2009, January 20. It was only then that they could officially be referred to as President Obama and Vice-President Biden.
As for Senator Reid's leadership role of the majority Party, the Democrats, that occurred 2007. Every subsequent Congress has been dominated, and stymied, by the obstructionist Republican's use of the filibuster, in order to prevent the majority party, the Democrats, from doing the will of the American voters, who elected them the majority Party!!
As for your concern with jobs, which doesn't seem, for you, a human concern, so much as a political tool, with which to bludgeon the wrong President. Can you give me an honest answer, concerning what else was taking place at the time when President Obama and Vice-President Biden were taking their Oath of Office? I'll make, what I think is, a long historically-accurate account, short. At the same time that they were being inaugurated, January 20, 2009, between 500,000 to 800,000 jobs were being recorded as being lost, to our economy. Before they even took Office, that amount of job loss was nearly as great months before their inauguration, as well as months afterward. So, you have this job-killoff, during the waning days and months of the Bush&Cheney administration, Meanwhile, there is a Wall Street scam, the likes of which, America hasn't seen since 1929, which is the cause of these job-kills, among other Republican policies. So, to make a long story, shorter, we bail out the Financial Corporations of Wall Street, expecting them to start the credit flow, to generate the beginning of replacing the millions of lost jobs that their schemes and scams caused, but instead, they sit on the Billions of tax dollars, we lent them, so they could stay afloat and a void the " Black whole " of all Depressions. Instead, they sit on our money and gain millions, billions of dollars, in interest, while our economy is sinking. This is part of the disastrous scenario that President Obama and Vice-President Biden were met with, upon entering their first term in the Offices of President and Vice-President. i know there are a lot of holes in this account, but I sincerely believe I have rendered the facts as accurately as I recall them. In doing so, I can not avoid, blaming the culprits that visited this economic, moral and national disaster upon us. President Bush II and Vice-President Cheney, who had the ignorance to pretend not to know what branch of government he had to answer to, in spite of the fact, that he was elected, Vice-President, will ultimately take the collar for the disaster that is now trying to be tied around President Obama's and Vice-President Biden's neck, by Corporate America and the obstructionist Republicans, in their multitude disguises. Can some lib explain to me why I should pay for someone else to weatherize their home after having already paid to do my own home?

Why should government put a higher priority on weatherizing someone else's home than I might place on buying a more fuel efficient car, buy local produce or anything else I might otherwise do if I still had my money?

It can’t yet be termed a double dipper, it certainly isn’t the Big Dipper, but VP Joe Biden’s sanguine reference some weeks ago to the summer of 2010 as “recovery summer” is turning out to be one of the dumbest and most presumptuous remarks our dumb and presumptuous vice president has made to date.

Even if Biden’s July mantra was only part of the administration’s campaign to convince the American people not to believe their lying eyes and those lying economic numbers and it wasn’t one his very original observations such as, “This is a f***ing big deal!” the term “Recovery Summer” has been hung around the VP’s neck like a dead economic albatross.

And, not only is Recovery Summer 2010 collapsing into Relapse Summer 2010 but the administration doesn’t seem to much care or notice any more than they notice former rabid supporters turning on them as if they had a terminal dose of the plague.

When the CBO announces that Obama’s stimulus “may” have added 3.1 million jobs and lowered the unemployment rate by up to 1.7% in the second quarter and is unable to substantiate either of those bizarre claims and no one is able to locate any of those phantom jobs and the Commerce Department reports a paltry 1.7% GDP increase in that same quarter, people begin to wonder as should the Obamians.

When staunch Obamian from day one, David Letterman, begins cracking jokes about the sorry state of America’s financial affairs and refers to his former hero as a one-term president, which Letterman has been doing of late, Obamians might want to consider sitting up and taking notice even if, by force of habit, Dave and his writers still reserve their most scathing rips for George W. Bush.

While our men and women are deployed to various hotspots around the world, This national " leader " has the gall to stage a farce, to the consternation, disappointment and disregard for our men and women in our Armed Forces, who were, and still are, somewheres, in harm's way. Now, had he answered our country's call to duty, in the Vietnam era, as Cheney aught have, as well, I don't think we would have been subjected to such an insensitive farce.
